Post Malone's Toast To Audience Goes Terribly Wrong At Arizona Concert

Post Malone took quite the spill during a recent concert in Glendale, Arizona. In fan-filmed video from his June 21 show, the singer was seen strutting across stage with a red Solo cup in hand as he performed his single 'Pour Me a Drink.' As he knelt down to toast with a fan in the front row, a piece of the stage platform collapsed, causing him to tumble into the audience. While he lost most of his beverage, Post didn't appear to injure himself in the fall. Another video showed him swiftly make his way back onstage to finish his song and salute the crowd with his half-filled drink. The mid-concert mishap was far less serious than an accident that happened during a show in St. Louis, Missouri, in September 2022. Post was sent to the hospital with bruised ribs when he fell through a trapdoor while performing his song 'Circles.' Afterwards, the singer told fans what went wrong while sending them love in a video on Twitter. 'Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitar's on the guitar stand and it goes down,' he explained. 'And there's this big ass hole, so I go around there and I turn the corner and I bust my ass. Winded me pretty good; got me pretty good.' Post Malone falls as stage breaks apart during Arizona concert

NEW YORK — Post Malone toppled off the stage while performing in Arizona this past weekend, when part of the stage broke apart beneath him. Footage filmed by an audience member shows the 18-time Grammy nominee, real name Austin Richard Post, waltzing up toward the edge of the stage holding up a red Solo cup and leaning down to toast with the fan filming Saturday in Glendale, Arizona. Their cups are about to make contact when the edge of the stage cracks off and the 'Sunflowers' singer, 29, topples out of sight, according to the now-viral video. 'I didn't mean to almost break your back,' the clip is captioned. That's a nod to the 'Pour Me a Drink' lyric, 'Yeah I've been breakin' my back,' which is what the Syracuse native was crooning just before he fell. The fan who posted the clip added, 'I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show.' Billboard reports that Post quickly returned to the stage and resumed his performance at State Farm Stadium as if nothing happened, raising his cup once again to applause. At the time of publication, Post does not appear to have spoken about the incident, at least not on his Instagram. The show is part of Post's 'The Big Ass Stadium Tour,' which is set to head to Europe next month before returning stateside next spring. Post, who recently headlined Coachella, announced the tour back in November. But the year hasn't been all 'Sunflowers' and rainbows for Post, whose ex-fiancée Hee Sung 'Jamie' Park requested full physical custody of their 3-year-old daughter in April. The following month, Post reportedly filed a motion to dismiss his ex's petition.

Post Malone Falls Off Stage Mid-Toast During Arizona Show

Post Malone took an unexpected tumble off the stage during a recent stop on his The Big Ass Stadium Tour — but didn't miss a beat. The fall happened during Malone's performance of 'Pour Me a Drink' at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., on Saturday (June 29). As seen in fan-filmed footage that quickly spread across social media, the singer knelt down to toast a front-row fan who had her plastic cup raised, when a piece of the stage gave way beneath him. Malone — still smiling and holding his own cup — suddenly dropped out of frame as the platform collapsed. He reportedly got back onstage almost immediately, continuing to sing and raising his cup to finish the cheers, drawing cheers of his own from the crowd. One fan posted the viral clip on TikTok with the caption, 'I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show,' referencing her role in the moment. Onscreen text read, 'I didn't mean to almost break your back,' in a playful nod to the song's lyric: 'I've been breakin' my back.' Malone's quick recovery brought flashbacks to a more serious onstage accident in September 2022, when he fell through a trapdoor during a show in St. Louis and suffered bruised ribs. That incident led to a hospital visit and prompted the artist to promise fans he'd return to the city for a longer makeup show. Malone is currently in the middle of the North American leg of his tour, which supports his F-1 Trillion album. The Arizona show was among his biggest of the summer, and he'll continue the run with more stadium and arena dates before heading to Europe and Asia in August. 'Pour Me a Drink' — the track soundtracking the mishap — is a country-pop crossover duet with Blake Shelton. The song debuted during the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards and topped Billboard's Country Airplay chart (dated Oct. 12). The collaboration advanced by 5% to 27.9 million audience impressions Sept. 27-Oct. 3, according to song, which Post Malone co-wrote, is his second Country Airplay No. 1, after 'I Had Some Help,' featuring Morgan Wallen, dominated for four frames beginning in June. Both hits are from his introductory LP in the genre, F-1 Trillion, which motored in at No. 1 on the Aug. 31-dated Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200 with 250,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States. The set earned 1.1 million units over its first six weeks of release.
