Actor Vineet Kumar Singh , known for his role in the film 'Chhaava', is back in Mumbai after getting stranded at the Dubai airport due to a sudden closure of airspace in parts of the Middle East. The situation left passengers confused and waiting for updates, but thankfully, Vineet landed safely in Mumbai early on Tuesday around 3:45 am IST. 'We were clueless around 10 PM' Speaking to News18 after reaching Mumbai, Vineet said, 'We were clueless around 10 pm. Then we got the news that boarding started. Flight takeoff [was] little late but everything was fine. Emirates Airlines and Dubai airport staff helped everyone.' A tense night in the Middle East On Monday night, several reports confirmed that some parts of the Middle East had shut down their airspace. This happened shortly after Iran launched missile strikes on US bases in Qatar. Vineet was at Dubai Airport when the news broke out. He shared an update on his Instagram Stories at the time. His message read, 'I am at Dubai Airport. 9.23pm Dubai Time. Immigration done. Waiting at the gate for my flight (airplane emoji). Fingers crossed.' Safe landing and a heartfelt update Later, once he landed in Mumbai, Vineet posted another update for his fans and followers. He simply wrote, 'Landed (airplane emoji). Mumbai (red heart emoji).' His scheduled departure from Dubai was at 9:40 pm on Monday, but due to the airspace closure, there was a delay. Fortunately, flights resumed, and Vineet made it back home without any issues. What caused the airspace closure? The closure of the airspace in Qatar was a precautionary step taken just before Iran launched six missiles towards US military bases in the country. Following this, Bahrain and Kuwait also shut their airspace for a short time. The officials described this as a temporary measure to avoid any risk to civilian flights. Speaking with News18, Vineet said that he was "clueless around 10 pm" as he waited for his boarding at the Dubai airport. However, his fear was dispelled when the boarding started even though a "little late". Vineet Kumar Singh has starred in films such as Chhaava and Mukkabaaz. Vineet told News18 after landing in Mumbai, 'We were clueless around 10 pm. Then we got the news that boarding started. Flight takeoff [was] little late but everything was fine.
