Syahi art and literary fest concludes on a high note
Hyderabad: The Syahi Art and Literary Fest concluded on a high note with vibrant performances including music, dance, painting, and various art forms by students. The grand 'Parichay' event was held on Saturday at Meridian School in Madhapur as part of the fest. School Principal Karanam Bhavani stated that more than 4,500 students from around 55 schools across the city participated in the fest, showcasing their creativity and artistic talents. On this occasion, students enthusiastically took part in traditional dances, storytelling, painting, graffiti, street plays (nukkad shows), and Malgudi shows, demonstrating their skills. Founder of Meridian Educational Institutions, Butta Renuka, said that this fest is organized every year under the name 'Syahi' to bring out and encourage the creativity within students. The event was also attended by CEO Tejaswi Butta, Amogh, President of the Institutions Lalitha Naidu, and others.

Jeetendra talks about being a builder after selling land at whopping Rs 855 crore, says people in movies are emotional but that's not the case in real estate: 'Log chaalaak hai'
Veteran actor Jeetendra , now 83, has found major success in the world of real estate and construction in recent years. In a recent interview, he opened up about his approach to the business and how it's quite different from the typical practices in the industry. The actor known for a variety of movies like 'Parichay', 'Khudgarz', 'Caravan' and many more has ventured into real estate business and is doing quite well. Speaking with the YouTube channel Visionary Studioz, Jeetendra said, 'I am not like a typical builder.' He explained that while most builders sell properties before they're even constructed, he chose a different path. 'Typical builders sell the property before it is made, but I don't like that. So I decided that I will construct the building first, and then I will sell it. I might appear foolish as a normal businessman. ' Having spent five decades in the film industry, Jeetendra shared that he finds a stark difference in the way people operate in both fields. 'I have spent 50 years in the film business and in my time, I don't think I have seen people as nice as them… such nice, kind-hearted people. Jeetendra also spoke about the values that bring success in the construction business. 'In the movies, people work with emotions but that doesn't work in real estate. All the successful builders who exist today, they have all done good work and people have appreciated them. And those who are riffraff, those who just run away after completing the construction, make false promises, most of them are behind bars. You are only appreciated for your good work. ' The 'Himmatwala' actor has spoken up about being a builder, just after he made headlines last month as he sold a land parcel in Mumbai's Andheri area for a whopping Rs 855 crore. Reports said the deal involved two adjoining plots totaling about 2.39 acres, with three buildings and around 4.9 lakh sq ft of built-up space.

Set of Rabindranath Tagore's letters fetched a whopping Rs 5.9 crore
Rabindranath Tagore's handwritten letters to Dhurjati Prasad Mukherji were auctioned. The letters fetched Rs 5.9 crore. It is the second-highest price for Tagore's work at auction. AstaGuru Auction House conducted the sale. A sculpture by Tagore, "The Heart", was also sold. The letters chronicle Tagore's creative and intellectual life. They were written between 1927 and 1936. Many of these letters are preserved through a string of publications in journals like Parichay and books like Chhanda, Sahityer Pathe, Sur O Sangati and Sangit letters are written on different letterheads — from Visva-Bharati, his Uttarayan residence, Glen Eden in Darjeeling, and aboard his houseboat, Padma — tracing Tagore's intellectual and geographic journey, Astaguru said in the catalogue.

Actor Aarti Singh renews wedding vows, husband Dipak Chauhan touches her feet
Actor Arti Singh and her businessman husband Dipak Chauhan marked their first wedding anniversary with a spiritual celebration.
