NYT ‘Connections' Hints And Answers For Saturday, July 6th

Hints, clues and answers for today's Connections are here. Credit: NYT Looking for Saturday's NYT Connections hints, clues and answers instead? You can find them here: Forbes NYT 'Connections' Hints For Saturday, July 5: Answers And Clues For Today's Game By Paul Tassi July is here and we're all still enjoying a lovely 4th Of July weekend. We hosted a really lovely barbecue with friends that was just delightful. It ended up being an ad hoc multi-course meal, with various appetizers and grilled items coming out at various points. Nobody left hungry, that's for sure. I think my favorite was a green chili hashbrown casserole that one friend brought. The hand-stuffed bratwursts were pretty dang good also. In any case, the memory of food and fun lingers still, but now we have a Connections to solve. Let's group some words, shall we? Connections is the second-most popular NYT Games puzzle game outside of the main crossword itself, and an extremely fun, free offering that will get your brain moving every day. Play it right here. The goal is to take a group of 16 words and find links between four pairs of four of them. They could be specific categories of terms, or they could be little world puzzles where words may come before or after them you need to figure out. And they get more complicated from there. There is only one set of right answers for this, and you only get a certain number of tries so you can't just spam around until you find something. There are difficulty tiers coded by color, which will usually go from yellow, blue/green to purple as difficulty increases, so know that going in and when you start linking them together. You pick the four words you think are linked and either you will get a solve and a lit up row that shows you how you were connected. If you're close, it will tell you that you're one away. Again, four mistakes you lose, but if you want to know the answers without failing, either come here, or delete your web cookies and try again. If you want to play more puzzles, you can get an NYT Games subscription to access the full archives of all past puzzles. These are the hints that are laid out on the puzzle board itself, but after that, we will get into spoiler territory with some hints and eventually the answers. PRUSSIAN WARE DRE GRAIN DISNEY CHINA CRYPTO EVIL PEPPER SHRED CERAMICS DECAF POTTERY MORSEL SEUSS CRUMB Hints for the Connections groups today are: 🟡Yellow group – Jars of clay. Jars of clay. 🔵Blue group – Not surgeons, but close. Not surgeons, but close. 🟢Green group – Itty bitty. Itty bitty. 🟣Purple group – Toe, calf, knee, shin. What Are Today's Connections Groups? Alright, the full spoilers follow here as we get into what the groups are today: 🟡Yellow group – Fired Objects Fired Objects 🔵Blue group– Drs Drs 🟢Green group – Particle Particle 🟣Purple group – Ending with homophones of parts of the leg What Are Today's Connections Answers? The full-on answers are below for each group, finally inserting the four words in each category. Spoilers follow if you do not want to get this far. The Connections answers are: 🟡Yellow group – Ceramics, China, Pottery, Ware Ceramics, China, Pottery, Ware 🔵Blue group – Dre, Evil, Pepper, Seuss Dre, Evil, Pepper, Seuss 🟢Green group – Crumb, Grain, Morsel, Shred Crumb, Grain, Morsel, Shred 🟣Purple group – Crypto, Decaf, Disney, Prussian Today's Connections Screenshot: Erik Kain I banged this one out pretty fast. I wasn't 100% sure about the yellow group, but it all sounded like various types of pottery to me, though WARE I wasn't sure of entirely. I was a lot more confident about the doctors: Dr. Dre the rapper, Dr. Evil of Austin Powers fame, Dr. Pepper the soda, and Dr. Seuss the children's author. This made the green group pretty apparent. While I wouldn't qualify these as 'PARTICLES' by any means, especially MORSEL and SHRED, they are all smaller pieces of a larger whole. That left the purple group, and I wasn't really sure about this one until I got the theme. CRYPTO = Toe, DECAF = Calf, DISNEY = Knee, and PRUSSIAN = Shin. How did you do on today's Connections? Today's NYT Mini Crossword Answers For Friday, July 4

