'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Stars React to Brit Eady Skipping the Season 16 Reunion in New Trailer

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 reunion trailer dropped on Friday, June 27 The first look teased how stars Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley and Cynthia Bailey, respond to the news that castmate Brit Eady skipped the reunion Despite Eady's absence, the cast still divulge and recall what happened between Eady and former star, Kenya MooreBrit Eady continued to surprise her The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 castmates up until the day of the reunion. On Friday, June 27, Bravo released the first sneak preview of the upcoming three-part reunion of the hit reality series. During the quick trailer, fans got a peek at how the women reacted to fellow castmate Eady's decision to skip the reunion. Towards the first half of the trailer, host Andy Cohen tells Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley and Cynthia Bailey, that 'Brit Eady has decided not to join us.' The clip then cuts to a shocked Ferrell, 40, who says, 'Wow,' while another woman is heard in the background saying, 'What?' Eady's decision to skip the reunion followed PEOPLE's reporting on Thursday, June 5, that she and Kenya Moore would not be attending, Eady on her own volition, while Moore, 54, was not invited by Bravo to participate. Moore was the longest running RHOA star when season 16 began filming back in April 2024. But her time in the season was cut short in June 2024, after she exposed sexually explicit photos presumed to be from Eady's past to guests at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa. She was suspended — and after an internal investigation — exited the series. On the same day as the reunion taping, Thursday, June 5, Eady, 37, addressed her decision not to attend the reunion on her Instagram Stories, alleging that the photos Moore shared a year ago weren't of her to begin with. 'I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,' Eady continued in her statement. 'I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life." During the reunion trailer, Williams, 44, seemingly acknowledges the incident and says, 'Kenya had gotten information from a current housewife about Brit's past.' Cohen, 57, then turns his attention to Ferrell and asks, 'Did you send her the pictures?' His question left Ferrell shocked and speechless. The trailer then cuts to other moments that tease tensions between Parks, 51, and Oakley, as well as Williams and Morton Mwangi, 43, which prompts Williams to leave the reunion set. Porsha Williams' Ex-Husband Breaks Silence On His Side Of The Divorce Story

Porsha Williams' former flame, Simon Guobadia, is singing a different tune about what led to the end of their 14-month marriage. The Nigerian-born businessman called out his ex-wife in a recent interview, accusing her of exploiting him for his money while he fell helplessly in love. He painted the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star as an opportunist who "targeted" him during a vulnerable moment in his life. Porsha Williams filed to end her marriage to Simon Guobadia in February 2024, claiming her ex-husband was no longer the man she once loved. However, he is calling BS on her victim narrative. Guobadia did not mince his words while addressing his divorce from Williams, which was finalized this month. He labeled the end of their short-lived union "a coup," stressing that he was "totally blindsided" by her actions. "I kept asking, 'Why did you file for a divorce?' And she wouldn't say anything," Guobadia lamented, noting Williams not only stayed silent about her reasons but he also lost contact with her family. Their reactions left the businessman feeling like the whole divorce was planned. Guobadia told Page Six he was the real victim, implying Williams was a gold digger after his money. "I think I was targeted. I was targeted from day one for financial reasons. When I filed for divorce from my previous ex-wife [Williams] was in my DM praying for me." The entrepreneur noted he was in a "vulnerable position" after his divorce from "RHOA" alum Falynn Guobadia, and Williams' timing could not have been more perfect. "I entertained it. So it just kind of snowballed from there," he recalled, adding: "Getting engaged in 30 days … who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind to have done that. Of course, I'm paying dearly for it." Guobadia's regrets continued with his heartbreaking loss during the divorce proceedings. The judge had sided with Williams' ruling to uphold the terms of the prenuptial agreement. The deal left the reality TV star with $560,000 in alimony and their marital home in Atlanta, among other benefits. Guobadia noted he would appeal the divorce ruling, stressing that he never contested his past prenups because he never felt targeted the way he did with Williams. The businessman's insistence that his ex-wife was after his wealth might be linked to his successful career. The entertainer's ex-husband reportedly migrated to the US in 1982 from Nigeria. He founded Simcol Petroleum Limited Company in 2007, which supplies refined fuels in the southeastern United States, according to PEOPLE. Besides his Petroulem venture, Guobadia dabbled in movies. The entrepreneur has been credited as an executive producer on numerous projects, including 2012's "Jail House Dogs," 2019's "Kill," and 2020's "Son of the South." Outside of business, Guobadia is the proud father of five children from past relationships; however, he did not welcome a child with Williams. As stated, Guobadia's romance with Williams blossomed after he ended his relationship with her "RHOA" co-star. The former couple finalized their divorce in July 2021, a few months after the entrepreneur popped the big question to his then-lover. Guobadia and Williams tied the knot twice, with their first wedding ceremony taking place on November 25, 2022. The event, a luxurious Nigerian traditional native law and custom ceremony, was followed by an extravagant American ceremony the next day. The first ceremony featured 250 guests, while the second had 350 attendees, both of which took place in Atlanta. The former couple spared no expense for their union, with Williams once describing her double weddings as "a dream come true." However, that fairytale ended 14 months later. While Guobadia argues that he was "targeted" by Williams, The Blast reported that she shared a different story. The TV personality explained that when her romance with the businessman began, they matched each other's energies perfectly. Williams added that their age gap did not bother her, but allowed her to feel safe and assured in their marriage. Nonetheless, things allegedly changed when Guobadia's complex legal status came into play, and her efforts to rectify the situation were overlooked. According to the Bravolebrity, she sought the advice of an experienced immigration lawyer to help Guobadia, but he was not having it. Their differences allegedly skyrocketed during an argument on Valentine's Day in 2024, leading to Williams filing for divorce as she no longer recognized her husband. Will Porsha Williams respond to Simon Guobadia's exploitation allegations?

