Minecraft offers a wide range of in-game mechanics, and potions are one of the essential parts of the game. The game has a wide variety of potions, which are classified into base, positive, and negative potions.
Primarily there are only 30 potions, but players can modify these potions, which unlocks a new total count of 72 potions. Through this we understand that Minecraft's brewing system allows players to craft a wide range of potions that provide effects from healing to harm. Every potion in Minecraft serves a unique purpose, and all of them have different recipes, but the base recipe to craft a potion is almost the same for all.

All potions and their recipes in Minecraft
In Minecraft, the potions are majorly divided into three parts, i.e., base potions, positive potions, and negative potions. Here are the following potions that players can craft in Minecraft:
Base Potions
As the name suggests, base potions are the foundation for brewing. Without base potions, players cannot craft any potions. Usually, base potions have no effect upon consuming them.
Awkward Potion
Ingredient: Nether Wart + Water Bottle
Use: Required for nearly all advanced potions
Mundane Potion
Ingredient: Any non-Nether Wart item + Water Bottle
Use: Generally useless; cannot craft advanced potions
Thick Potion
Ingredient: Glowstone Dust + Water Bottle
Use: No standard use
Potion of Weakness
Ingredient: Fermented Spider Eye + Water Bottle
Effect: -4 attack damage
Positive Potions
These are the potions that are developed upon the base potions; they provide beneficial effects to help the players in various in-game situations like combat, movement, survival, or exploration.
1. Potion of Healing
Effect: Instantly restores health
Ingredient: Glistening Melon + Awkward Potion
2. Potion of Regeneration
Effect: Gradually restores health
Ingredient: Ghast Tear + Awkward Potion
3. Potion of Fire Resistance
Effect: Immunity to fire and lava
Ingredient: Magma Cream + Awkward Potion
4. Potion of Swiftness
Effect: Increased movement speed
Ingredient: Sugar + Awkward Potion
5. Potion of Strength
Effect: Increased melee damage
Ingredient: Blaze Powder + Awkward Potion
6. Potion of Leaping
Effect: Higher jump height
Ingredient: Rabbit's Foot + Awkward Potion
7. Potion of Invisibility
Effect: Turns user invisible
Ingredient: Fermented Spider Eye + Potion of Night Vision
8. Potion of Night Vision
Effect: See clearly in darkness
Ingredient: Golden Carrot + Awkward Potion
9. Potion of Water Breathing
Effect: Allows underwater breathing
Ingredient: Pufferfish + Awkward Potion
10. Potion of Slow Falling
Effect: Reduces fall speed and prevents fall damage
Ingredient: Phantom Membrane + Awkward Potion
11. Potion of Turtle Master
Effect: High resistance + slowness
Ingredient: Turtle Shell + Awkward Potion
12. Potion of Luck
Effect: Increases loot chance
Ingredient: Not craftable in survival (only via commands in Java Edition)
Negative Potions
These potions are primarily made to cause damage and other harmful effects and are often used on mobs and other players.
1. Potion of Poison
Effect: Reduces health to 1 HP over time
Ingredient: Spider Eye + Awkward Potion
2. Potion of Harming
Effect: Instant damage
Ingredient: Fermented Spider Eye + Potion of Healing or Poison
3. Potion of Slowness
Effect: Reduces movement speed
Ingredient: Fermented Spider Eye + Potion of Swiftness/Leaping
4. Potion of Decay
Effect: Causes Wither effect
Ingredient: Not craftable in survival (only via commands in Java Edition)
Potion Modifiers
Through this, the players can modify all the potions. Modifiers change how potions behave. You can apply them to most brewed potions to enhance, extend, or alter their delivery method:
Redstone
Dust
: Using redstone dust generally extends duration.
Glowstone
Dust
: Glowstone increases potency.
Gunpowder
: It turns potion into Splash Potion (throwable).
Dragon's
Breath
: Players can turn Splash Potion into a Lingering Potion.
