Kangana Ranaut reacts to Pawan Kalyan calling her ‘stronger' actor than Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra

Actor and Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, is busy promoting his recent release, Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The actor, who is known for famously not taking part in film promotions, chose a different strategy for his first film as a politician. In a rapid-fire with Hauterrfly, Pawan picked Kangana Ranaut as his ideal co-star over Priyanka Chopra or Kareena Kapoor. The Mandi MP reacted to Pawan calling her a 'stronger' actor. Pawan Kalyan stated that he's impressed with Kangana Ranaut's performance in Emergency. Pawan Kalyan wants to act with Kangana Ranaut During the rapid-fire round, Pawan was asked if he would rather act with Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone. Calling it a 'difficult choice', he picked both. When asked between Alia, Deepika and Kriti Sanon, Pawan smiled and picked all three. But between Alia, Deepika, Kriti and Kiara Advani, Pawan seemed to make up his mind while picking Kriti. Pawan was then asked if he would rather work with Kriti or Kangana Ranaut, and he answered Kangana. He also picked Kangana when asked to choose between her and Priyanka Chopra. When it came to Kareena Kapoor and Kangana, Pawan felt it depended on the film. However, he added, 'I still feel…looking at how she portrayed Indira Gandhi (in Emergency), I think I should go with the stronger person, Kangana Ranaut.' Reacting to the rapid-fire, Kangana reshared it on her Instagram stories with folded hands and loving emojis. The only female actor who managed to beat Kangana as Pawan's favourite potential co-star was his brother Chiranjeevi's Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari co-star, the late Sridevi. When asked to choose between Kangana and Sridevi, Pawan replied with a smile, 'This one, Sridevi, of course.' Kangana Ranaut re-shared Pawan Kalyan's rapid-fire on her Instagram stories. Recent work Kangana, who debuted with the 2006 film Gangster and acted in only one Telugu film in her career, the 2009 Prabhas-starrer Ek Niranjan, was last seen in Emergency, which she also directed and produced. Pawan, who was last seen in the 2023 film Bro, was seen in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which was released in theatres last week in all south Indian languages. The film has yet to be released in Hindi. He will soon star in They Call Him OG and Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

The film crossed the ₹100 mark worldwide in four days of release. HHVM had the advantage of a Wednesday premiere and a Thursday release. However, collections dipped on Friday and the weekend. Jyothi tweaked the story from what Krish intended when he took over the project. Given the lukewarm reviews and mixed word of mouth, it remains to be seen how Pawan's first film as the Deputy CM of AP fares.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu scenes with bad VFX tweaked/removed from Pawan Kalyan film; fans wonder why it wasn't done before

Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krisna's Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1—Sword vs Spirit, starring Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal, was released in theatres last Thursday. Paid premieres were held on Wednesday evening. A tweaked version of the film was almost silently released in theatres after it was criticised for bad VFX and unnecessary scenes. (Also Read: Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 3: Pawan Kalyan film earns just over ₹9 cr; no recovery even on Saturday) Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu was criticised for its shoddy VFX and storyline. Hari Hara Veera Mallu tweaked version released Fans who rewatched HHVM over the weekend noticed that some scenes in the film had been trimmed, while a huge chunk towards the end was removed. They began posting pictures and videos from theatres across Telugu states, commenting on how the film looks much better now with the changes. One fan posted how the film ending was trimmed down, writing on X (formerly Twitter), 'Perfect cut idi matram (This is the perfect cut)...Ending on a high note .....and that vfx tooo.' Another wrote, '#HariHaraVeeraMallu few unwanted VFX shots have been removed.' One fan commented, 'Had they done this before...' Another wrote, 'Ee pani edho mundhe chesunte bavundedi kadara (Would've been nice had they done this beforehand).' The HHVM team also confirmed that the film has been tweaked on X, writing, 'BATTLE FOR DHARMA JUST GOT BIGGER. Updated & reloaded content across all screens for the BEST cinematic experience. #HariHaraVeeraMallu - IN CINEMAS NOW.' Which scenes were moved or tweaked in HHVM A Pawan fan who re-watched HHVM over the weekend wrote, 'Banda rai scene fast chesaru. Bad Horse riding VFX scenes, Baanam scene, Flag Scene removed, Some of the Scene Was Improvise & Climax ends with Aandhi vachesindi (They fastened the scene with the boulder, bad horse riding scenes, the arrow scene, and the flag scene with bad VFX were removed. Some scenes were improved, and the climax ends with the storm dialogue.)' Another fan wrote, '1. Maata vinaali somg mundu banda rayu padatam .. avi crisp ga change chesaru. (The boulder scene before Maata Vinaali song is crisper now.) 2. Horse riding scenes front view .. limited to just 2 shots. 3. Flag scene deleted. 4. Yaagam scene .. 3 arrow shot was good now. 5. Pre climax became Climax (almost).' The most significant change to HHVM was made to the film's climax, where Pawan's Veera Mallu and Bobby Deol's Aurangzeb face off in a tornado. It looks like the scene has been completely removed from the film, and it ends with the shot where Aurangzeb says, 'Aandhi vachesindi (The storm is here),' while Pawan is riding in. Around 10-15 minutes of footage has been chopped from the film's ending. HHVM still ends by announcing that a Part 2, Battlefield, Yuddhabhoomi in Telugu, will continue the story. According to Sacnilk, the film has made ₹75.65 crore net in India since its release.

Farmer on night vigil killed in attack by 16-member herd of wild elephants in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district

A farmer, Ramakrishna Raju (55), was killed on the spot when a 16-member herd of wild elephants attacked him in a field at Kothuru village of Somala mandal in Chittoor district late on Saturday night. The incident triggered panic in several villages in the vicinity, as the herd was reportedly camping at a water body nearby. As per information, the herd emerged from the nearby thickets, strayed into the field, and attacked the unsuspecting victim who was on night vigil. The sudden charge left the farmer helpless. The villagers informed the forest officials that the herd had been resorting to crop raids after dusk for the last three days. Pawan condoles death Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan condoled the farmer's death and expressed solidarity with the family members. He announced that ex gratia would be given, and directed that the forest officials initiate corrective measures to prevent wild elephants from venturing into human habitations. Meanwhile, the incident led to angry protests on Sunday, with the villagers staging a blockade on the Tirupati-Punganur Road along with the body of the farmer, blaming the Forest Department for its 'gross negligence.' Raising slogans such as 'where are the Kumki elephants,' the villagers urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Mr. Pawan Kalyan to immediately intervene and do justice to the bereaved family. They demanded that a scientific action plan be worked out to put an end to the vexed man-animal conflict in the western mandals of the district. The villagers alleged that despite their repeated alerts about the movement of the wild elephants, there was no tangible action from the Forest Department. Senior forest officials rushed to Kothuru and pacified the agitators by assuring them compensation and corrective measures. The farmer's body was later shifted to the area hospital for autopsy.
