Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz Spend A Day Exploring Museums In Spain

Actor Johnny Depp took some time off from his busy schedule and enjoyed an outing with his Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides co-star Penelope Cruz. The two stars were captured at the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain. In the pictures posted by the official Instagram page of the museum on Friday, June 13, Johnny and Penelope were seen posing together in front of giant black and white murals. In one photo, the 51-year-old actress was seen taking a selfie with Johnny, while in another, the pair, with their arms around each other, posed for the camera. For their museum outing, Penelope kept it cool and chic in a black t-shirt and denim blue jeans, whereas the 62-year-old actor, with his signature charm, was seen dressed in a black suit paired with a white shirt and a hat. Directed by Marc Webb, the action thriller marks the fourth big collaboration between Penelope and Johnny after Blow (2001), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017). The first glimpse of the 62-year-old actor from the upcoming film went viral in April this year. Lionsgate revealed Johnny's first look, featuring silver hair, a full grey beard, and blue lenses in a sharp blue suit. In the picture, he was seen casually leaning against a counter with a cocktail in hand. According to Variety, Day Drinker will revolve around the life of a private yacht bartender, played by Madelyn Cline, who meets Johnny's character, a mysterious guest onboard. What starts as a simple encounter soon deepens as the two become entangled with a dangerous figure, played by Penelope Cruz. Besides them, the film also features Manu Ríos, Aron Piper, Juan Diego Botto and Anika Boyle in other key roles. The upcoming action thriller also marks the highly anticipated return of Johnny Depp to Hollywood following his highly publicised defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, in 2022. Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz set out to find the 'Fountain of Youth' in the 2011 film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' and going by their latest photo together, fans think they may have actually found it. The two, who are currently filming their 4th film together, seemingly decided to take a quick break in Spain. The two were spotted on a day out at the Museo Reina Sofía museum. The museum's official account shared a post that showed the two of them posing together and taking a selfie in front of one of the paintings in the museum. They shared photos of the two beloved actors with the caption 'Thanks for joining us @johnnydepp and @penelopecruzoficial, until next time! #MuseoReinaSofia #JohnnyDepp #PenelopeCruz.' Fans shocked at Depp's younger look As soon as the photos were shared online, fans from all around the world flocked to the comment section of the post to shower the two with love. Fans of Depp were shocked as well as happy at how much younger the artist looks in the recently shared photos alongside Cruz. One fan commented that 'he never gets old!!', while another shared that 'So good to see Johnny looking much healthier and more relaxed than he has been in years! Wonderful!!!' Another gushed about the two actors, stating, 'It's an honour to see two such great artists surrounded by such an iconic painting! We love this duo!' while another continued that 'Johnny, tell me—feels like we're back in 2014… right?' Johnny Depp Looks Unrecognizable in First Look at Comeback Movie "Day Drinker"
Yara Sameh Lionsgate has begun production on 'Day Drinker,' sharing a first-look photo of Johnny Depp as he makes his return to Hollywood following high-profile legal battles with ex-wife Amber Heard. The movie from '500 Days of Summer' and 'Snow White' director Marc Webb re-teams Depp and Penélope Cruz for a fourth time after previous collaborations on 'Blow,' 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' and 'Murder on the Orient Express.' Madelyn Cline, Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto, and Anika Boyle round out the cast. 'Day Drinker' tells the story of a private-yacht bartender (Cline) who encounters a mysterious, onboard guest (Depp). They soon find themselves entangled with a criminal figure (Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming. The movie, which begins production in Spain, is produced by Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who produce the 'John Wick' franchise for Lionsgate; Adam Kolbrenner, producer of 'The Tomorrow War,' 'Free Guy' and 'Prisoners'; and Zach Dean, who also wrote the original screenplay. Kolbrenner and Dean's film 'The Gorge' was recently released by Apple TV+/Skydance. 'Day Drinker' is executive produced by 30WEST. Lionsgate will present 'Day Drinker' in association with 30WEST. The film is a Thunder Road / IN.2 production. The film's executive producers include Dan Friedkin, Micah Green, Daniel Steinman, Stephen Deuters, Jason Forman, Sam Sarkar, Webb, Eric Sherman, Sarah Hong, Scott LaStaiti, Christopher Woodrow, Connor DiGregorio, and Adrián Guerra. 'I'm excited to be starting production with Johnny, Madelyn, Penelope, and this incredible cast,' Webb said. 'We're in a beautiful location with a fantastic crew and a thrilling, ferocious story to tell. This is gonna be fun.' Webb's production team includes director of photography Javier Aguirresarobe, ASC, AEC, production designer Jan Roelfs, editor Doc Crotzer, ACE, costume designer Penny Rose, and casting directors Hannah Ashby Ward, and Alejandro Gil. Chelsea Kujawa is overseeing the project for Lionsgate. The deals for Ríos, Piper, Botto, and Boyle were overseen for the studio by Dan Freedman.
