PETROSAINS was awarded the 'Most Popular Job Ads – Corporation' award at the Seek People & Purpose Awards 2025, hosted by Jobstreet by SEEK on May 29, at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The Seek People & Purpose Awards celebrate outstanding organisations and human resource (HR) practitioners in Malaysia who champion impactful, forward-thinking HR strategies.
This award recognises Petrosains approach to talent attraction that seeks to align with jobseekers' desire for roles with value and meaning—especially in advancing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning within society.
'As a learning catalyst powering change through STEM education, all of us at Petrosains believe that investing in human capital is key to achieving meaningful impact and enabling transformational growth.
'This award is a testament to our ongoing efforts to attract and nurture quality individuals who will undergird and lead the way in advancing our mission.' said Petrosains chief executive officer Ezarisma Azni Mohamad.
Conducive workplace, people-first
Petrosains adopts a people-first approach to recruitment and talent development by creating a conducive work environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as well as holistic growth, career progression and a sense of purpose among its employees.
Through purpose-driven roles and the cultivation of a supportive, forward-looking workplace culture, Petrosains seeks to inspire, empower and grow future [open] leaders who can enrich lives through STEM education.
Giving back to the community
Over 26 years, Petrosains has been a cornerstone of enhancing STEM literacy among communities in Malaysia through a wide range of inreach and outreach initiatives.
In addition to its flagship science centre at Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, Petrosains has established four satellite centres in Johor Baru, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
These mini science centres replicate the interactive and engaging experiences of the main centre on a smaller scale, bringing science closer to local communities.
To bridge the STEM literacy gap between urban and remote communities, Petrosains has also rolled out several targeted initiatives.
These include the Petrosains Tech4All programme—a hands-on robotics initiative specially curated for indigenous students across Malaysia—and Petrosains Discovery Rover, which brings mobile exhibitions and science activities to underserved areas, particularly in rural Sabah.
Award-winning STEM exhibits
In addition to its STEM education initiatives, Petrosains is also the operator of the PETRONAS Twin Towers Visit Experience (PeTTVE), offering visitors from around the world a unique and immersive journey through Malaysia's most iconic landmark.
The experience begins at the interlinking Skybridge at Level 41, where guests can take in scenic views of the KLCC precinct, including the beautifully landscaped KLCC Park.
The visit continues to the Observation Deck at Level 86, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur's skyline.
Visitors can also explore informative exhibits on Levels 86 and 83 that provide deeper insights into the architectural significance and national importance of the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
Earlier this year, Petrosains received multiple accolades in recognition of its excellence and innovation in delivering STEM education.
These include winning Bronze in the Entertainment Category at the Putra Brand Awards, the Platinum Award for the OSH Principle of Prevention (OSHPoP) at the MiSHA National Excellence Awards 2024 and the Malaysia Tech Excellence Awards 2025 for two categories, which are ESG Tech – Education through Petrosains PlayFarm, and Robotics – Education via the Petrosains RBTX Challenge.
