At least 2 taken to hospital, suspected impaired driver in custody after Brampton collision

(Courtesy: Peel Paramedics) At least two people have been taken to the hospital, and an alleged impaired driver is in custody following a multi-vehicle collision in Brampton. Peel Regional Police and York Regional Police responded to the area of Highway 50 and Coleraine Drive around 4:15 p.m. for a crash. Peel police say four vehicles were involved and multiple people sustained injuries, including one in life-threatening condition. Peel paramedics told CTV News Toronto that they transported two people to the hospital in stable condition. Police say a man was arrested for impaired operation. They added that all vehicles involved in the crash remained at the scene.

Man seriously injured in Brampton stabbing
A man was seriously injured but is expected to survive following a stabbing near Main St. and Nelson St. before 1 p.m. in downtown Brampton. A man has been taken to the hospital after being stabbed in downtown Brampton Saturday afternoon. Peel paramedics say they were called to the area of Main Street North and Nelson Street East, north of Queen Street West, just before 1 p.m. for an assault. When they arrived, police and paramedics located a male victim with serious injuries. Paramedics say he was transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition. No suspect information has been released.

Motorcyclist killed in late-night Brampton crash
Peel paramedics say one person has died following a motorcycle collision in Brampton Saturday night (CP24 photo). One person has died following a collision involving a motorcycle in Brampton late Saturday night. The incident happened at the intersection of Chrysler Drive and Corporation Drive just before 11 p.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found a male motorcyclist suffering from severe head trauma. Motorcylce The motorcycle emergency crews say was involved in a fatal collision late Saturday night (CP24 photo). Peel paramedics say they transported the victim to a local hospital, where they later succumb to their injuries. Another vehicle was located at the scene where officials confirmed that driver remained on site. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Brampton man charged with impaired driving after crash leaves 1 dead, another injured
Social Sharing A 23-year-old Brampton man has been charged with impaired driving after a fatal collision in Caledon early Sunday morning, police say. Caledon OPP and emergency crews responded to the collision on Bramalea Road, near Boston Mills Road, shortly after 1:30 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Sunday. The car was on fire when paramedics arrived, a spokesperson for Peel Paramedics said. Three people were in the vehicle at the time, one who had to be extricated by fire crews and another who exited on their own, the spokesperson said. A 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene once the fire was extinguished. Another passenger was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries. The 23-year-old driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later arrested after officers determined he was driving while impaired by alcohol, police said in the release. He's since been charged with impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm and obstructing a police officer.
