ELFA to host CAF D-License Coaching Course to empower local coaches

SEDIBENG.- The Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) in conjunction with SAFA Sedibeng will host a CAF D-License Coaching Course. This coaching course is scheduled to take place at Rand Water in Vereeniging from August 25 to September 2. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the ELFA Technical Officer, Paul Motsepe. Motsepe said the closing date for coaches to apply for this coaching course is August 20. Motsepe said he expects a huge number of local and outside coaches to attend this course. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that this coaching course is part of an ongoing process to empower and educate local development coaches. He said there is a serious need to educate development coaches to secure a better future for South African football. 'We urge local coaches, especially those who work with development, to come in numbers to attend this coaching course. It is important for local coaches to attend this course because it will benefit not only them but the development of football in this region. As the Emfuleni Local Football Association our duty is to empower our coaches. This is not the first coaching course we will be hosting. We have hosted several coaching courses in the past,' concluded Motsepe. At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!

Boitshepiville junior teams take part in pre-season tournament

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Boitshepiville junior teams were involved in the pre-season mini tournament. This was in preparation for the upcoming Emfuleni Local Football Association Development League at the end of this month. These pre-season games took place at Cecil Oldrige Park on Saturday. Various Boitshepiville teams formed part of this pre-season tournament. It was a great day of football development, with these youngsters showcasing their talent. The day's programme started with the U9 teams. It was a day well spent with parents who came in numbers to support their children. Some of the teams that formed part of this pre-season programme include Sharpeville Rhinos FC. Two Touch FC, LM Sports Academy, among others. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Paul Motsepe, who is also ELFA Head of Technical, said this kind of programme must be sustained. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that in the past, such programmes were the key for football development in Sedibeng. 'In the past, we had exciting football programmes in this region. We must go back to how we used to do things in the past. We had a solid foundation, that is why we had so many players coming from this region,' said Motsepe.
