A Fall Shake-Up is Coming to Starbucks: Starbucks Stock (NASDAQ:SBUX) Jumps
Yesterday, we found out about coffee giant Starbucks (SBUX) and its plans to roll out a drink that for many screams fall with quite a bit of summer left to go. Now, we have new word about the rest of the fall menu, and there will be some significant surprises to come. There will be surprises in what Starbucks will offer, and what it will refuse to offer as well. The news hit home for shareholders, who sent shares jumping nearly 3% in Tuesday afternoon's trading. One of the biggest new items coming to Starbucks is the Pecan Cortado. Described as an '…espresso-forward drink with pecan syrup twist,' the beverage is eight ounces and is also considered a major push into European coffee culture. The Cortado will join the Pumpkin Spice Latte, available August 26. There is also an unusual new push into food, with the launch of Italian Sausage Egg Bites. Prepared sous vide—basically by immersing a sealed packet into hot water for a set period—the bites are described as having a '…velvety texture that's full of flavor.' In an odd twist, though, one of the most popular flavors of fall–apple–is out at Starbucks. There will be no apple-flavored drinks in the fall lineup. No Iced Apple Crisp, no ciders—hot or cold—and nothing to remind the customer that fall is apple season. More Water Troubles A while back, we found out a story about a patron who was in desperate need of a glass of water. It is the kind of thing that should be simply done, represents only a tiny cost to the business, and often makes for satisfied future customers. But Starbucks has once again run afoul of those seeking water, this time, a USPS driver. The postal driver tried to get a glass of water after delivering a package to the Starbucks location. The barista refused, saying that free water was apparently not a thing, as the water could be given out for free if there was a purchase made. So the delivery driver bought a bottle of water instead, and took her story to social media. There was no response from Starbucks as yet, the report noted. This will likely not sit well with customers hoping for some basic empathy, or with shareholders who want to look like they are not investing in a monster that denies something as simple as water to delivery drivers. Is Starbucks Stock a Good Buy? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Moderate Buy consensus rating on SBUX stock based on 13 Buys, nine Holds and two Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 21.51% rally in its share price over the past year, the average SBUX price target of $96.24 per share implies 0.65% upside potential.

Starbucks Just Confirmed the Return of 4 Fall Favorites—and 1 Surprising New Flavor
We're still making our way through this month's menu of new drinks at Starbucks as well as tinkering with last week's not-so-secret menu release, customizing and perfecting our perfect summer order. But the siren says it's fall, y'all. Today, Starbucks dropped a ton of news for its beloved fall menu. We've got returning hits, new sure-to-be favorites, and an official launch date to kick off the autumn season. And it's coming sooner than you think. Starbucks Announces Return of Pumpkin Spice Latte View this post on Instagram A post shared by Starbucks (@starbucks) The Pumpkin Spice Latte turns 20 this year, and Starbucks has no plans of taking this iconic drink off the menu. In a press release, the coffee chain confirmed that the PSL will return to fall menus—weeks before the season officially starts. Pumpkin Spice fans can get their fix as soon as August 26. And it's not the only beloved fall flavor making a return. Starbucks is bringing back four other sweater weather classics: Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte. The Seattle siren has been known to release some polarizing flavors around autumn, too. No Apple Crisp updates, yet, but Starbucks did share two new menu items coming this fall. Starbucks Adds New Pecan Cortado To Fall Menu After the success of other pecan-flavored beverages, Starbucks is adding an all-new Pecan Cortado to the menu, and, in this writer's opinion, it is the best way to showcase pecan flavor. If you're a cortado newbie, this espresso beverage has a 1:1 ratio of coffee to steamed milk. And the milk is lightly steamed, allowing the espresso to pack a bolder punch. It's like the flat white's feisty little sister. And with Starbucks' signature pecan flavor, it's basically a cup of roasted pecan pie. (No hate for PSL, but as a Southern gal, pecan pie is the fall dessert and this will absolutely be the first thing I order if I dip into fall drinks while it's still summer.) That's not the only new release coming to fall menus. Starbucks also shared that a new food item will be making its debut: Italian Sausage Egg Bites. Our editors are big fans of the existing Egg Bites lineup, so needless to say, we're definitely excited to try these. It's bittersweet to think about summer ending—especially while we're still enjoying ice cream-inspired coffee to beat the heat—but if you've already started prepping for Halloween and tailgate season, Starbucks is rolling out the fall vibes so you won't have to wait much longer. Starbucks Just Unveiled Its Fall 2025 Lineup — and It Includes a Flavored Cortado and a New Savory Bite
Key Points Starbucks, the Seattle-based coffee giant, will launch its 2025 fall menu on August 26, maintaining its tradition of releasing autumn-themed treats late in the summer. The lineup features both beloved returning items and at least one new addition, combining traditional offerings with fresh, innovative flavors. A few drinks from last year are notably absent, reflecting the brand's ongoing strategy to simplify its seasonal just like that, we've reached Pumpkin Spice Latte season again. Starbucks is bringing back its autumn menu on August 26, a brand representative confirms to Food & Wine. The iconic latte is accompanied by a slew of new and returning favorites, including a new egg bite. The Pumpkin Spice Latte and the entire pumpkin lineup celebrate 'the unofficial start of fall,' according to the company announcement. Soon, you can expect the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte to join the official menu. Starbucks also continues its focus on craft coffee with the Pecan Cortado, an espresso drink blended with equal parts milk and a nut-forward syrup. Italian Sausage Egg Bites, a new variation of the chain's small breakfast sides, are now expanding across the country. (Starbucks specifically makes its egg bites using sous vide, giving a 'velvety texture that's full of flavor.') That's all the information available at the moment, but we'll stay alert for further updates as the release date approaches. As for the preemptive July announcement, Starbucks points to online buzz around 'Summerween,' an unofficial early start to Halloween-related activities during the sweltering summer months. Additionally, the 2025 menu isn't even that early — last year, the coffee behemoth set a record with the earliest launch on August 22. Over the past decade, that release date has gradually moved earlier into the summer season. Notably absent from this year's announcement are a few seasonal drinks: the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte, and Iced Honey Apple Almond Milk Flat White. Related: Starbucks Just Made Its 'Secret Menu' Official — Here's What's on It All three drinks debuted last year, and it's unclear if — or why — they were cut this time around. A new company strategy might be responsible; earlier this spring, Starbucks announced a gradual refocusing of its entire menu, whittling down lesser-known and higher-lift beverages for easier service. Starbucks hasn't yet confirmed if these drinks will be absent from 2025 menus. Feeling impatient? Starbucks' new Pumpkin product line is now on grocery shelves. This includes packaged coffee such as Pumpkin Spice, Smoked Butterscotch Flavored Coffee, and Fall Blend coffee grounds, along with flavored K-Cup pods. In early August, Starbucks will also start selling ready-to-drink Iced Espresso Pumpkin Spice Latte bottles and single-serve Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Chilled Coffee Drinks. Seasonal creamers from brands like International Delight and Dunkin' already hit shelves in early July. Among them is the controversial Candy Corn flavor from Nutpods, a plant-based creamer that warrants extra points for creativity. While it feels like the dog days of summer have barely begun, we're already daydreaming of breezy fall days. Life comes at you fast — and before we know it, we'll be adding pumpkin syrup to our morning coffee once again.
