CCTV footage captures brazen breakfast bandit snatching DoorDash delivery from Prahran doorstep
A cheeky breakfast bandit has been caught on CCTV footage sneaking into the front gate of a property in inner Melbourne to swipe a DoorDash delivery. A young woman in leafy Prahran contacted the Herald Sun after realising her $13.50 smoothie had been poached from the door step. The woman had received a notification that her order had been dropped off — but then before she made it to the door, her CCTV cameras alerted her that another person had made their way through the gate of her yard. Footage revealed a brazen bandit who looked to be passing by before spotting the brown bag and sneaking in to pinch it before scuttling back onto the street. His dog follows, confused close behind. 'It was only out there for three minutes,' the woman who ordered the smoothie said. 'I'm not mad, just hungry.' Finding all but an empty doorstep, the woman could only hope the smoothie snatcher was lactose intolerant. The woman has contacted police to report the alleged offender.

VAFA: Ajax meeting biggest challenge, Premier grades talking points
Ajax coach Lachlan Buszard is seeing answers to what he described as his 'biggest challenge' just three games into the season. With last year's leading goalkicker Richie Simon on the sidelines due to an achilles injury suffered last year, the Jackas have needed to get creative inside forward 50. In Buszard's first three games as coach, his side have registered 36, 36 and 35 scoring shots. Those figures included the 16.19 (135) to 4.6 (30) win over Prahran on Saturday which left Ajax on top of the VAFA Premier C ladder with a percentage of 239.87. 'My goal was to find as many avenues to goal as we could,' Buszard said. 'With Richie out, it presented an opportunity for others to stand up which they have so far. We've managed to find multiple other forwards. 'On Saturday, every forward kicked a goal which was a really pleasing result.' Jordan Cohen did most of the damage inside forward 50 on the back of a big second half performance, finishing with five goals. Buszard said his side's ability to 'lower their eyes' helped to blow the game open with 12 goals to three after the main break. 'We adjusted on the fly,' he said. 'With such a young group, they're willing to learn so much which makes it really exciting for me and the rest of the coaches. 'I thought Aaron Bryer and Corey Zielinski were really strong across half back with their rebound. Jake Wrobel was solid in the ruck. 'Jack Hart and Nick Pike are two young guys who played their first game of the year. We've just got a whole lot of kids.' Ajax's 3-0 start is made all the more remarkable by the fact the Jackas' haven't trained or played at their home ground, Gary Smorgon Oval, since late February. 'We've been training Monday and Wednesday nights, time under lights has been tough as well,' Buszard said. 'There's been times where we haven't been able to get out walk-throughs done because of the time factor. We're looking forward to getting back there this week.' One name who was missing from the teamsheet on the weekend was young star Jethro Gunn. He kicked five goals in the first two games and averaged about 25 touches. Due to school footy and Sandringham Dragons commitments, it's not known when he might pull on the Ajax colours again. Ajax next travel to take on Mazenod before a home game against PEGS. TON WATCH IN PREMIER C? Jack Behnk has made a brilliant start to the season for St Bede's/Mentone and now has 19 goals for the season. Behnk, who played a VFL game for Casey last year, booted 12 goals in the weekend's win over Glen Eira/Old McKinnon. He was best afield in the 85-point win while Mitchell Rowe, Dan Garside, Xavier Russo, Flynn Groves and Patrick Tyquin also impressed. VULTURES GUN CONTINUES FINE START Matthew Emmanouil is enjoying a fine start to the season for Parkdale Vultures, who are 3-0, after earning a third straight nomination in the best. He played a key role in his side's statement win over Beaumaris by 63 points. Lewis Castle and Ryan Macdermid put together fine performances in front of goal with four majors each. COLLEGIANS ROAR TO LIFE Collegians had been well below were it had expected in the opening fortnight of the season but returned after the Easter weekend with a bang. Jordie McKenzie's side showed their class with a huge 38-point upset of reigning premier Old Scotch. Max Pinchbeck had a monster game with 30 disposals, 155 ranking points and 14 clearances. Campbell Walker was equally as influential with 24 disposals, 12 clearances and 10 tackles. Old Scotch big man Will Clark was the highest rated player on the ground. WOODROW MEDAL WINNER GOES BIG Old Xaverians gun Sam Fisher proved why he's one of the stars of the competition with a massive performance as his side came from behind to beat Old Haileybury. The Sandover Medal winner finished with 30 disposals, two goals and 153 ranking points in the win over the Bloods while Denis Symeopoulos found plenty of the footy. KELVIE CONTINUES IMPRESSIVE RETURN Luke Kelvie is enjoying a fine return to footy with Old Carey in Premier B. In the win over Old Camberwell on the weekend, Kelvie was the highest rated player on the ground with 130 ranking points and 27 disposals. The former Oakleigh Charger hadn't played before this season due to travel and studies. Through three games, he's averaged 21.3 disposals and 5.7 intercept possessions. VFL BOMBER LAYS CLAIM FOR A RETURN Jordan Busuttil staked his claim for a return to Essendon's VFL side with a best on ground performance in Williamstown CYMS' big win over Fitzroy on Anzac Day. He kicked a goal in the 20-point win as the Roys fell to 0-3 to start the season.
