Jerry O'Connell and Wife Make Surprising Marriage Confession

Jerry O'Connell and Wife Make Surprising Marriage Confession originally appeared on Parade. Jerry O'Connell and his wife, Rebecca Romijn, shared surprising insight into their relationship when it comes to how they divide finances. While appearing on the Thursday, July 17, episode of Sirius XM's 'Andy Cohen Live," O'Connell, 51, and Romijn, 52, revealed that they keep their "money completely separate" after nearly two decades of marriage. However, she noted that they have a 'community pot' for family expenses. 'That's like one of the first conversations you have when you decide to enter into a legal agreement together,' Romijn added. The couple explained that they have agreed to contribute to their family account 'quarterly.' 'I have to say, we actually throttle how much money we put into that account sometimes,' O'Connell said. However, Romijn clarified that the amount of money depends 'on who's working more.' She continued, 'The one who's not working gets a little bit of a break and the one who is working puts in a little more. And we really tag-team with work.' In addition to revealing how they divide their finances, Romijn shared that they agreed that 'one of us would always stay home with our daughters' while the other works. 'So, no one else is ever going to raise them besides us,' she said of the decision. The couple, who tied the knot in 2007, share twin daughters Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, 16. O'Connell and Romijn have always been candid about their romance, and he previously revealed the moment he knew he was in love with her. I remember thinking, 'Wow. This girl is really beautiful and funny.' I talked to her the whole party. My wife remembers that party and remembers us clicking. We clicked. My wife and I clicked. We clicked the first time we met,' he said during a 2017 interview with Jess Cagle. Despite having an instant connection with Romijn, O'Connell insisted that nothing happened until she split from Stamos, 61, in 2004. 'Obviously, she was married, and I know shenanigans go on, but no shenanigans happened. But we clicked. Day one, we clicked,' he said. 'I want to tell you this about my wife, and my wife says it funnier than I do, but we met. We started hanging out. I came for a sleepover … and I never left. That's the truth. We just clicked.' Jessa Duggar, 32, Details 'Scary' Mindset After Pregnancy Loss

Jessa Duggar, 32, Details 'Scary' Mindset After Pregnancy Loss originally appeared on Parade. Jessa Duggar revealed why it can be "hard" to be "emotionally invested" in pregnancies after suffering from miscarriages. While appearing on the Wednesday, July 9, episode of Jinger Duggar's 'Jinger & Jeremy' podcast, Jessa, 32, Jinger, 31, and sister Joy-Anna Duggar discussed pregnancy, baby loss and grief. When Jinger asked about navigating fear and anxiety after a miscarriage, Jessa admitted that the experience can be "scary." 'I think it's hard to allow yourself, early on, to feel excited when you see that positive pregnancy test because you feel like you're bracing yourself. You're like, 'This may go how it went last time,'" she said. Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, share kids Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, Ivy, 6, Fern, 3, and George, 18 months. She has been open about suffering miscarriages in 2020 and 2022, while she is currently pregnant with her sixth baby. 'I've had friends who have had back-to-back losses and it is just devastation upon devastation,' the mother of five continued. 'I feel like my losses were separated. They weren't back to back, but I definitely felt that, until I was past the marker of where I lost my last baby, it was very hard for me to feel like, really emotionally invested, or to, like, get attached because I was, like, 'Any second, this could be gone,' and you're terrified. I mean, just, like, basically every time you go to the bathroom, you're like, 'Is there blood? Like, am I? Am I losing this baby?' And so that's, like, the hard side.' Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 While miscarriages are extremely difficult, Jessa has been able to find silver linings such as feeling "a lot more grateful" for the kids she already has. 'I took a lot less for granted,' she said. 'You know, when those pregnancy symptoms of, like, nausea or whatever, like, went past into the second trimester with one of my babies, I was like, 'This is going on really long.' But then I thought, 'But it stopped short with the other baby that I lost. And like, I wouldn't have it any other way.'" She continued, "I'm thankful even for, like, hard aspects of pregnancy because your baby's still there and you're still pregnant. I feel like it just caused me to be so much more grateful and to cherish life even more.' Joy-Anna Duggar, 27, Opens Up About 'Extremely Hard' Experience

