Liam Gallagher's awkward rant slamming 'part time rock stars' resurfaces
Liam Gallagher has never minced his words, and an interview has resurfaced of him hitting out at musicians who bagged a quick pay cheque before he and Noel Gallagher reunited Liam Gallagher slammed musicians who are "in it for the money". The comments were made by the Mancunian legend years before he and his older brother, Noel Gallagher, reunited as Oasis. Last weekend, the 52-year-old and Noel, 58, reunited on stage for the first time in 16 years, just shy of a year after they announced their long-running feud had come to an end and they were bringing the legendary band back. But after their first performance at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, Liam immediately exited the venue by car, with Noel leaving a little later on. It's claimed that both brothers are set to rake in around £50million each from the tour, which sold out in hours. Fans were left paying thousands after Ticketmaster introduced dynamic pricing, a surge in costs due to the huge demand. However, the band had no input in this. But in 2017, while appearing on The Graham Norton Show, Liam took a subtle swipe at fellow musicians. The singer, who is not shy when it comes to saying what's really on his mind, said: "A lot of these rock n' roll stars these days are coming in and just getting the cheque, do you know what I mean? "Imagine Keith Moon drumming his a**e off and then going home. You need to boot a few things and that, know what I mean?" Despite their once frosty bond, Noel and Liam settled their differences and left fans emotional when they walked on stage, holding hands – a sight many thought they would never see. This weekend, they return to their hometown for the first home show since 2009. Oasis will play five sold-out shows at Heaton Park on July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20. Each night, they will be performing to around 80,000 fans. But before the band take to the stage, Liam could face a very rocky reception. The frontman urged all fans at both Cardiff gigs to turn around and bounce up and down during the anthem Cigarettes & Alcohol. He said on Saturday: "I don't ask you to do the Mexican wave or sh*t like that, but I want you to do the Poznan so everyone turn around and put your hands on each other. It's 2025, don't be shy. When the tunes start, you jump up and down, it's very easy, you don't need GCSEs." Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp! And he also posted a clip of the Poznan on his official social media with his comments from Friday night where he similarly said: "I want you to do the Poznan, so turn around and put your hands on each other." However, the Poznan is a move used by Manchester City fans and he and Noel face performing in front of thousands of rival Manchester United fans this weekend. One music source told the Mirror: "Liam loves seeing the crowd do it, but it will be a higher risk strategy at Heaton Park. It will be no surprise if he does do it or gives City a shout-out on stage because he and Noel are such big fans. Bonehead is the only red (United fan) in the line-up." viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.

Liam Gallagher slams 'arrogant' brother Noel as he opens up on feud
Liam Gallagher has spoken out on his feud with brother Noel Gallagher, admitting that the pair are complete opposites. Liam Gallagher has confessed to one of the most glaringly obvious facts in the music world. He admitted that him and his brother Noel Gallagher are complete opposites. The Gallagher brothers, known for their endless feuds, appear to have burried their differences for the much-anticipated Oasis comeback tour. However Liam, 52, admits despite being siblings the pair are nothing alike. He is even in agreement with Noel' s comparison from the 2016 Supersonic documentary, when he likened himself to a cat and Liam to a dog. "Without a doubt," Liam states in an extract from the upcoming book A Sound So Very Loud. "He's arrogant, sticks his a*** up, comes and goes as he pleases... loves being stroked. Total tart. Loves you when he wants. I only get took out on a lead." Noel, 58, expressed in the documentary, as reported by the Mirror: "I'm a cat. That's just what I am. I've accepted it. I'm a bit of a b******d." Liam also reminisces proudly about the band's escapades during their rise to fame but explains the loss of similar antics in modern rock n' roll, commenting, "The Benny Hill element has gone from rock 'n' roll," Meanwhile, Noel exposes the backstory behind their notorious ferry fight in 1994 that axed their first opportunity to play in Amsterdam, revealing how the bust-up led to Liam and other band members arrest as Oasis were on the verge of fame. Noel clarified that the incident wasn't due to an alleged scrap with football fans but Liam actually caused a stir when he grabbed a