Annual Cherry 7s rugby tournament cut short in Cwmgors
The event, held at Cwmgors RFC on Saturday, June 28, drew a good crowd despite drizzly weather, with teams including Alltwen, Pantyffynnon, the Horn Stars, and Team Spikey.
After semi-final victories, the Horn Stars and Team Spikey were set for a showdown in the Cup final.

However, in the plate competition final, Pantyffynnon's match against Top of the Props was abandoned following the nasty leg injury. With only one minute left, Pantyffynnon were awarded the win as they were leading 5-0.
Due to the medical emergency, the rest of the tournament was called off, and the cup was shared between the Horn Stars and Team Spikey.
The day ended with musical entertainment at Cwmgors RFC by Brad Mead and the Stereo Hearts.
