Jams, the Protein PB&J Company Backed by Alex Morgan and C.J. Stroud, Launches Exclusive Partnership with Walmart
Jams launched their PB&J sandwich across Walmarts nationwide on July 14 Each sandwich contains 10 grams of protein Various athletes and influencers have partnered with the brandIt's Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Jams, a new crustless PB&J company, just launched an exclusive, nationwide partnership with Walmart on Monday, July 14. Founded by 26-year-old entrepreneur Connor Blakley, these protein-rich sandwiches are equipped with 10 grams of protein and can be found in the frozen section in over three thousand Walmart locations across the U.S. In October, the Athletic reported that NFL teams eat at least 80,000 Uncrustable sandwiches a year, and Jams seeks to enter the PB&J market by offering a healthier alternative to the beloved sandwich. 'You shouldn't have to choose between delicious taste and ingredients you feel good about,' Blakely, founder of the Nashville-based consumer product house The DropOut Companies, said in a statement. 'Our product does not taste like artificial garbage.' The protein-packed snacks are available in two signature flavors — Strawberry and Mixed Berry — and don't contain any seed oils, food dyes or high fructose syrup. While competitor Smucker's Uncrustables also don't feature artificial ingredients, it has twice as much sugar and four fewer grams of protein than Jams. It's worth noting that a four-pack of Jams, $5.87, does cost slightly more than a 4-pack of Uncrustables, $4.34. Jams should be stored in the freezer after purchasing, and like their Uncrustable counterparts, can be eaten frozen, toasted or thawed out. NFL stars Micah Parsons and C.J. Stroud, and U.S. women's soccer star Alex Morgan are among a few athletes and internet creators who have partnered with the brand. The company aims to announce multiple other collaborations with popular influencers and athletes weekly over the next couple of months. 'Jams represent everything we believe brands should be - innovative, bold, and authentic. We make a deliberate choice not to cut corners," co-founder Josh Franko said. Jams are available exclusively in Walmart stores across the U.S. and online at Read the original article on People

I'm a Dietitian and This Is My Favorite Healthy Peanut Butter
Peanut butter has been a lifelong favorite for its comfort and nutritional benefits. Once Again brand is my top pick for its simple ingredients, taste and environment-friendly glass jar. Peanut butter is a great addition to smoothies, breakfast recipes and as part of a you know me, then you know that I start almost every single day with a piece of whole-wheat toast topped with peanut butter. Somehow it's the only breakfast combination that not only helps me feel satisfied, but also brings me joy. It's simple, but perfect to me. And frankly, it's a food I couldn't live without. I've sampled my fair share of peanut butter brands, but the Once Again brand is my favorite. Here's why. Before I was a dietitian, I was a kid. And I spent my early childhood eating plenty of bologna sandwiches, but even more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I remember the anticipation of opening my brown paper bag at lunchtime, hoping that the sandwich wrapped in foil was peanut butter with grape jelly on white bread (and not the warm turkey and cheese sandwich that would sometimes be packed). Somehow, like fine wine, PB&J seemed to get better with time. If it was smashed or a little warm, well, that just added to its charm for me. While the jelly was good, it was the peanut butter I loved most. It was savory, creamy and just a little sweet. It was perfect. My love of peanut butter continued into high school and even into college, when money was tight, but I needed something to fuel sports (I was a collegiate cyclist) and learning. As a nutrition major, I began to understand why peanut butter was such a great food. Nuts, like peanuts, are a great source of plant-based protein, exactly what I needed for fueling my active body and brain. They also have fiber and unsaturated fat to help fill me up and keep me satisfied for hours. I quickly learned from classes and reading nutrition labels that the creamy, sweet peanut butter of my childhood had added sugar and hydrogenated oils, which can be damaging to our health in excess. So I transitioned to 'natural' peanut butter, which often means it's made with just peanuts and salt. I learned to love the simplicity of that peanut butter and have been enjoying it that way ever since. Now that you know how deep my relationship with peanut butter is, I hope you can trust me when I say that Once Again peanut butter is my absolute favorite of all store-bought