Much-loved 'go-to' Glasgow West End chippy closes doors
The 'go-to' chip shop, Philadelphia Fish & Chicken Bar, on Great Western Road, has shut up shop to allow for a spruce-up.
A long-established stalwart of the area, it's queued out the door at school lunchtimes and provides many a weary student with a feed.
They've put up signs in the window announcing the closure, and the windows have been covered.

The chippy is always heaving, with queues snaking out of the door, but the closure has been timed well with the school's summer break.
Philadelphia, established in 1930, offers all the usual chippy favourites as well as some chicken, pizza, and burger options from the popular store on the bustling street.
Located above West End watering hole, Inn Deep, it's a firm favourite of those on a night out too.
