Maintenance on NKVE, Elite: Users urged to plan journey
KUALA LUMPUR: Users of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and the North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite) are advised to plan their journeys as maintenance works are being carried out. Plus Malaysia Bhd (Plus) in a statement today announced that maintenance works involving drainage systems and right lane closures in both directions on the NKVE will begin today until Oct 14. This involves the Damansara-Bukit Lanjan route at Km19.3 to Km20.0 as well as road diversions at locations activated to ensure the comfort and safety of highway users. Meanwhile, on the Elite, it will begin on July 21 to 25 from 11pm to 5am involving the Putrajaya-Bandar Saujana Putra route at Km19.5 to Km18.0 following the bridge beam launching works as well as the activation of contra lanes. "Highway users are advised to plan their journeys during the period. "They are also advised to obey all traffic signs and instructions issued by Plus personnel when passing through the affected areas. "Highway users can also get the latest traffic information via the Plus Application, Putri Virtual Assistant, X@plustrafik Application or Electronic Signage (VMS) at selected locations," the statement said. Slow traffic flow on major Klang Valley highways on June 8
KUALA LUMPUR: People returning to the capital after the Aidiladha holiday are experiencing slow traffic on several major highways heading to the Klang Valley as of 8pm Sunday (June 8). A spokesman for the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) said traffic flow from the north to the Klang Valley on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) was reported to be slow at several locations, including Alor Setar Selatan to Sungai Petani, Bandar Cassia to Taiping and Sungai Perak to Ipoh. Slow traffic was also reported from Gopeng to Sungkai and Behrang towards Rawang. "Traffic flow from the south on the PLUS highway was reported to be slow from Pagoh to Ayer Keroh and the Ayer Keroh Rest and Service Area to Nilai," he said when contacted Sunday. Traffic flow from the east to the Klang Valley on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) and East Coast Expressway (LPT) 1 is reported to be slow at Lanchang to Karak Toll Plaza, Karak to Bukit Tinggi and Genting Sempah to Gombak Toll Plaza. Smooth traffic flow on all major highways this morning
KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow is reported to be smooth on all major highways nationwide as of 9am on Sunday (June 8). A Malaysian Highway Authority spokesman said traffic is smooth flowing on the North-South Expressway (PLUS), the East Coast Highway (LPT) 1 and 2 as well as all toll roads around the Klang Valley. He added that this was because many have yet to return home after the Aidiladha celebration and school holidays. A total of 30 smart lanes have been activated along the PLUS Highway today to ensure smooth traffic flow. The public can obtain the latest traffic updates via PLUSLine at 1-800-88-0000 or the LLM hotline at 03- 8738 3098/03-8738 3097 as well as via the X account @plustrafik and @llmtrafik.
