Rihanna's adorable family premiere: Rza and Riot steal hearts on Smurfs red carpet

Rihanna had two special little guests at the premiere of her latest movie. The 37-year-old's sons, Rza (2) and Riot (23 months), made their red carpet debut at Sunday's Smurfs Los Angeles premiere at the Paramount Theatre. Rihanna, who is expecting her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky, wore a satin chocolate brown ball gown paired with a leather jacket designed by Anthony Vaccarello from Saint Laurent's spring/summer 2025 collection. The boys were dressed in formal wear, with Riot sporting a look from Jonathan Anderson's debut collection for Dior Men. While walking the red carpet, the boys shared a cute moment with Papa to Access Hollywood, the Love on the Brain singer said she could not wait to attend the premiere with her kids and finally see the movie. 'It's a lot of pressure now; everybody gets to see it,' said Rihanna. About playing Smurfette, Rihanna said she connects to the character in many ways. She identifies with her leadership, refusal to quit, and determination. In the new film, now showing in cinemas, Rihanna stars as Smurfette alongside Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, J. P. Karliak, Dan Levy, Amy Sedaris, and Nick Kroll. The singer is also a producer on the film and has written some original songs for it, too. In the new film, Smurfette leads the Smurfs into the real world to rescue Papa Smurf, who has been captured by the evil wizards Razamel and Gargamel. WATCH THE TRAILER HERE:

I want it to feel magical and like a Broadway show.' 'We're really going to be close and personal,' the former Lucy Pearl member added in an interview with USA Today. Prior to the upcoming 22-show run, the three-time Grammy winner — who recently contributed to Beyoncé's critically and commercially-acclaimed 'Cowboy Carter' (he produced 'Texas Hold 'Em' as well as '16 Carriages') and the box office smash 'Sinners' — headlined a trio of shows this summer including one at NYC's Apollo Theater. Raphael Saadiq new music Although we're not entirely sure what Saadiq will take to the stage at this multifaceted, no phones stage show, we recommend checking out his most recent effort, the four-song 'Blue Room.' Featuring collaborations with Common, Ledisi, Steve Spacek (who takes credit for the album) and Q-Tip, the blissed-out mini-album is a peaceful 14-minute experiment that shows off the gifted group's skills for innovative arrangement, powerful vocals and how they intersect. We recommend starting with the groovy 'Something Tells Me,' an inside-out, kaleidoscopic soundscape before diving into the scratchy jam 'Hey' and chill medley-like 'They Don't Know You.' To hear for yourself, you can find 'Blue Room' here. About the record, Spacek shared this statement via Bandcamp: Blue Room is a labour of love spanning a little over two decades. They were more or less unfinished songs from a few recording sessions at Raphael Saadiq's Blakeslee studios in LA. With amazing talent the likes of Common and QTip- to name but a few- passing through Raphael's studio on a daily basis, I ended up with a bunch of unfinished gems. Not sure what happened to the sessions but I had these 2-track songs that whenever I played them, peeps would always be asking when and where they could get them. I was constantly getting requests for me to release them. I most likely would have already, if it wasn't for the fact that- to my ear at least- they were clearly unfinished and wouldn't do justice to the featured talent- much less the music as a whole. Fast forward to present and thanks to new technologies like stem separation, I was able to finish up and polish off the four songs featured on Blue Room. I am finally and truly happy with the finished project. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! Also, of note, Saadiq recently served as the composer on the Pedro Pascal film 'Freaky Tales.' Some tracks are atmospheric and ambient while others harken back to Saadiq's late-'80s 'Tony! Toni! Toné!' output. You can find the score here. On top of that, the tireless Saadiq contributed to 'Cowboy Carter' and 'Sinners' as noted above. D'Wayne Wiggins news On March 7, 2025, D'Wayne Wiggins passed away. Wiggins, 64, was in Tony! Toni! Toné! with Saadiq and was also his older brother (Saadiq's real name is Charles Ray Wiggins). Most recently, they performed together in 2023 on the 'Just Me and You Tour.' Two days before he passed, Wiggins shared he was experiencing medical complications on Instagram. It was later revealed the talented artist died from bladder cancer at his home in Oakland, CA. R&B icons on tour in 2025 It's a good time to be an R&B fan. Over the next few months, many of Saadiq's contemporaries from yesterday and today are also taking their hits to venues all over the U.S. and Canada. Here are just five of our favorites you won't want to miss live. • Erykah Badu • John Legend • Brandy with Monica • Earth Wind and Fire • Chris Brown Who else is pounding the pavement? Column: ‘Kids get to be the heroes' in Paramount School of the Arts musical in Aurora

