Shah to attend coop & employment fest in Jaipur today

Jaipur: Union home and cooperation minister along with chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will attend Cooperative and Employment Festival at Dadiya village, Jaipur district, Thursday. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The event is part of the celebrations for the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and promises major initiatives for rural empowerment and youth employment in the state. At the event, Shah will unveil multiple cooperative sector projects aimed at achieving the vision of "Prosperity through Cooperation". The initiatives are expected to boost the rural economy and empower farmers, women and marginalised communities. "One of the key highlights will be the distribution of over 8,000 appointment letters to youths under the state's ongoing employment drive, marking a significant step in the govt's push for job creation," said an official at the CMO. As part of the cooperative sector reforms, Shah will also distribute 2,346 micro-ATMs to dairy cooperative societies to improve rural financial transactions. In addition, 1,400 beneficiaries under the Gopal Credit Card scheme will receive loans of Rs 12 crore, supporting dairy farmers in expanding their operations. The event will also see the launch of White Revolution 2.0, with the introduction of the PDCSS online registration platform to streamline processes for milk cooperatives. Shah will inaugurate 24 newly constructed grain storage warehouses under the world's largest food storage scheme and 64 millets outlets to promote coarse grains, aligning with the govt's millet promotion initiative. In a gesture towards strengthening law enforcement infrastructure, Shah will flag off 100 new police vehicles for various police units, including armed forces and training squads, said an official. So far, the schedule doesn't include his meeting with the BJP state president Madan Rathore at the party headquarters.