roulette ball, which led to a confrontation with a police officer. The officer threatened to arrest Liam along with Oasis bass player, Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan. Noel reflected on the moment, saying: "Guigsy says that the copper told Liam he was going to arrest him. Liam goes, 'You and whose f***ing army?' Except he never got as far as the word 'whose'. In one movement they had him on the floor with his arm behind his back." Elsewhere, Oasis kicked off their reunion tour last Friday in Cardiff, marking their highly-anticipated return to the stage after 16 years. They are lined up to play next in Manchester this Friday, and will take to Edinburgh's Murrayfield stage later this year. Earlier in the week, it emerged that Liam might face a less than warm welcome at the Heaton Park homecoming concerts if he persists in urging the audience to "do the Poznan". At the Cardiff shows, he encouraged the crowd to spin around and hop to the beat as Liam stated: "I don't ask you to do the Mexican wave or sh*t like that, but I want you to do the poznan so everyone turn around and put your hands on each other. It's 2025, don't be shy. When the tunes start, you jump up and down, it's very easy, you don't need GCSEs." The Poznan is a celebratory move popular among Manchester City fans. However, given that numerous Manchester United supporters are expected at Heaton Park, Liam's gesture could stir a mixed response. A source revealed to the Mirror: "Liam loves seeing the crowd do it, but it will be a higher risk strategy at Heaton Park. It will be no surprise if he does do it or gives City a shout-out on stage because he and Noel are such big fans. Bonehead is the only red (United fan) in the line-up."

Oasis Heaton Park updates – fans hit with huge weather warning
Oasis are performing their first hometown show since 2009 this weekend, and it's set to be supersonic. Once warring brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher left fans completely gobsmacked last August when they confirmed that they had finally ended their feud, almost 15 years to the day after the band split. But this weekend, things will change as the band roll with it to Heaton Park, Manchester, for the first of five sold-out concerts. They'll first take to the stage on Friday, July 11 and again on Saturday, July 12. But they'll have a short break before returning on July 16, 19 and 20. Each night, they'll perform their biggest hits to around 80,000 excited fans who had spent hours in a virtual queue on sites including Ticketmaster and See Tickets to get their hands on tickets for the event, which many imagined would never happen. As the events unfold, the Mirror will be bringing you the latest information. At both dates in Cardiff, cheeky-chap Liam asked fans to do the Poznan during Cigarettes & Alcohol, but now faces a huge risk. The Poznan is a celebration used by Manchester City fans but at Heaton Park, he could be performing to an ocean of United fans. One source told us: "Liam loves seeing the crowd do it, but it will be a higher risk strategy at Heaton Park. It will be no surprise if he does do it or gives City a shout-out on stage because he and Noel are such big fans. Bonehead is the only red(United fan) in the lineup." If, like us, there are too many Oasis songs you would want to see on the setlist, don't worry, we've got you covered. Last week at Cardiff, Noel and Liam walked out to their 2000 track, F***in' in the Bushes, before performing their opening hit – Hello, and it was certainly non-stop bangers. Don't worry, though – click here to find out every song you need to add to your playlist. Thousands of fans are expected to travel across the country for the Heaton Park gigs. Ticket platform Trainline has seen a 20 per cent increase in passengers travelling to Manchester ahead of the shows. The biggest uplift in bookings to Manchester came from Norwich with a 115 per cent increase, Leeds with 107 per cent and Aberdeen with 98 per cent. Although temperatures across the UK haven't been as high after the recent mini-heatwave, things are set to change. As Heaton Park is about to kick off, temperatures could reach the low 30s. The Met Office says that on Friday, temperatures could hit as high as 27 degrees at its peak around 4pm, while the lowest, at 4am will be 15 degrees. At 1pm, there will be an orange warning, signifying a level 7 exposure of UV, meaning those in attendance will require sunscreen. As the gig comes to an end, the temperature will drop slightly to a more moderate 22 degrees. Saturday will also see a string of high temperatures. The peak, between 4pm and 7pm will be 27 degrees. Despite the staggering temperatures, the highest UV warning will be at 1pm, which is a level 7. The BBC says of the upcoming weather on Friday: "Friday should then be dry with sunshine throughout the day. Becoming very warm or hot."