After seven years in the role with the Paramount Theatre as its young performer supervisor, Bailey O'Neil certainly could be described as the 'kid whisperer' of the downtown Aurora venue. She was, after all, in charge of all those youngsters in 'The Sound of Music' and 'School of Rock,' as well as in 'Frozen' and the Bold Series production, 'Fun Home.' In addition to teaching at Paramount School of the Arts, which attracts students from beyond the Fox Valley, O'Neil also directed its previous camp performances 'Matilda Jr.' and 'Mean Girls Jr.' And next week, under her leadership, more than 50 kids will again take to the summer stage in 'The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical,' where they will, as the press release put it, 'play gods, battle monsters and save the world' in this action-packed fantasy based on Greek mythology. Props to this talented young Aurora native, who is working with more than twice as many performers as the typical number in a professional Paramount musical. But O'Neil relishes this role because she gets to see the beginning stages of so many, well, 'stage journeys' – including those who love theater but start off shy and unsure, then gradually 'begin to warm up every day and come out of their shell.' As someone who truly enjoys working with kids, that's got to be a big payoff, as is watching the students in their third year of camp take on leadership roles, she noted. Still, it's a lot of young people who are on a quick turnaround for these shows that are put on by the school. So yes, O'Neil also notices 'jaws drop,' and even witnesses 'a little panic in their eyes' when she tells them they only have a week to memorize the scripts. 'They have so much less time to prepare,' O'Neil pointed out, adding that the 30 hours of rehearsal also include a scavenger hunt at the beginning of the process, which she considers an important way for the young performers to bond. 'But the sooner the script is out of their hands,' O'Neil insisted, 'the better the work becomes.' And the kids, she told me, 'really lock in. … They get so focused' and are 'down for anything' because they 'love theater and are invested in it.' Adding to the excitement: these youngsters are supported by the Paramount's professional design and technical staff, and will perform in full custom on its historic stage. 'The Lightning Thief,' which centers around 12-year-old demigod Percy Jackson and the demigods of Camp Half-Blood, has been especially fun for the young performers – and seven technical theater students – O'Neil told me, because it is full of action and surprises, including fight choreography, puppetry and plenty of sound effects. 'They are so talented … their dancing is off the charts,' O'Neil said. 'When you put them on the stage and in costume and give them a mic, there is always a big shift as they become their character. 'Sometimes it happens overnight when those neurons connect and it all falls into place.' The stars also seem to be aligning for this talented young Aurora native who grew up in theater camps, and when old enough became a camp counselor. So it's what O'Neil described as a 'natural progression' she will be taking on an important new role later this year as an assistant director for Stephen Schellhardt in the Paramount's iconic holiday spectacle 'White Christmas.' No surprise, she's 'thrilled' to be working on this beloved and nostalgic blockbuster musical. But for now, O'Neil just wants to showcase the talents of 50-plus hard-working kids who are on an epic adventure of their own. Performances for 'The Lightning Thief' are at 7:30 p.m. June 27 and at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 28. To purchase the $15 tickets for the show go to call 630-896-6666 or stop by the Paramount box office. 'I love shows where kids get to be the heroes,' said O'Neil. 'It's just so fun to see where they are on the first day (of camp) and where they end.'

SEATTLE - David Byrne announced his world tour will visit Seattle this fall, along with his new album, Who is the Sky? Keep reading to learn more about the show, ticket information and more about David Byrne. David Byrne will take the stage for two nights at Seattle's Paramount Theatre on November 11 and 12, 2025. It will mark his first time performing in Seattle since 2018. His world tour kicks off in September in the U.S. and goes international starting in January 2026. The band will feature 13 musicians, singers and dancers, with many members returning from the American Utopia band. Tickets will be available to purchase on Friday, June 13, and can be found on David Byrne's website. Eager fans can also sign up for Byrne's presale now through June 12 at 10 p.m. PT. The new album, set to release on Sept. 5, was produced by the Grammy-winning Kid Harpoon, who has worked with other modern hit performers like Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus. It features 12 songs that were arranged by Ghost Train Orchestra, a New York-based chamber ensemble. Byrne noted that the album will have "more story songs than usual." In addition, Byrne released his new single "Everybody Laughs," on June 10, which will make an appearance on the new album. The song was accompanied with a music video directed by Gabriel Barcia-Colombo. What they're saying "It took me a second to realize, oh yeah, these songs are personal, but with David's unique perspective on life in general," said Kid Harpoon (also known as Tom Hull). "Walking around New York listening to the demo of 'Everybody Laughs' was so joyous, because it made me feel like we're all the same – we all laugh, cry and sing. The thing about David that resonates with a lot of people is that he's in on the joke. He gets the absurdity of it all, and all of these personal observations are his perspective on it." David Byrne is an American musician and songwriter known for being the lead singer of Talking Heads. Some of the group's biggest hits are "Psycho Killer" and "Once in a Lifetime". When the new wave band went on hiatus, Byrne transitioned to a solo career in 1989. In total, the singer has released ten solo albums, with Who Is the Sky? set to be his 11th release. The 73-year-old has been making music for more than 50 years. The Source Information in this story comes from David Byrne's website. 'King of the Hill' Star Jonathan Joss Was Escorted Out of ATX TV Festival Panel 2 Days Before His Death

