Who is Rayyan Arkan Dhika? An 11-year-old Indonesian boy going viral for his boat racing dance
Rayyan Arkan Dhika, an 11-year-old boy from Indonesia, has caught the world's eye for his dance, smooth and full of swagger, during a local festival, as he stood in the front of a long, speeding boat. Dhika was a part of the traditional Pacu Jalur festival in Riau, where he danced confidently at the bow of a racing canoe. In one of his viral videos, he can be seen in a traditional Teluk Belanga costume paired with a Malay Riau headcloth. Dhika, a Class 5 student from a village in Kuantan Singingi Regency, was making his first appearance at the festival. Standing at the prow of the moving race boat rowed by several adults, he can be seen blowing kisses to both sides and waving his arms, all the while maintaining an expressionless face. In another video, he extends one of his hands forward at chest height and sweeps the other beneath it, then rotates both fists in a wheel-like motion. bro's job is to aura farm — non aesthetic things (@PicturesFoIder) July 2, 2025 Reacting to his viral moment, Dhika, in an interview with the BBC, said, 'I came up with the dance myself. Viral Video Claims To Show "Cleanest Indian Street Food", Internet Does Not Agree
The allure of street food lies in its unapologetic flavours, vibrant colours and the infectious energy of the streets themselves. Indian street food, in particular, is renowned for its bold spices, tantalising aromas and the unbridled passion of its vendors. However, amidst the chaos of crowded streets and sizzling grills, a question often lingers: cleanliness. A recent video claiming to showcase the "cleanest" Indian street food has gone viral on social media, sparking a heated debate online. The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter), shows a street food vendor making a rose-syrup drink. Also Read: Cold Drink In Omelette? As per the caption, this stall is named "Kulukki" and it is located in Kochi, India. View this post on Instagram A post shared by STREET FOOD JOURNEY (@streetfoodjourn3y) The post went viral with 9.8 million views on social media. Several users disagreed with the sentiment of it being the "cleanest Indian street food". One user wrote, "'cleanest' ....video starts with an Indian dude's hand IN THE GLASS?" Another added, "The refusal to wear gloves, at a minimum, is impressive." Some even came out in defence of food hygiene in India. A viewer wrote, "Foreigners be coming to India and eating from the most unhygienic and rotten places where even locals don't eat." "Why complain about street food? No one's stopping you from going to a restaurant and eating hygienic food. Street food is made on a low budget where hygiene is undervalued, but it delivers rich and authentic flavours," read a comment. "This is in Kochi, this is where I take anyone who's new to this city," remarked a user.

This Kochi Vendor Makes Strawberry Shakes Like He Is Behind A Cocktail Bar
Last Updated: A viral video of a street vendor making a rose syrup drink in a visibly clean setup has stirred discussions around hygiene in Indian street food. A viral video, being called the 'cleanest Indian street food," has created a buzz online. It has already gained over 9 million views on X (formerly Twitter). The clip shows a street vendor from Kochi, Kerala, preparing a vibrant rose-flavoured drink with surprising cleanliness and flair. The video opens with the vendor adding rose syrup to a glass, followed by soda water and a scoop of strawberry ice cream. Then, he pours in some milk, which turns the drink frothy and gives it a rich pink colour. Next, he drops a few ice cubes into the glass and seals it with a shaker lid. He shakes the drink well and then, in a dramatic twist, tosses the glass into the air and catches it, showing off a bit of flair in his serving style. The drink is then handed over, topped with foam, and ready to enjoy with a straw. The video has gained millions of views on social media for its cleanliness and entertaining preparation. While many praised the vendor's setup, others questioned the hygiene due to the use of bare hands. Despite the mixed reactions, the drink and the video have captured wide attention online. this is the cleanest indian street food i've ever seen — non aesthetic things (@PicturesFoIder) June 28, 2025 The video was originally posted by the Instagram page Street Food Journey on June 15 and has already crossed 31.9 million views there. It identifies the stall as 'Kuluki," a well-known name in Kerala for flavoured sarbath and milk drinks. Many quickly pointed out what they felt was poor hygiene. ''Cleanest' … video starts with an Indian dude's hand IN THE GLASS?" one user scoffed. Another sarcastically noted, 'The refusal to wear gloves, at a minimum, is impressive." Some went as far as questioning the concept itself: 'Is there such a thing as clean Indian street food?" Another comment read, 'Foreigners are coming to India and eating from the most unhygienic and rotten places where even locals don't eat." A user even called on the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to intervene: 'Stop all such nonsense wherever ingestible food is concerned." 'The world has shamed us enough to reverse the perception and make Indian street food (& restaurants) the most hygienic in the world!" another added. There was even debate about the video's origin. While some claimed it was from Pakistan, many pointed out, correctly, that the setup is from Kochi, Kerala. Despite the mixed reactions, the video's widespread popularity has reignited conversations about hygiene standards in Indian street food culture — and whether visual cleanliness is enough to change deeply rooted public perceptions. Fans just learning Thomas Brodie-Sangster's real age after comparing him to legendary actor
Fans of movie star Thomas Brodie-Sangster, known for starring in The Maze Runner and Nanny McPhee as a child, have been shocked to learn his real age Fans are only just learning of Thomas Brodie-Sangster's real age after being compared with another legendary actor. Sangster, an actor from London, is known for his role as Newt in The Maze Runner movie series and as a child actor, he gained recognition for featuring in the hit films Love Actually and Nanny McPhee. He was born on May 16, 1990 so he is 34 years old. A user on X, @PicturesFoIder, posted side-by-side photos of Sangster and Scottish actor Sean Connery, known for playing James Bond, at the same age and people on the platform couldn't help but notice how different they look. One user said: 'One smoked cigarettes and the other did not.' Connery, who died on October 31, 2020 at the age of 90, was known to smoke both cigarettes and cigars, on and off-screen. Another added: 'Much more testosterone in men back in Connery's day compared to men today.' A third chimed in: 'Sean Connery, born 1930, was 34 in 1964 during his James Bond era, known for a rugged lifestyle. Thomas Brodie-Sangster, born 1990, was 34 in 2024, often cast in youthful roles like Love Actually. Lifestyle differences, like Connery's smoking, may explain aging contrast.' A fourth claimed: 'Sean was smoking heavily from 12 years old on. Drank a lot too. Both age you quickly.' A fifth user shared: 'I'm 55 and I am only just starting to have lines on my face like Sean at 34, and I could probably undo that without much trouble ( and without botox or surgery). Smoking and drinking age you. Smoking, in particular, messes with your skin.' Connery was the first actor to play the fictional British secret agent James Bond in motion pictures, starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983. In the original novels by Ian Fleming, James Bond is a heavy smoker, putting away between 60 and 70 cigarettes a day and on screen he doesn't match the sixty-a-day habit in the books, but he does smoke in eleven of the 23 007 films, as reported by Geist. Much like his fictional character, Connery himself was a heavy smoker. He started his smoking habit when he was a child aged just nine-years-old, according to The Independent. In 1971, Connery gave a candid interview to The Guardian. He told the newspaper: 'I try not to drink too much because when I do drink I drink too much and too easily. I gave up smoking three years ago' a complete cut-off; when I smoked pot I found that I didn't like it because, although it turned me on all right, it was too much like smoking cigarettes', MI6 Headquarters, the world 's most visited unofficial James Bond 007 website, reported. In contrast, Sangster lives a private, quiet life in Hertfordshire with his wife Talulah Riley. The pair are focused on building up their farm and growing their own food, as per Hello! Magazine.
