The team finished with nine medals in all - four golds, four silvers and one bronze - seven medals clear of any other country. The win means Sugar has now added a European title to her Olympic and World Championship crowns. Edward Clifton added silver by finishing behind Portugal's Norberto Mourao in the men's VL2 200m event, while Stuart Wood finished runner-up in the VL3 200m. Charlotte Henshaw won two of Great Britain's six medals on Saturday, winning the KL2 and claiming silver in the VL3. Henshaw was beaten in the VL3 women's final by compatriot Hope Gordon, who won by half a length. Olympic silver medallist David Phillipson, 36, held off Italy's Christian Volpi to win the KL2 men's final in a time of 41.516 seconds. Jonny Young claimed silver in the men's KL3 final, while Taylor Gough earned a bronze in the VL1 final on his international debut.

Sugar adds Euro gold to world and Paralympic titles
Welsh Para-canoeist Laura Sugar has added the KL3 European title to her Olympic and World Championship 34-year-old achieved the feat for Great Britain at the ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships in Racice, beat French rival Nelia Barbossa by 1.747 seconds while Spain's Maria Jimenez won bronze and previous title-holder Araceli Menduina, also of Spain, was secured a hat-trick of world titles at the Para-canoe World Championships in Duisburg, Germany in following year, she added Paralympic gold in Paris, again defending her status.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh maintained its supremacy at the National Canoe Sprint and Para Canoe on the fourth day, securing 12 gold medals at the 35th National Junior and Sub Junior Canoe Sprint and 18th National Para Canoe at Lower Lake. The state's athletes continued their exceptional performance, garnering eight gold, three silver, and three bronze medals on Sunday. Kerala and Odisha each secured two gold medals, while MP retained the top position in the medal standings. In the 18th National Para Canoe, MP secured nine medals, including four gold, three silver, and two bronze. The 200m canoe event was organised at Chhota Talab in the capital on Sunday, under the supervision of Madhya Pradesh Kayaking and Canoeing Association and Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association. MP's Wangthoi and Yebhaba clinched gold in sub-junior boys K-2, whilst Ishan, Wangthoi, Devjeet, and Yebhaba secured gold in K-4.
