Sask. potash company fined $119,000 for 2022 workplace injury

A Saskatchewan potash company has pleaded guilty to breaking occupational health and safety rules that led to a worker being injured in 2022.
Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, also known as Nutrien, has been ordered by a provincial court judge to pay a fine totaling $119,000 as a result of the December 2022 incident.
A worker at Nutrien's Allan mine was struck in the leg by a metal crane rail that was dragged by a telehandler.
Nutrien's Allan mine is located about 60 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