Mini Crossword NYT In case you missed Thursday's NYT Mini, you can find the answers here: Forbes Today's NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Thursday, July 3 By Paul Tassi Happy Fourth of July! You may have guessed that today's puzzle is a bit USA-centric, and that should help you along to start with here. But first… The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer. To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers (spoilers lie ahead, of course): NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers ACROSS 1) Uncle ___ - SAM 4) It's full of stars - SPACE 6) It's full of stripes - ZEBRA 7) Month when the American Revolutionary War began - APRIL 8) 4th of July sales promotions, e.g. - ADS DOWN 1) Big brand of hummus - SABRA 2) Foul-smelling - ACRID 3) Breakfast, lunch and dinner - MEALS 4) Singer who performed "All the Stars" at Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show - SZA 5) Lively energy - PEP Mini NYT Interesting way to do it, as all the across clues are holiday/America-based while the ones in the other direction are not. I suppose it would have been a bit too much work to do an entirely themed puzzle for the whole board. Some are easy like Uncle SAM, but you may not know the Revolutionary War started in APRIL. It wasn't July. That would have been short. Then, you need to know one America-adjacent clue about the Super Bowl halftime show and the wonderful SZA. I hope you have a great holiday! Follow me on Twitter , YouTube , and Instagram . Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy .

Today's NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Saturday, June 7th

Looking for help with today's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle? Here are some hints and answers for the ... More puzzle. In case you missed Friday's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here: Paul Tassi and I traded weeks for the NYT Mini Crossword guides while I was away in Scotland, so I'm taking over for him this week. That means you're stuck with me for two weeks straight. Lucky you! It's Saturday, which means we have our biggest and most daunting Mini of the week to solve. Let's get right to it, shall we? The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it's free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you'll need the app to tackle the archive. Spoilers ahead! Across Down Here are all the words on the grid: FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder Today's Mini Crossword As you can see, this one took me awhile. 3:28 to be exact. I really struggled with a lot of these, only filling them in after I'd knocked out easier ones like 8-Across (ARE) and 12-Across (STOOL). 1-Across was also pretty straightforward (MAT) but others less so. I was thinking CHECK for what you'd request at the end of a restaurant meal, but TOGOBOX makes sense. 'Royal' sleeping options was less of a clue and more of a headfake. It didn't occur to me for the longest time that the puzzle meant KING and QUEEN beds, though it's obvious in retrospect. Clearly, I'm a little rusty. How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. NYT ‘Strands' Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Saturday, June 7th

Today's NYT Strands hints and answers Credit: New York Times Looking for Friday's Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: I'm back for real this time. I tackled a couple of my colleague Paul Tassi's Strands puzzles earlier this week as he attended to some big family business, but now it's my turn to guide you through this week's uncovering of words. It's the weekend! Let's dive right in. Strands is the newest game in the New York Times' stable of puzzle games. It's a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we're given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day's theme. Spoilers ahead. Read on for today's theme and some hints to help you uncover today's words. Instead of giving you the first two letters of each word, today I'm giving out three hints instead of two. Today's Theme: I am what I am Hint: Unfortunately, this is not a reference to Popeye the Sailor Man. Clue: This is actually about you. Here are the first two letters of each of today's words: Remember, spoilers ahead! Today's spangram is: BEYOURSELF Here's the full list of words: Here's the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands Screenshot: Erik Kain I immediately started looking for POPEYE and words that might go with POPEYE because his whole schtick is 'I am what I am and that's all that I am . . . I'm Popeye the sailor man!' but alas, this was not the case. The words were all about the self, and when I found that word I tracked it backwards to BEYOURSELF, today's spangram. Most of these were pretty easy. HUMAN, SOUL, PERSON. The trickier ones were MORTAL and INDIVIDUAL, but overall this was one of the easier Strands I've tackled recently. How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to check out my blog for my daily Wordle guides as well as all my other writing about TV shows, streaming guides, movie reviews, video game coverage and much more. Thanks for stopping by!

NYT ‘Strands' Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Wednesday, June 4th

Today's NYT Strands hints and answers Credit: New York Times Looking for Tuesday's Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: Hello dearest Strandistarians. I'm once again taking over for my colleague Paul Tassi today in our quest to uncover words in your daily Strands puzzle. Today's Theme: Monster quest Hint: Sasquatch type beasts. Clue: Nessie, for instance. Here are the first two letters of each of today's words: Remember, spoilers ahead! Today's spangram is: CRYPTIDS Here's the full list of words: Here's the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands Screenshot: Erik Kain Cryptids—today's spangram—are species that are rumored to exist but cannot be proven scientifically. It's possible that a KRAKEN is somewhere in the depths of the ocean, however unlikely, or that BIGFOOT roams the wilderness, perhaps befriending a JACKALOPE or two. I got a couple of these pretty quickly, but was pretty stumped for awhile. YETI wasn't too bad, but even though I suspected JACKALOPE it took me a good bit to find it as well as MOTHMAN. How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook.
