Massive fire breaks out in paint factory in New Delhi's Bawana; 25 fire tenders rushed to site
ANI 27 Jun 2025, 09:04 GMT+10 New Delhi [India], June 27 (ANI): A huge fire broke out in the national capital's Bawana area in the early hours of Friday with 25 fire tenders being dispatched to the accident spot to douse the blaze. . No casualties have been reported as of now, as per Delhi Fire Service. According to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar, the fire department received information of a fire in a paint company in Sector 2 of Bawana. Two fire brigades were initially rushed but due to the intensity of the blaze more were sent to the accident site, the official said The DFS have called more teams from Hapur, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, and Meerut. A total of 25 fire brigades are present at the incident spot. The fire has not spread to other factories. 'We received information of fire in a paint company in Sector-2, D-93 at around 5:30 am. Taking immediate action, two fire brigades were sent. Seeing the intensity of the fire, more fire brigades were sent. We have called in more teams from Hapur, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, and Meerut. Private firefighters were also called in. CFO Ghaziabad is also here. 25 fire brigades are already here, and more have been called in... The fire has not spread to other factories', Pradeep Kumar told ANI. The cause of the fire is yet to be detected and further details are awaited. (ANI)

Chennai: A day after actor Srikanth was arrested in a cocaine case, police are mapping his digital footprints to track down others who are part of the network. Teams have also mounted surveillance on pubs and bars . For now, Srikanth has been cited as the third-accused in the FIR, alongside Pradeep Kumar and John, a Ghanaian national. Police have initiated proceedings to seek custody of Srikanth and Pradeep Kumar for custodial interrogation. According to the Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU), Pradeep Kumar of Salem may have sold cocaine to several individuals who frequented a popular Nungambakkam pub. Investigators suspect he has done more than 40 drug transactions, including with actor Srikanth. Tamil actor Srikanth arrested after probe reveals substance abuse
Tamil actor Srikanth Krishnamachari, better known by his on-screen name Srikanth, was arrested late on June 23 by the Nungambakkam police in Chennai for buying narcotics and other illegal substances from a cartel. The actor's involvement, The News Minute reported citing Sun News, came to light when two former functionaries of the Tamil Nadu-based political party, the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, were involved in a bar fight and later arrested. An interrogation of the duo, Prasad and Ajay Vandayar, led to the arrest of Pradeep Kumar, a narcotics dealer. Prasad, according to The Hindu, had bought the substances from Pradeep and supplied them to Srikanth, best known for his lead roles in hits such as Roja Kootam, Parthiban Kanavu, April Maadathil, Nanban, a remake of the Bollywood hit 3 Idiots, and the Telugu hit Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule. Srikanth had procured the substances repeatedly at an upscale bar in Chennai a month ago. The actor was produced before a magistrate late on June 23 and remanded to judicial custody until July 7. Srikanth is yet to release a statement. The police searched the actor's residence in the Nungambakkam Lake Area, where illegal substances in small quantities were seized, The Hindu reported. He was subsequently detained for questioning and then arrested after his blood test came back positive for narcotics. Srikanth had procured one gram of narcotics for Rs 12,000 (Dh511.45) 40 times, investigations revealed. The actor had made digital payments amounting to around Rs 472,00 to dealers using Google Pay. The Chennai police's Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit is now looking into the involvement of other actors, and the supplier network that spans countries. Srikanth made his acting debut with the TV show Jannal - Marabu Kavithaigal directed by K Balachander, who launched the careers of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Prakash Raj and Jayaprada, in 1999. Srikanth's other notable roles came in Okariku Okaru, Bose, Coffee with Kadhal and Oru Naal Oru Kanavu.

ICRF Bahrain Celebrates International Yoga Day 2025 with Amad Group Employees
TDT I Manama pradeep@ The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) Bahrain marked International Yoga Day 2025 by organizing a refreshing yoga session for over 100 employees of Amad Group of Companies in Askar. The event, held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, aimed to promote well-being and a healthy lifestyle among the community. The one-and-a-half-hour session was expertly led by Yoga Instructor Mr Pradeep Kumar, who guided participants through a series of beneficial asanas and shared valuable tips for healthy living. The yoga session saw active participation from ICRF leadership, including Chairman Adv. V.K. Thomas, Advisor Dr. Babu Ramachandran, Vice Chairman Prakash Mohan, General Secretary Aneesh Sreedharan, Joint Secretary Suresh Kumar, and Yoga Day Coordinator Sunil Kumar.
