Digital guided tour system at natural history museum opened
T'puram: Minister for museums Ramachandran Kadannappally inaugurated a digital guided tour system available in four languages at Natural History Museum in the city. He said a network of diverse museums was fulfilled with the implementation of around 30 new museum projects across the state.
The network includes Payyannur Gandhi Smriti Museum, Kannur Handloom Museum, Vaikom Satyagraha Museum, Peralassery AKG Smriti Museum, Theyyam Museum and Bishop Valloppilly Memorial Migration Museum. These have been transformed into thematic storytelling museums in line with modern museum concepts, the minister added.
The digital guided tour system is available in Malayalam, English, Tamil and Hindi.
Visitors can tap on a tablet to access information about exhibits in each gallery, making the museum visit smoother and more engaging. These devices, with a 14-inch display, offer a high-quality audio experience through premium earphones, he said.
