P4 is a grand step in social development, says Collector
District Collector S. Venkateswar on Friday said that the State government's ambitious P4 (People's Participation in Progress and Prosperity) programme is a grand step in social development.
He formally announced the adoption of five families under the 'Bangaru Kutumbalu' concept, including four families from the Shikari community residing in Nakkala colony of Tiruchanur and one from Daminedu, all in the vicinity of the Tirupati District Collectorate.
The members-led by the family heads S. Savitramma, Vedavalli, Ambika, Balaram and Vijayashanti gathered at the Collectorate and profusely thanked Mr. Venkateswar for the gesture. The Collector said that steps would be taken to assess the economic condition of the families and suitable interventions would be taken to improve their education, health, employment and living standards.