Joy-Anna Duggar, 27, Opens Up About 'Extremely Hard' Experience originally appeared on Parade. Joy-Anna Duggar opened up about the "extremely hard" experience of having a stillbirth during a candid conversation with her sisters Jinger Duggar and Jessa Duggar. During the Wednesday, July 9, episode of the "Jinger & Jeremy" podcast, Joy-Anna, 27, got emotional as she recalled her 2019 miscarriage. "Looking back, I did have kind of a gut feeling of something may not be right," she admitted. "But also I'm like, 'I don't want to over exaggerate.' I don't want to read into things … I just remember feeling so numb leaving the ultrasound." The former Counting On star said that she went down a "really hard road" with her husband, Austin Forsyth, when she had to deliver their daughter Annabell early when she was just 20 weeks. "That was extremely hard, having to go through the whole delivery process," she said. "I'm so thankful that I had [my mom] there that had been through it before," Joy-Anna said of Michelle Duggar. "And I had a really good support team, but even with all of that, it was extremely difficult." Just days after Annabell's stillbirth, Joy-Anna and Forsyth, 31, held a funeral and a burial for their late daughter. However, she said that it took much longer to deal with the physical and emotional stress of Annabell's death. "You recover physically, you stop bleeding," she said. "You have to kind of move on, and [someone] told me, they're like, 'I went through a loss and it took me a long time. There's no set timeline.'" Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Joy-Anna went on to explain that she's discussed the experience with others. "When I've talked to other people, I've shared that with them," she told her sisters. "Like, 'Hey, it took me six months.' I felt like I was in a cloud for six months. I felt like I was in a fog. You know, it's postpartum, your body's going through kind of a shock. And then that timeline is going to be different for people." The TLC alum encouraged other parents in the same situation to give themselves grace as they process the loss of their children. "Don't put yourself on this, 'I have to bounce back,'" Joy-Anna said. "There's gonna be days where you can have joy, but the next day may be really hard, and you're hit with that grief again. There's no set timeline." In addition to Annabell, Joy-Anna and Forsyth parents to son Gideon, 7, Evelyn, 4, and Gunner, 2. Beloved 2000s Couple Shares Secret to Raising Teenage Kids

Beloved 2000s Couple Shares Secret to Raising Teenage Kids originally appeared on Parade. Beloved 2000s couple Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar have experienced the highs and lows of raising teenagers, and they found the secret to effective parenting. 'You get a little unbalanced because a lot of kids' friends are on vacation, or they go to camp at someplace else, or they're busy with camp locally, so you are more present,' Prinze, 49, told People about parenting in the summer in an interview published on Wednesday, July 9. 'They're not running away from you as much. Like, 'Dad, can you take me here? Can you take me there? Can I see this guy? Can I see that girl?' We try to keep our kids pretty active." Prinze added that it's "definitely more necessary" to be a present parent in the summer. "You might feel like a chauffeur, and that's a normal feeling for a parent to go through, but you're definitely more necessary in the summer," he continued. The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, share daughter Charlotte, 15, and son Rocky, 12. The She's All That star added that the secret to effective parenting is patience, which Gellar, 48, has mastered. Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 'The practicing of patience in the face of teenage power is a tough battle. It's like All Might versus whatever horrible villain he was facing in My Hero Academia, that level of difficulty,' he said, referencing the popular anime series. 'Patience, I think, is the ultimate power, and if you don't have it, it's a muscle you have to work out. So, definitely put the time in because it will help you win all the arguments.' While Gellar was "initially" better at being patient, Prinze said it was something he had to work towards. 'Patience was something I learned and got better at over time, like anything else," he explained. 'America's Next Top Model' Alum Slams Beloved Show as a 'Cult'

'America's Next Top Model' Alum Slams Beloved Show as a 'Cult' originally appeared on Parade. America's Next Top Model alum Sarah Hartshorne didn't hold back while discussing her experience on the show, and she went as far as to compare the competition series to a "cult." In her new book, You Wanna Be On Top? A Memoir of Makeovers, Manipulation and Not Becoming America's Not Top Model,Hartshorne recalled the strict rules that the contestants' had to follow. She alleged that the show began to 'feel like a cult, from the undisclosed filming locations in international waters to not being allowed to speak for days at a time.' Hartshorne continued, 'And the reality is … it was a cult. I got suckered into a cult.' Hartshorne then pondered what she would say to Tyra Banks now, and she insisted that she didn't hold a grudge against the show's creator, judge and host. "It was one of many who were traumatized by the actions of Tyra and the producers. But still, I am grateful,' she wrote in the book, according to Us Weekly. 'So, here's what I would say: Thank you. Pay me.' Hartshorne rose to fame when she competed on cycle 9 of ANTM in 2007. She was the only plus-sized model on the season, and ultimately ended the show in eighth place. Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Back in 2020, Banks, 51, looked back on some of her regrets regarding the show. "I was still a model at the time, not a retired model yet, and still operating in this world that had so many rules,' she said when asked about the criticism of the show during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. 'It was this awful push and pull that we all had.' After noting that there were 'different categories of things we messed up," Banks said she was "trying to push boundaries but was also torn to try to make sure that these girls could work, so it was a balance." 'It was like, 'Oh, break beauty barriers,' but yeah, I can break them all I want on the show, but they'll graduate from the show, and they won't work," she added.
