The wait is over. Here's your first look at the final season of Stranger Things
Finally, there will be eight episodes split into three volumes with separate release dates. Who is in it? Most of the previous season's cast will return, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Priah Ferguson, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery and Brett Gelman. Sadie Sink's return appeared less certain – the last we saw her character, Max, she was in a coma after falling victim to Vecna's curse. But the trailer confirms she will feature in the final chapter in some capacity. Linda Hamilton, best known for her role as Sarah Connor in The Terminator, will join season five as a new character named Dr Kay. She's seen in the trailer surrounded by demogorgons. Other new actors include Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly and Alex Breaux. Why has it taken so long? Fans have been waiting for season five for about three years. Production was originally set to begin in mid-2023, with a premiere date sometime in early 2025, but it was delayed by the dual writers' and actors' Hollywood strikes (this industrial action halted all writing and filming). Once a deal was reached, the busy schedules of cast members and the show's elaborate visual effects caused further delays. It finally went back into production in early January last year, and only wrapped in December. To put this into perspective, the final season of The Handmaid's Tale, which was also delayed by the strikes, has already come and gone. Same goes for season four of Emily in Paris and season two of Severance, both of which have been out for months. Hawke told the Podcrushed podcast in 2024 that Stranger Things felt 'a little bit cursed' following the pandemic (which caused delays during season four production) and the dual strikes. Matarazzo also told The Hollywood Reporter that the delays were 'certainly frustrating', though he came to appreciate the extra time it gave the cast to be together. Loading For a show about a group of underdog kids battling supernatural forces, delays create logistical challenges. Wolfhard, for example, was 13 in season one but is now 22. Will audiences connect as much to a story about a group of young adults fighting evil? Is this really the end? Technically, no. According to an open letter written by the Duffer brothers in 2022, the main show will end but 'there are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things '. A spinoff series was announced in 2022, and an animated series set in the same universe. Then, of course, there's the Stranger Things stage play, which serves as a prequel to the original series. It's unsurprising that season five isn't the end for the universe – season four set a Nielsen record for the most-watched show ever at the time, claiming more than 7 billion minutes of viewing time in a single week. It was also the most streamed series of 2022.

You: Anna Camp Calls Out Emmys Snub After Playing Twins
Back in April, Anna Camp starred in the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series You, where she played identical twins Raegan and Maddie Lockwood. And the 42-year-old star has been incredibly open about her experience of playing two totally different characters in the same TV show, admitting that it is a 'bucket list item' for most actors. 'To finally be on set and learn both sets of lines and get both hair and makeup done and both wardrobe changes — I mean, it was something that was really exciting for me, a challenge,' she said to Page Six at the New York the same interview, Anna also shared the cheeky question she asked producers after she was cast, quipping: 'As soon as I got the call, I said: 'Well, I'm going to have to learn double the lines, will I get double the money?' They said: 'No,' but I did ask. I had to ask!'And discussing her process during an appearance on her co-star Penn Badgley's Podcrushed podcast, Anna revealed that as a 'woo woo type gal,' she got a crystal that represented each character and had the associated one with her when filming her scenes. 'When I finally saw the scene with the two of me together, I was a little bit like: 'Whoa, OK, I think I might have pulled that off,' she added at the time. 'I was kind of like: 'Oh god, I see two different people, I hope that the audience sees and feels that as well!'' 'The hardest thing about doing the show was just playing the two roles and trying to make them different,' Anna admitted elsewhere in the podcast. So, perhaps it's unsurprising that Anna was expecting an Emmy nomination for her You performance when the shortlist dropped on Tuesday — and wasn't afraid to express her disappointment when she didn't make the cut. For reference, Anna likely would have put herself forward for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama category, which was heavily dominated by the Season 3 White Lotus cast. Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, and Aimee Lou Wood make up four of this year's seven nominees, alongside Patricia Arquette for her performance in Severance, Julianna Nicholson for Paradise, and Katherine LaNasa for The Pitt. Shortly after the nominations were announced, Anna took to her Instagram page to share two screengrabs of herself as Maddie and Raegan, and added in the caption: 'Me reading about the nominations this morning knowing I gave one of the best performances of my life while also trying to be happy for everyone and while also remembering I vowed to stop drinking during the week." She reiterated her feelings on her Instagram story, where she shared two supportive comments from fans, and wrote: 'I love my followers.' The first comment read: 'You were 🔥🔥🔥🔥 snubs are for scrubs … I'll down one for you 🥂,' and the second echoed: 'I would get sh@tfaced if I wasn't nominated for this performance.'Anna was also supported by her girlfriend, Jade Whipkey, who wrote: 'BLOWN AWAY🌹 not many people ever get the chance to play twins and NO ONE has ever done it like you did. Take notes Hollywood ✍️!!!'For what it's worth, throughout its five seasons, You has never been nominated for an Emmy, or won a single industry award. What do you make of Anna's social media posts? Let me know in the comments below!

Demi Lovato to release first cookbook, Entertainment News
Demi Lovato is releasing her first cookbook. The 32-year-old star — who has been open about her struggles with eating disorders — will release One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food on March 31, 2026. A description for the book reads: "Demi Lovato's cooking journey started when she was almost 30. After years of navigating a challenging relationship with food, she found that learning to cook — discovering how to truly nourish herself in mind, body, and spirit — was a revelation. "It was in the kitchen, experimenting with flavours, connecting with loved ones, and channeling her creativity in a new way - that she truly began to appreciate and celebrate the joy of food." Demi's cookbook will feature over 80 recipes ranging "from breakfast to dinner, comfort foods to fast food-inspired favourites, soups to salads, and even go-to sweet treats." The synopsis continues: "Filled with beautiful food photography as well as snapshots that give fans a peek into Demi's home life, personal anecdotes, pantry tips, and cooking hacks, this is a cookbook for Demi Lovato fans, for people who struggle to enjoy food without guilt, and for anyone looking for a gentler, more grounded approach to cooking. "One Plate at a Time is Demi's set list for a delicious new way of thinking about food and how it fits into our lives." The former Disney star has previously alluded to her love for cooking and believes that making meals at home is "the biggest f*** you" to her eating disorder. Demi — who has also suffered from mental health and substance abuse issues — told Penn Badgley's Podcrushed podcast last year: "The main thing that I'm working on is just body acceptance, and looking in the mirror and being like, 'This body is strong... This body saved my life and fought for my life when I overdosed. This body is a miracle.'" The Cool for the Summer singer explained that she is trying to learn "body acceptance" after her eating disorder battles. She said: "I have a treatment team that I work with that helps me stay in recovery, and I've been in recovery from bulimia for five, going on six, years now. "I'm trying to learn body acceptance rather than body positivity, because body positivity feels like, 'I can't even reach that yet.' I have a nutritionist and a therapist that specialises in eating disorders." [[nid:719478]]
