Outside of a couple of recent years, Amazon has traditionally kicked off its main sale event around the middle two weeks of July and 2025 is no exception. Here are the previous Amazon Prime Day dates: Prime Day 2015: July 15 Prime Day 2016: July 12 Prime Day 2017: July 11 to 12 Prime Day 2018: July 16 to 17 Prime Day 2019: July 15 to 16 Prime Day 2020: Oct. 13 to 14 Prime Day 2021: June 21 to 22 Prime Day 2022: July 12 to 13 Prime Early Access Sale 2022: Oct. 11 to 12 Prime Day 2023: July 11 to 12 Prime Big Deal Days 2023: Oct. 10 to 11 Prime Day 2024: July 16 to 17 Prime Big Deal Days 2024: Oct. 8 to 9 Big Spring Sale 2025: March 20 to 25 Prime Day 2025: July 8 to 11 Will tariffs affect this year's Prime Day deals? Tariffs are top of mind for most Americans and it could affect this year's Prime Day event. Prices on items like electronics could very well increase, with companies like Apple trying to avoid tariffs by moving manufacturing operations elsewhere. The tariffs are currently paused but only until July 9, right after Prime Day begins. What is Prime Day? Amazon began the annual Prime Day tradition in 2015. And ever since, bargain hunters have eagerly awaited its return every summer. The Prime Day sale event has historically taken place in July and this year is no exception. Amazon often has other sales throughout the year, including a second Prime Day-like sale in October and the Big Spring Sale in March. This year's Prime Day is here, and we've covered all the essentials already, including everything from signing up for Amazon Prime and returning Prime Day purchases to getting Prime Day deals free and using extra Prime perks. How we choose deals CNET has a team of shopping experts and deal hunters who have operated across major sales events for many years, making sure you understand when a deal is worth taking advantage of or when it's worth skipping. Whether it's for Black Friday, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July or Prime Day, we have the expertise to make sure you get the best deal possible. To do this, we look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining sale time when choosing an offer to show you. Real discounts mean real discounts. We look at the price history for that product to make sure no manufacturers are inflating prices to make the discount seem more substantial than it is. Quality reviews are equally important for any product, but particularly for deeply discounted items. If it breaks the first time you use it, the discount isn't really worthwhile. Remaining sale time is a huge part of our vetting process. If a deal seems like it will only be around for a short while or will only be available for the remaining stock, we'll let you know in advance, so you don't return later only to be disappointed. We are also considering the rising costs associated with tariffs to help you find items worth buying now. Hands-On With the Galaxy Z Fold 7: So Thin You Forget It's a Foldable

Perhaps the most extraordinary thing about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is how ordinary it feels in my hand. Well, at least when it's closed. Unfolded, it's a whole different story. I got to check out the Z Fold 7 during Samsung's Unpacked event in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday, along with the Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE. (Also happening this week is Amazon's Prime Day, which is unlikely to include these devices but includes sales on Samsung TVs and laptops.) Now Playing: Ultra Thin: First Look at the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 02:45 At 8.9mm thick when folded and weighing 215 grams, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 doesn't feel much different than a standard slate phone. The 6.5-inch cover display makes it something I can see myself willingly using to scroll through social media, text and watch videos. But when opened, Samsung's book-style foldable is anything but ordinary. At just 4.2mm thick, it boasts a wildly slim profile that steals the spotlight from even the 5.8mm-thick Galaxy S25 Edge. The 8-inch inner display is 11% larger than the one on last year's Z Fold 6, which should help with multitasking. And a Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 cover and Victus 2 back make it feel nice and sturdy. The Z Fold 7 feels exactly like what foldable phones have strived to be all along: thin, lightweight and spacious -- and also as "normal" as possible, at least where it matters. It also features an impressive 200-megapixel main camera, just like the not-so-thin S25 Ultra. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 weighs 215 grams, and has a more spacious display. Joseph Maldonado/CNET/PCMag In an exclusive interview, Drew Blackard, Samsung's senior vice president of mobile product management, told CNET that by slimming down the Fold and leveling up the cameras, the book-style phone "is now a mainstream form factor." After holding the phone, I can understand what he means. The Z Fold 7 does away with the thicker build and scaled-back cameras that previously characterized foldables, and introduces something that feels equal parts sleek and familiar. Samsung is by no means the first company to launch a thin foldable; Oppo's Find N5, Huawei's Mate X6 and Honor's Magic V3 also boast impressively slim designs, to name a few. But with the release of both the Galaxy S25 Edge and now the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is doubling down on the skinny phone craze. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts the same 200-megapixel wide camera as the S25 Ultra. Joseph Maldonado/CNET/PCMag An Ultra experience on an ultra-thin phone By bringing its 200-megapixel wide camera to the Z Fold 7 and S25 Edge, Samsung is proving you don't have to compromise camera quality for a slimmer build. It's a notable example of a foldable breaking away from the hardware limitations that have traditionally scaled back the cameras. It'll be interesting to see how competitors strive to match or outdo that feat. The Z Fold 7 also has a 12-megapixel ultrawide and 10-megapixel telephoto camera, as well as 10-megapixel selfie cameras on the inner and cover screens. I look forward to testing the phone's cameras out in the real world. Like the S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It comes out of the box with One UI 8 and Android 16. What I'm perhaps most relieved about is that the Z Fold 7's battery maintains last year's 4,400-mAh capacity, despite the new phone's slimmer build. The biggest downside of the S25 Edge is its 3,900-mAh battery, giving it the lowest capacity across the S25 series. I was fully prepared for the Z Fold 7 to take a similar hit, but its expanded real estate helped save it from that pitfall. Battery life is one of the biggest considerations when people buy a new phone, according to a CNET survey, so it's good Samsung didn't scale that back. We'll see how it actually holds up in my day-to-day use and if it's a match for my endless TikTok scrolling and photo taking. Joseph Maldonado/CNET/PCMag Not-so-slim price The Galaxy Z Fold 7's cutting-edge specs don't come cheap. The phone starts at $2,000, which is $100 more than last year's Z Fold 6. You're certainly paying a premium for both that slimmer build (the S25 Edge starts at $1,100) and the Ultra-grade camera (the S25 Ultra starts at $1,300). The Z Fold 7 is available in jet black, blue shadow and silver shadow, as well as an exclusive mint color when you order on Preorders start today, and the phones arrive July 25.

