Report: Chad Gable Injury Update
It looks like the injury keeping Chad Gable sidelined is more serious than some thought. Earlier this week, Cory Hays reported that Chad Gable is currently dealing with 'an undisclosed injury.' It was also noted that this is likely why Penta attacked Gable on Monday's episode of WWE RAW. On RAW, Gable was backstage with Ivy Nile when Penta approached. Gable concluded their 'lesson' and went to mock Penta, who just had a match with Bron Breakker. Gable teased finishing the job Breakker started, but Penta took exception to Gable repeatedly poking him in the chest. Penta superkicked Gable and screamed, 'I told you, Cero Miedo' before snapping Gable's left arm back. It was noted that Penta's attack allowed Gable to be written off of television, 'or reduce his workload temporarily while he recovers.' The exact nature of the injury was unknown, but it was significant enough to require WWE to change plans. Now, is reporting that Gable is set to have surgery for the undisclosed injury. Gable will have surgery in 'early July' to repair it. It's unclear when Gable will return to WWE TV. Fightful (via Fightful Select) also learned of a similar injury, as it appears El Grande Americano suffered a similar injury to Gable. However, it's a 'total coincidence' that two completely different people got the same injury in the same way. ? Chad Gable's last match in WWE (as Chad Gable) was a loss to AJ Styles on the June 9 episode of WWE RAW. 'El Grande Americano' had his last match on June 18, a Speed Championship match win over Berto. Check out everything that went down on this week's episode of WWE RAW here. Here's How R-Truth's WWE Return Came Together; Was His Release A Work?
R-Truth is back in WWE, but how did it happen? Truth was released by WWE last week, as he announced the news himself on June 1. His release was reportedly a financial move, but it was also a very unpopular decision. Fans and peers were vocal about being upset over the news, feeling like Truth was someone who WWE should have kept on. Advertisement It appears that WWE listened, as Truth made a shocking return at Money In The Bank on Saturday night. The main event match saw a masked man run in and attack John Cena. That man removed his mask, revealing Truth as the culprit to everyone in the arena. How did R-Truth's WWE return happen? initially reported that Truth's new deal came together within the past 72 hours. According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Nick Khan was the one who took over negotiations with Truth. It was noted that Truth was initially approached about a return, but he 'didn't seem to entertain the calls.' Things took a positive turn when Khan got involved. It's rare that Khan gets involved in negotiations, but this situation was 'important to the company and locker room.' According to one higher-up in WWE, R-Truth's return is seen as a positive sign that the company is actually listening to fan feedback. Truth's return was very well received by the roster. Advertisement In case you're wondering if this was a worked storyline, it was not. Truth's release was legitimate, and the company changed course and brought him back under a new deal. Fightful notes that when talent directly asked Truth and WWE executives if it was legit, they also said his release was not a work. Truth's own family has indicated that the new deal was put together late in the week. R-Truth is back with WWE, but it's still unclear how long the deal is.
