Is this Perth's youngest rap music fan?

He might only be eight years old, but Yokine's Noah Gianotti was as passionate as any rap music fan lining up to meet British performer Central Cee at Perth Airport on Tuesday evening ahead of the star's RAC Arena show tonight. One of forty or fifty dedicated locals attempting to greet the star, Noah was overcome with emotion after the drill rapper stopped to say hello, posed for a photo, and signed a cover of his 2025 album Can't Rush Greatness. 'I actually started crying after, because I'm a big fan of him,' Noah told PerthNow, with the youngster's parents on hand to capture the pair's encounter. While the touring artist's music is crafted for adult ears, the RAC Arena show is billed as an all-ages event. Sure to play Noah's favourite tracks Sprinter and BAND4BAND — cracking 900 million and 400 million listens on Spotify respectively, the youngster will not be attending the star's last Aussie show. For him, the tangible nature of a face-to-face meeting with his musical heroes means more than simply cheering them on from a distance. Noah's parents Nick Gianotti and Prue Earl have influenced his taste in music, and have been playing hip hop around the house for his entire life. As patient as he is passionate, Noah has waited hours to meet the likes of Drake, Post Malone, and Blink-182's Travis Barker upon their trips to Perth in recent times. His parents manage an Instagram account which shares all of his celebrity encounters.

Woman arrested after wild pre-flight Virgin freakout in Perth

A 28-year-old Perth woman has been removed from a Virgin flight bound for Melbourne after starting a verbal altercation with airline staff. Australian Federal Police were reportedly called to a flight waiting to leave Perth Airport after a woman began to act erratically on the outbound plane, which had yet to depart its gate. Footage shows the woman verbally accosting a flight attendant, apparently over a disagreement revolving around her possession of a 'bum bag'. 'You're telling me to take my clothes off on a plane, f*** off,' says the woman in the footage, directing her vitriolic barrage towards a flight attendant standing in the aisle. 'No I didn't say that … you had a bum bag on, in the event of an evacuation we need to make sure you're safe and everyone else is safe,' the attendant replies calmly. Another member of the crew then ushers the attendant away, before staff tell the woman the AFP will 'deal with' her. 7News reports the woman was eventually ushered off the plane by AFP officers and then arrested and formally charged. The AFP and Virgin have been contacted for comment.
