Dayton Dragons' new owners mark team's 25th season with 1st pitch at Reds exhibition
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Dragons' new ownership group celebrated the start of the new season by throwing out the first pitch at the Cincinnati Reds' exhibition game at Day Air Ballpark Tuesday night.
Peter Freund, CEO of Diamond Baseball Holdings, did the honors.

The Dayton Dragons Kids Club is back
The game between the Reds and a team of organization prospects was the finale to the Major League team's preseason. Cincinnati's regular season begins Thursday, March 27, against the San Francisco Giants.
A crowd of 8,515 was on hand at Day Air Ballpark to see a Reds team that contained a number of former Dragons players, including budding superstar Elly De La Cruz, one of three cover players for 'MLB: The Show 25.'
The Dragons season begins Friday, April 4, at Wilmington. They make their 2025 Day Air Ballpark debut on Tuesday, April 8, against Fort Wayne. Visit the Dragons website to see the full schedule and buy tickets.
