Jake Paul drops $39 million on Georgia's iconic Southlands ranch

Professional boxer, social media influencer and content creator Jake Paul has bought the sprawling Southlands property just south of Bainbridge, Georgia, for $39 million. Paul, during an interview on the "The Iced Coffee Hour" podcast in mid-June, said he's been wanting to purchase a ranch for the last 15 years, according to 'It's kind of been my dream and why I work so hard," said Paul. He added the 5,746-acre estate was '… a little bit bigger than what I wanted, but when I got there, I was like, 'I have to buy this.' ' Paul, 28, is known for his brash commentary on YouTube and other social media platforms and co-stars alongside his brother, Logan Paul, in "Paul American," a reality show that premiered in March 2025 and offers a peek into their family life outside of the boxing and wrestling ring. Logan Paul is a pro wrestler and social media maven. More celebrity real estate: NBA star Kevin Durant's custom Oklahoma City townhome hits the market at $35 In November 2024, Paul went head-to-head against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, 58, and defeated the veteran fighter in a unanimous decision. He was initially slated to receive $40 million for beating the retired boxer. The 5,653-acre property surrounds the eastern shore of Lake Seminole, just above the Florida panhandle, and was listed in October 2024 for $42.5 million. It features a "sport huntsman's paradise with an abundance of bobwhite wild quail, turkey and whitetail deer. It also includes a 20-acre fishing pond and a 30-acre duck pond," as previously reported in the Tallahassee Democrat, part of the USA TODAY Network. Jon Kohler, an expert in large plantation properties in the southeast, said there are few investments that can build "long-term wealth like owning a property such as Southlands." "While we can see the financial appreciation, what only the seller can measure is the immense intrinsic value – the lifestyle, the experiences, the memories. That's the most important kind of wealth. And that's what Southlands will create for Jake, his family, and his friends," said Kohler, in a statement. In a Facebook post announcing the purchase, Kohler described the property as "one of America's most iconic sporting properties." "From its roots with Herbert Stoddard, a legacy dating back to 1937, to its years as International Paper's flagship property, Southlands has long been a crown jewel of American land stewardship – and with Jake Paul's passion and commitment to conservation, its future has never been brighter," the post said. Jake Paul discovers rich-list ranking after huge Mike Tyson purse

The 'Problem Child' continues to expand his various successful social media platforms - but it is not enough to earn him top spot in Forbes' top content creators list YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been ranked among the top content creators according to a newly released list by Forbes. This year, Forbes' list of the richest creators across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube earned an estimated $853 million (£629.4m) - an 18 per cent jump from 2024's record year. Unsurprisingly, given his successful year, Paul features fairly highly on the coveted list - but has missed out on top spot by quite a margin. ‌ The 'Problem Child' sits third on the list with earning of $50m (£36.8m) - along with 2.33 per cent average engagement. Paul's clash with Mike Tyson marked Netflix 's first move into the world of boxing - and it is fair to say that it paid off. Immediately after the contest, Netflix dropped the figures for the event - with 60million households tuning in. The event hit a peak of 65million live streams. ‌ Reports suggest that Paul made around $40m (£29.5m) for the clash with Tyson. The 28-year-old social media sensation would go on the beat the former heavyweight champion on points. Over the last year, the young American has also pocketed lucrative paydays for facing Mike Perry and Ryan Bourland. His presence online only got bigger when he teamed up with his brother for a more in depth look into their lives on HBO's new reality series, Paul American. Earlier this year, Sports media publication Sportico released its "100 Highest-Paid Athletes in the World" list. The estimated figures that were shared included fighter purses and endorsement deals for the calendar year of 2024. Income from investments was not included. Paul was placed 52nd on the list - after reportedly earning $48m (£35.4m) with $38m (£28m) coming from his winnings, while the extra $10m (£7.3m) came from endorsements. Despite his remarkable achievements, Paul's accomplishments were still not enough to earn him top spot. That belongs to YouTube phenom Mr. Beast - who pocketed $85m (£62.7m) in earnings. Mr. Beast - real name James Stephen Donaldson - continues to expand his empire beyond digital platforms with candy brand Feastables, fast food chain MrBeast Burger, and now streaming: his hit show, Beast Games, has been renewed for two seasons on Amazon Prime. Dhar Mann - who is the producer of wholesome YouTube shows - has established full-fledged Hollywood studio and a team of hundreds to create modern back-to-school specials that have garnered billions of views. With his channel continuing to grow, the social media sensation sits in at number two on the list with - earning $56m (£41.3m). Paul's older brother Logan fails to make the top ten after being placed in at number 15. Apart from his multiple business ventures, including the buzzy Prime Hydration, Paul inked a reality show with HBO where he and his brother Jake delve deep into their lives. The American reportedly earned $10m (£7.3m) from his various successes. Ryan Detert, the founder and CEO of creator marketing firm Influential, who partnered with Forbes on the coveted list said: 'Next year, it's expected that influencer marketing will expand to $50 billion. The dollars are going into the hands of creators who are now the new media channels.'
