Pagani Unveils $7 Million, 852-HP Huayra Codalunga Speedster for the Ultra-Elite
Read the full story on Modern Car Collector Pagani Automobili has unveiled the Huayra Codalunga Speedster, a limited-run hypercar designed to blend vintage racing inspiration with cutting-edge engineering. With only 10 units to be built and pricing expected to exceed $7 million, the Codalunga Speedster is destined exclusively for the ultra-wealthy. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine developed in partnership with Mercedes-AMG, the open-top Codalunga produces 852 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque. That output is channeled through a choice of two transmissions, including a rare offering in today's hypercar landscape: a traditional three-pedal manual gearbox. Buyers may also opt for Pagani's seven-speed automated manual. At over 193 inches long, the Speedster features a stretched silhouette inspired by 1960s endurance race cars like the Porsche 908 LH and Ferrari 330 P4. The streamlined longtail bodywork is matched with a removable hardtop and a seamless glass panel that enhances aerodynamics and elegance. Perhaps its most striking detail is the six-pipe titanium exhaust system. Four pipes exit through the center, with two more routed from each rear corner—offering not only a unique visual but also optimized airflow and acoustic tuning. Inside, Pagani emphasizes handcrafted detail, combining milled aluminum, mahogany wood trim, and over 450,000 stitches of embroidered leather. A mahogany shift knob and exposed gear linkage further emphasize the analog craftsmanship absent from most modern hypercars. Company founder Horacio Pagani described the Speedster as a tribute to 'the art of driving,' emphasizing the brand's focus on emotional connection and timeless design over raw performance figures alone. Deliveries of the Huayra Codalunga Speedster will begin in 2026. With production limited to just 10 units, Pagani's latest creation may never be seen on public roads—but for a select few collectors, it promises an unparalleled driving experience rooted in both heritage and innovation. Police Say Las Vegas Couple Defrauded Investors of Over $57 Million in Exotic Car Sales Scheme
A Las Vegas couple has been accused of defrauding investors of more than $57 million in an elaborate exotic car scam. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the couple persuaded people to invest in extremely high-end exotic cars and boats that would be sold overseas for massive profits. However, an investigation found that these overseas buyers apparently didn't exist — and now the couple is facing 75 fraud-related charges. According to police, Jong Rhee, 45, and Neelufar Rhee, 34 ran their scam through their two businesses, Twisted Twins Motorsports, LLC and Lusso Auto Spa. And some of the cars involved are far more exotic than Porsche 911s or Chevrolet Corvettes: LVMPD posted a video of some of the recovered cars involved, with highlights including a Bugatti Divo and a Chiron, a Pagani Huayra, and a one-of-10 Apollo Intensa Emozione. Just these four cars alone are worth eight figures. However, the couple allegedly promised 10-figure returns. Las Vegas-based news outlet KLAS reports that the suspects told the victims that wealthy clients in Singapore were lined up to buy these high-end vehicles for approximately $2.5 billion. The couple claimed that they could sell a $526,000 Rolls Royce Spectre for $7.5 million, and that a $3.9 million boat would bring $13.5 million in Singapore — but the overseas buyers didn't exist, according to police. The Vegas couple is accused of taking the funds that were supposed to be used for these overseas transactions and instead used them for personal gain. Last summer, the Rhees reportedly spent $60,000 chartering a private plane to Missouri for a boating trip; that same boat was allegedly also one of the assets that was supposed to be sold overseas. KLAS reports that money woes could have been the motivation behind the scam. The couple's financial situation was reportedly bleak as of last year: Jong Rhee allegedly decided to use their last $10,000 to buy into a World Series of Poker event. When the gamble didn't pay off, the police claim that's when they turned to fraud. Jong Rhee and Neelufar Rhee each face 75 counts of fraud related charges such as racketeering, forgery, theft, and money laundering. Police believe that there may be additional victims of this scheme that have not been identified. They are asking for anyone that has done business with this couple to contact them by email at criminalintel@ You Might Also Like You Need a Torque Wrench in Your Toolbox Tested: Best Car Interior Cleaners The Man Who Signs Every Car

Ocean-Themed Pagani Huayra On Bring A Trailer Is What Happens When Tacky People Have Too Much Money
All too often, when wealth and cars collide, the results are disastrous. Just take a look at the modified vehicles that Mansory offers, for instance. Things can get worse when wealthy customers are able to customize a new car to their own liking. This decade-old Pagani Huayra currently listed for sale on Bring a Trailer is the perfect example of that. Admittedly, this 2014 Pagani Huayra is pretty special, but being special doesn't mean it looks good. A one-off called Oceano Pacifico, this Huayra's white and blue color scheme was apparently inspired by the colors of the Pacific Ocean. I don't see it. The color scheme is just giving high school football team vibes to me. Nonetheless, it's the only one in existence and the odometer shows just 2,000 miles on it. Keep in mind, though it has a high level of performance, the Huayra was never a looker. From the headlights to the interior, more than a few elements of the Huayra are awkwardly designed, and this spec makes it all worse. The top half of the car is finished in a blue called Blu Francia Metallic while the bottom half and other accents are finished in Bianco Fabriano, and there are lots of elements in exposed Blu Tricolore carbon fiber. It's just a lot going on, and it doesn't stop there. Anyone purchasing the car will get two sets of staggered 21- and 22-inch wheels. The set of factory Pagani wheels is finished in the same Blu Francia and Bianco Fabriano colors as the car, while a second set of aftermarket MV Forged wheels are finished in an orange-y gold. Behind the wheels are matching white-painted calipers. The interior is slightly better, but still over the top. There's Ocra yellow leather paired with Blu Ossido Alcantara covering the center part of the seats, door panels, center console and rear bulkhead. Lots of blue carbon fiber is found inside, as well. It's all topped off by a special 1-of-1 plaque on the dash with the Oceano Pacifico name, and Horacio Pagani's signature on the luggage door. Bidding for the car currently sits at $2,000,000 and will surely go higher. If it sells, that is. The gaudy-ness of this thing is probably why this is the second time in six months this particular Huayra has been listed for sale. In August 2024 it was listed on duPont Registry on behalf of Pagani of Beverly Hills, and it doesn't look as if it was sold. So if you have deep enough pockets — and no sense of taste — this might be the car for you. For the latest news, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