peanut butters. I only shop the original line (not the 'No-Stir') and prefer their 'lightly salted' option, which has only 50 milligrams sodium per 2-tablespoon serving. Both the creamy and crunchy varieties are delicious, and I appreciate that they only contain two ingredients, peanuts and salt! Unlike some other natural peanut butters, this one is easy to stir and, once stirred, it's a dream for spreading and enjoying. The flavor is perfectly peanutty, with just the right amount of sweet warmth from being roasted. Beyond flavor, I also love that this peanut butter comes in a glass jar. The environment and the health of our planet is important, so I prefer glass versus plastic. Plus, once I've enjoyed every last bit of peanut butter, I can easily clean the jar and use it for storing leftovers, holding fresh flowers or recycling. Whatever peanut butter you love, know that it's a great addition to breakfasts like Spinach, Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothie or High-Protein Strawberry & Peanut Butter Overnight Oats. Try it in snacks like our Peanut Butter Energy Balls or even spread on a slice of celery, too. And you can even add peanut butter to dinner recipes like our Roasted Tofu & Broccoli with Peanut-Curry Sauce. As a registered dietitian, peanut butter is something I'll always have stocked in my pantry (and it's usually the Once Again brand). Read the original article on EATINGWELL

Court hearing descends into chaos as Detroit mom is caught making a SNACK on video call
A court hearing in Detroit descended into chaos after a mom was caught making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while on video call with the judge, who she then continued to argue with. Asia Outerbridge was berated by 36th District Court Judge Sean Perkins after she showed up late to her Zoom court hearing wearing a robe and then making a PB&J sandwich on the video call. The mom was facing a misdemeanor charge for allegedly having an open alcohol container as a passenger in a car. She showed the judge a piece of paper that she claimed her court time started at 1pm. The judge and Outerbridge then began a back and forth disagreement, as Judge Perkins told her to stop making a sandwich. 'Put whatever you're tryna prepare down,' he said. 'I'm just tryna feed my daughter,' she said as she showed her daughter on camera to the court, showing the robe she was wearing. 'Is that a robe?' Judge Perkins asked, before she began defending that she was 'properly dressed' and said, 'I have on a t-shirt!' Asia Outerbridge was berated by 36th District Court Judge Sean Perkins after she showed up late to her Zoom court hearing wearing a robe and then making a PB&J sandwich on the video call Judge Perkins and Outerbridge argued back and forth about her showing up late and her attire before she was booted from the video call 'I'm sorry that your daughter is sick but again, you are in court,' he said. 'And we're going to treat it as such.' Outerbridge was removed from the call as she spoke over the judge defending her attire on the call. But she told CBS News that, while she 'definitely was wrong,' there was an explanation for the bizarre behavior. 'I got multiple court dates, so I called to get the Zoom number, and they had told me like, "Oh, you're supposed to be there right now." What I had said 1pm,' she told the outlet. 'I hung up with them, and hopped on at 9.22am exactly, and waited there from 9.22 to 11.30. That's when the robe thing happened, and he put me back in holding. So with being on hold for two hours, I'm not going to lie, I kind of forgot he was on the phone.' As she realized the session had started again, she sprinted to her phone while making the sandwich. 'I definitely was wrong. I could have came dressed better and more prepared, and I don't want the judge to think that I'm laughing at the situation - at him- because I'm not. I take that very seriously, I do genuinely, with a serious face, apologize to the judge,' she said. The single mother told CBS News that she is a personal stylist and said: 'I know how to present myself, but that day, you know, it's hard for moms out here.' She and her three-year-old daughter, Parker, had been home together while her daughter was sick - which Outerbridge said was the reason she was multitasking. But she later discovered the video of herself on the Zoom call after Metro Detroit News posted the clip to Instagram. 'It was just a lot going on,' she told Fox News. 'I was having a mommy day. I click on the video and I see the judge that I had, and I see my robe and some peanut butter, and I say, "Oh my god."' 'I do feel like I owe the judge an apology. I could have come better prepared, and I could have handled it a lot better,' she admitted.
