4 Indian schools shortlisted for 2025 World's Best School prizes

Four schools from India have earned a spot amongst the top 10 finalists for the prestigious World's Best School Prizes 2025, a global recognition hosted by UK-based organisation T4 Education. The annual prizes celebrate schools making an extraordinary impact on education and shortlisted schools are located in Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh, each recognised for excellence across one of five categories: Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy initiative, launched in response to the COVID-19 crisis, aims to spotlight schools that are creating meaningful change both inside and outside the classroom. This year's winners will be announced in October, followed by a grand showcase at the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi on November 15–16, THE FINALISTS Government Girls Senior Secondary School, NIT 5 (Faridabad, Haryana) has been shortlisted in the Supporting Healthy Lives category. The school has developed an integrated approach that combines nutrition, physical health, and mental well-being with academics, transforming the lives of girls from disadvantaged School Jalindar Nagar (Khed, Maharashtra) is in the running for the Community Collaboration prize. This rural public school has implemented an innovative 'Subject Friend' peer-learning model, where older students mentor younger ones, fostering a spirit of mutual support and self-driven School, J P Nagar (Bengaluru, Karnataka) has been selected as a finalist for Innovation. The school uses a Design Thinking-based curriculum to nurture creativity, problem-solving, and student agency, preparing learners to think critically and empathetically in a rapidly changing Public School, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) made the top 10 list in the Environmental Action category. Eureka Forbes Q4 results: Profit doubles to Rs 49.5 cr, revenue up 10.6%

Health and hygiene products maker Eureka Forbes Ltd on Friday reported a twofold increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 49.48 crore in the March quarter of 2024-25. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 21.38 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by the firm now controlled by private equity firm Advent International. Its revenue from operations was up 10.67 per cent to Rs 612.65 crore during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 553.56 crore in the corresponding quarter. Eureka Forbes' total expenses increased 7 per cent to Rs 551.75 crore in the March quarter. Total income, which includes other income, was up 11 at Rs 617.04 crore in the quarter. Commenting on the results, the company's MD and CEO Pratik Pota said: "In Q4, continuing business revenue grew by 10.9% YoY, and this was the sixth successive quarter of double-digit growth. Led by operating leverage, EBITDA margins touched 13 per cent for the first time." The momentum in our product business sustained and our innovations and growth investments helped the products grow in high teens, he said. In FY25, Eureka Forbes' profit increased by 72 per cent to Rs 164.41 crore from Rs 95.64 crore a year ago. Total income rose by 11.53 per cent to Rs 2,451.47 crore compared to the previous year. This is the "second full year of transformation with yet another quarter of double-digit growth and lifetime high profitability," said Pota. Eureka Forbes is now promoted by Lunolux, which is a special purpose vehicle established by AI Global Investments (Cyprus) PCC Ltd, which acts as the investment hub for Asia for all the funds managed by Advent International. Shapoorji Pallonji Group, the former promoter exited the company in 2022. Over outlook, Pota said: "Looking ahead, our focus will be on driving service revenue. Several transformation initiatives have been underway, and I am pleased to report that we are seeing green shoots in our service revenue. At the same time, we will stay the course on innovations, step up our growth investments further, and drive margin improvement." Shares of Eureka Forbes Ltd on Friday settled at Rs 594.85 on BSE, up 9.97 per cent from the previous close.

Eureka Forbes share price: Eureka Forbes share price was in demand on the last trading session of the week i.e. Friday, May 16, 2025, as the scrip zoomed as much as 10.68 per cent to hit an intraday high of ₹598.70 per share. However, at 1:45 PM, Eureka Forbes share price was trading 8.57 per cent higher at ₹587.25. In comparison, BSE Sensex was trading 0.18 per cent lower at 82,384.58 level. What is the reason behind the northward movement in Eureka Forbes share price? Eureka Forbes share price was buzzing in trade on the back of a healthy March quarter of financial year 2025 (Q4FY25) results. The company's profit more than doubled (up 137.5 per cent year-on-year), to ₹50.8 crore in the March quarter of FY25, from ₹21.4 crore in the March quarter of FY24. Its revenue from operations increased 10.8 per cent Y-o-Y to ₹612.5 crore in Q4FY25, from ₹553.1 crore in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Adj. Ebitda) jumped 28.8 per cent annually to ₹79.7 crore, from ₹61.9 crore a year ago. Subsequently, Adj Ebitda margin expanded 183 basis points (bps) to 13 per cent in the March quarter of FY25, from 11.2 per cent in the same quarter last year. Pratik Pota, MD and CEO of Eureka Forbes, said, 'We are pleased to exit the second full year of transformation with yet another quarter of double-digit growth and lifetime high profitability. In Q4, continuing business revenue grew by 10.9 per cent Y-o-Y, and this was the sixth successive quarter of double-digit growth.