Jonathan Joss was escorted out of a panel for King of the Hill at the ATX TV Festival on May 30, just two days before he died on June 1 A day before his death, Joss shared a video of him signing autographs at a comic and games store in Austin, Texas Joss, who was 59, was allegedly shot and killed during a dispute with his former neighbor at his San Antonio, Texas home, which had recently burned downThe puzzle pieces of Jonathan Joss' final days are coming together. Just two days before the King of the Hill actor was shot and killed at the age of 59 on Sunday, June 1, in San Antonio, Texas, he was escorted out of a panel for the iconic animated series at the Paramount Theatre as part of the ATX TV Festival on Friday, May 30, in Austin, Texas. While the panel was in full swing, Joss stood up and approached the microphone set up for the Q&A portion of the event, which had not begun yet, an eyewitness in the audience tells PEOPLE. The onlooker says security guards came out at this time. The eyewitness says audience members "laughed nervously in the crowd" and that King of the Hill co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels didn't seem alarmed while others appeared "a bit worried or uncomfortable." "It seemed he did get a little emotional while he spoke, but mostly he was calm and he just needed to say his piece," the onlooker adds of Joss. "I'm an actor," Joss said in a fan-captured video of the moment. "I see a mic, I use it. I see a wrong, I make it right. I take a breath, I want to breathe." Joss later revealed to the attendees that his house had burned down three months prior, seemingly indicating it was a hate crime as he said it was "because I'm gay." He was then seen walking toward the stage and across the front row. At one point in the video, Judge told the audience Joss played John Redcorn on King of the Hill and was returning for the revival. "As Joss moved away from the mic to go back to his seat, that's when security told him he had to leave and he exited the theater calmly and cooperatively," the onlooker says, adding that the panel got "back on track" after this. PEOPLE has reached out to a spokesperson for the ATX TV Festival for comment. In a Facebook post from April 21, Joss shared a statement about not being asked to participate in the King of the Hill panel at ATX TV Festival "not entirely out of anger, but also out of the deep ache in my heart." "This show was a part of my life for many years. That character, that voice, that story…they were my home, my pride, my connection to something bigger than myself," he continued. "To not be invited felt like being shut out of a place I helped build." Joss followed that Facebook post with another on April 29 in which he said he'd heard from Disney — the parent company of Hulu, where the revival is airing — that the panel would "be focusing on series regulars." "I truly appreciate them taking the time to reach out to me personally," he added. "It means a lot." Despite his disappointment, Joss shared a video to Instagram one day after the TV festival showing him celebrating that the King of the Hill "reboot is up and running" while preparing to sign autographs at an Austin-based comic and game store. Hours after news broke that Joss was killed during a dispute with his former neighbor, his husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales shared a statement that offered his first-hand account of the incident. Gonzales, who married Joss on Valentine's Day, said he was present when Joss was shot and claimed the issue was rooted in homophobia. He revealed that Joss pushed him out of the way when the neighbor fired the gun, writing, "He saved my life." "He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other," Gonzales alleged. "I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved. To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family. My focus now is on protecting Jonathan's legacy and honoring the life we built together." Despite Gonzales' claims, the San Antonio Police Department issued a statement on X on June 2, saying they were investigating the incident but have "found no evidence to indicate that Mr. Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation." Police previously told PEOPLE authorities were dispatched to a shooting in progress at Joss' address around 7 p.m. local time in June 1, where they found the actor lying "near the roadway." After attempting "life saving measures," paramedics pronounced Joss dead at the scene. The suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Cejam, was quickly found and detained by officers after fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Cejam has been booked on a charge of murder and the investigation is still ongoing. Read the original article on People
