Halifax Regional Police says the item was found on Pauline Crescent in the Ellenvale area. The street has been evacuated and is closed to vehicles and pedestrians. Victim taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after incident in Halifax

Halifax Regional Police respond to an incident on Gottingen Street on July 10, 2025. Halifax Regional Police said they were in the 2000 block of Gottingen Street responding to a weapon complaint around 11:30 p.m. An adult victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. People were asked to avoid the area while police investigated. Gottingen Street reopened just before 4 a.m. There is no word on the nature of the incident or if police are looking for any suspects.
