"I appreciate the effort on...": Here's what Ed Sheeran really thinks of his wax statue
Ed Sheeran, the singer with the most-streamed song, has been a little busy making hit songs and touring the world. Well, the 34-year-old singer might have topped the charts, but did not forget to visit his statue, which, in his opinion, is 'creepy'.
Ed Sheeran and his wax statue
In an Instagram video, Ed shared his visit to the Panoptikum Museum in Hamburg, Germany. He recorded a reel with his own statue and was certainly not impressed. The caption of the post read, 'I appreciate the effort on this waxwork but it's creepy af let's be honest.'
The statue, which was unveiled in July 2023, had long white sleeves, a black t-shirt, and a pair of black jeans as an outfit, along with Ed's signature guitar that was held on the shoulder.
With Ed's quirky humour, he imitated the statue and posed along with it.
The almost-doppelganger had a pair of red sneakers and an insanely accurate hairstyle. Roasting the statue, Ed gave a couple of poses, where he stood nose-to-nose with it, stood in the same position as the wax statue, and hugged it from behind in the video. The 'Shape of You' singer posted the reel with his latest hit 'Sapphire.'
Along with a wax statue in Germany, Ed has another statue at Madame Tussauds London, which was unveiled on June 12, 2018.

Arijit Singh
Recently, Ed Sheeran collaborated with Arijit Singh, who is also among the most-streamed artists, for his single 'Sapphire.' The 'Perfect' singer revealed that he flew down to Kolkata along with his dad, who was touring with him. Vowing that the Punjabi version would be out in a couple of weeks, Ed stated that Singh is one of the most talented humans and will always cherish the experience he had with him in India.