The Best Bluetooth Trackers for 2025

PCMag editors select and review products independently. If you buy through affiliate links, we may earn commissions, which help support our testing. Unless you're well organized, you've probably misplaced something in the past month. Maybe your couch cushions swallowed your remote. Perhaps a feisty pet swiped your keys off the counter and batted them under an end table. No matter what you're prone to losing, a Bluetooth tracker is a quick and inexpensive way to ensure you can find it again. Every Bluetooth tracker serves the same general purpose—to help you locate lost items—but the specifics vary widely. PCMag can help since we've been reviewing these devices since the first Tile arrived more than a decade ago. Our Editors' Choice is the Apple AirTag for its excellent precision, but those without an iPhone will need to look to alternatives. Check out all our picks for the best Bluetooth trackers below, and make sure to scroll to the end for some helpful buying advice and safety tips to prevent stalking. Smartphone compatibility tops the list of things to consider when choosing a Bluetooth tracker. Tile is the only company on our list that sells trackers that work with both Android and iOS devices. Apple's AirTag technically works with any device capable of running iOS or iPadOS 14.5 and later, but you need an iPhone 11 or later to use its Precision Finding feature. Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag 2 works only with Samsung Galaxy phones that run Android 9 or later, offer 3GB of RAM, and have the SmartThings Find app installed. Location accuracy is the next most important consideration. All the trackers on this list are relatively accurate, but those with ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity can give you turn-by-turn directions to your lost item. UWB is found in the Apple AirTag, the Samsung SmartTag 2, and the Motorola Moto Tag. All of Tile's trackers have proximity indicators, but they lack the UWB exactitude from Apple, Samsung, and Motorola. Maximum range is another relevant aspect. Some Bluetooth trackers claim they can connect with your smartphone from distances of up to 500 feet, but all the trackers we've tested have a real-world maximum range of fewer than 100 feet. If you're using a Bluetooth tracker on items that tend to stay in one area, like a TV remote that's probably somewhere in your living room, the maximum range doesn't matter much. The range is more important if you plan to use the tracker on items that leave your house, like your keys or bag. A robust locator network can help balance out some of Bluetooth's technical limitations. You can place all the trackers on this list in a Lost Mode that allows other people's phones to discreetly detect the tracker and direct you to your missing item. Tile has a large user network, but it depends on people downloading its app and properly updating several settings on their phones. Apple's massive Find My network, meanwhile, uses an app that's baked into iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS—meaning it's already available on hundreds of millions of devices. Take a moment to think about how you plan to use a Bluetooth tracker before you buy one. Some models work better for certain applications than others. The Samsung SmartTag 2, Tile Mate, and Tile Pro have holes that allow you to easily attach them to your key ring. The Tile Sticker has an adhesive mount, while the Tile Slim can easily slide into your wallet. Apple's AirTag and the Moto Tag are standalone products that require an accessory to affix or mount them. Several key rings on Apple's website work with AirTags and third-party accessories. Finally, if you're concerned about eco-waste, you have a few options: the Apple AirTag, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2, and the Tile Pro. Each of these has a battery that you can easily replace. In contrast, the Tile Mate, Tile Slim, and Tile Sticker all have non-replaceable batteries that will last about three years. Bluetooth trackers are great tools for finding lost objects, but some trackers are designed for locating people or pets. The Fi Smart Dog Collar Series 3, for example, is an LTE-enabled collar that sends updates of your pet's location several times a minute. It's best to think of these devices as backups to adult supervision, however, because the tracking subject can likely remove or wiggle out of them. Bluetooth trackers with small removable batteries also present a choking hazard. To be on the safe side, keep loose trackers out of the reach of toddlers and pets. Bluetooth trackers join apps, computers, smartphones, tablets, vehicles, and dozens of other technologies that malicious actors can use to stalk you. Moreover, they're affordable, readily available, and small enough to slide into a bag without you knowing. The good news is that both iOS and Android devices can automatically detect most unknown Bluetooth trackers. Samsung's anti-stalking feature, meanwhile, can alert you to unknown SmartTags specifically. Tile's app includes a Scan and Secure feature that lets you scan your surroundings for unassigned trackers.