'RHOA' Porsha Williams Spotlights Ex's Complicated Immigration In Messy Divorce

Porsha Williams is taking stock of every factor that crashed her marriage to Simon Guobadia. The 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Star's messy divorce was a kaleidoscope of various disagreements and differing perspectives, all of which she airs out in a new interview now that she is officially single. Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia were married for barely two years following a lavish two-part wedding in Nigeria and Atlanta, respectively before they called it quits last February. The star claimed that when they began their love story, it was a round peg in a round hole as they both matched each other's energies. According to the reality star: "Simon matched my energy. He's very warm. He loved spending time with me. We were freakin' extra. If we wanted to fly out of the country every weekend or post on Instagram together about how much we loved each other, he was down." She added that the age gap between them also made her feel safe and assured in the marriage. Williams described the deported businessman as a breath of fresh air when things picked up. He was reportedly honest about his previous romantic mistakes, and this growth appealed to Williams, making her feel very vulnerable. This phase, unfortunately, did not last; Guobadia's complex legal status entered the scenario, posing a bigger problem than they both had envisaged. The Bravo star claimed she sought the services of an experienced immigration lawyer, who advised them on what to do, but her ex was not having it. She added that things had degenerated between them by Valentine's Day in 2024 to the point of no return. Eight days after this encounter, Williams shared that she filed for divorce. "…I just knew I was not looking at the same person I loved before. I could tell that he was just pretty much checked out of the relationship at that point," the TV star clarified to PEOPLE. Williams did not hesitate to trash the cheating rumors that trailed their divorce. She insisted no one stepped out on anyone in the marriage, and things ended simply because Simon had "some desires he wanted to accomplish outside of family." The TV star noted that his desire took a larger part of his priorities than what they shared; ultimately, it consumed them and turned Guobadia into a stranger. She once again touched on the issue of trust and safety, which waned as the months passed in the marriage. Williams described that one thing as the most significant loss in the marriage, and she felt the divorce blindsided her ex because she could not compromise how she felt. Williams added that she also came into the marriage smarter than she was in her previous marriage to NFL star Kordell Stewart. "I did a prenup. I was responsible. So in a way, that due diligence made it a softer landing to walk away," she noted. Last November, The Blast reported that Guobadia took legal steps against Williams' utterances about his private parts and sexual performance. He noted that his estranged wife had indirectly insinuated that his privates lacked proper functions, presenting them as a statement of fact and not an opinion she holds. Guobadia added that his reputation was at stake following Williams' unending rampage about his sexual health. While Porsha did not directly mention the Nigerian in any of her social media posts where she shared facts about erectile dysfunction, Guobadia insists it was bad timing. He added that the media also picked up on Porsha's language and went to smear his name with erectile dysfunction allegations. When Williams left "RHOA" in 2021, after nine years with Bravo, various narratives emerged following her exit, including the assumption that she left to avoid the drama the show was known for. As reported by The Blast in 2023, the TV personality dismissed the claims, insisting that her true fans know she is never one to back down from a good bit of entertaining drama. Williams explained that she has enough experience dealing with "harsh things on the show." Some factions also claimed she took a break from the show to get married to Guobadia. The star stressed that her exit was actually connected to her lengthy years with the network. Williams expressed that she needed to reshuffle her life, goals, and circles before turning 40, and "RHOA" came on the chopping block. Despite this, the star shared that she remained open to renegotiating her contracts and appearing on the show. "I've never written it off, I've never talked down on the show. I love what the girls are doing. I love that the brand is still as strong as it was before, and you just never know. I will say [that] I'll never say 'never,'" the entrepreneur explained. Williams eventually returned to the show for its 16th season, according to her announcement last February. Williams' return to the show was marked with major drama as her colleague on "Married to Medicine" threw a shade at the "RHOA" cast. The Blast noted that Toya Bush-Harris commented on the physical appearance of some cast members following the premiere. "It's a lot of Botox and fillers. Which, I am not mad. I saw Nicki Minaj on there; I saw Lil Kim," Bush-Harris declared before adding that the new faces were a lot to take in. Williams quickly came to her castmates' rescue, cautioning the star against her lack of showmanship. "To be honest, the girls from Real Housewives of Atlanta have always supported the other black shows on the network, and for me, definitely 'Married to Medicine' and to see her as a black woman talk about features and pick apart Atlanta is really kind of sad," the 44-year-old wrote. She concluded her comment by urging everyone to do better and not engage in tearing other people down for the fun of it. What is next for Porsha Williams?
