UP govt to plant record 37cr saplings in a single day today

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh govt is set to script history with a massive green initiative, aiming to plant 37 crore saplings in a single day on Wednesday. The ambitious endeavour is part of the 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam– 2.0' campaign, blending ecological responsibility with emotional and cultural sentiment by encouraging people to dedicate a tree to their mothers. The Plantation Mega Drive–2025 will be officially launched by CM Yogi from Ayodhya and Azamgarh, setting a new benchmark for environmental conservation. During his visit, the CM will engage in public dialogue and distribute cheques to seven farmers under the carbon credit initiative. Forest minister Arun Kumar Saxena will also participate in the event in these districts. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call, the campaign symbolically honours mothers through mass tree plantation. To ensure its success, a record 52.4 crore saplings have been prepared across nurseries and designated sites statewide. Governor Anandiben Patel will lead the event in Barabanki, deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya in Meerut and deputy CM Brajesh Pathak in Lucknow. According to CM Yogi's directives, all cabinet ministers, ministers of state (independent charge), and ministers of state will participate in the campaign by planting saplings in their respective districts under the theme 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam'. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esta IA está generando ingresos (Ver más) Finanzas y economía Prueba ahora Undo Senior IAS officers — additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries — have been appointed as nodal officers for each district.
