Pontypool Indoor Market Summer Fair invites new businesses
Last Saturday, (June 21) the Pontypool Indoor Market Summer Fair was in full swing.
The event showcased the best of local traders and had lots of different activities to enjoy.
From live music to archery and face painting there was something there for everyone.
These were just some of the friendly faces at Pontypool Summer Fair.
Squishies owner Steven Smith at Pontypool Indoor Market Summer Fair (Image: NQ) Squishies is a new business that's opened in the market.
Run by Steven Smith 39, the business specialises in engravings and customised prints on glass and slate.
Speaking about the business Steven said: 'It's a family run business, and we offer personalised photographs on engravings on glass slate metals for decorations, and this is my third week.'

Another new business open at the Summer Fair was Mark's Mobile Butchers.
Mark's had a Summer Fair deal on which consisted of £20 worth of meat in a mix and match bundle.

'The indoor market staff look after you and are constantly holding events.'

'It's very good there's discounts on food and things like that and the music's good.'

When asked to describe her music she said: 'This is for me to have a mess around and sing a few songs really.
'It's a mixture of everything to be honest and public reactions been really good.'

37-year-old Lisa Michael has been a Scout Leader for many years she helped run an archery booth at the market.
Lisa said: 'So, Torfaen Scouts has groups all over Torfaen and so this is a snippet of what we do so we've got some archery and tomahawks and a donation box.
'This is just a snippet of what we do and it's so nice to see people in the market.'

Michelle Lee 63 travelled all the way from Neath to support the fair.
She painted lots of unique designs throughout the day with all proceeds going to Jayde's Cat Charity a Neath based cat charity.

'We've got lucky dips for all ages, and every penny goes to Jayde's Cat Rescue.'
