The next worlds open Sept. 13 in Tokyo and Sept. 1 is 'the closing date for entries and the date the regulations come into effect,' World Athletics said in a statement. The latest rules update gives certainty for the 2025 championships in an issue that has been controversial on the track and in multiple courts since Caster Semenya won her first 800 meters world title as a teenager in 2009. Semenya won a ruling at the European Court of Human Rights three weeks ago in Strasbourg, France, in the South Africa star's years-long challenge to a previous version of track and field's eligibility rules affecting athletes with medical conditions known as Differences in Sex Development. That legal win because she did not get a fair hearing at the Swiss supreme court did not overturn track's rules. Your noon-hour look at what's happening in Toronto and beyond. World Athletics drew up rules in 2018 forcing two-time Olympic champion Semenya and other athletes with DSD to suppress their elevated natural testosterone levels to be eligible for international women's events. Semenya refused to take medication. Now, the Monaco-based track body requires a 'once-in-a-lifetime test' to determine athletes it says are biologically male with a Y chromosome. 'We are saying, at elite level, for you to compete in the female category, you have to be biologically female,' World Athletics president Sebastian Coe said. The governing body is covering up to $100 of the costs for each test with the protocol overseen by its member federations at national level. Test results should be ready within two weeks. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. 'The SRY test is extremely accurate and the risk of false negative or positive is extremely unlikely,' World Athletics said. World Athletics has combined its eligibility framework for DSD and transgender athletes, with transitional rules that let 'a very small number of known DSD athletes' continue competing if they are taking medication to suppress natural testosterone. 'The transitional provisions do not apply to transgender women as there are none competing at the elite international level under the current regulations,' World Athletics said. Now age 34, and her track career effectively over, Semenya should now see her legal case go back to the Swiss federal court in Lausanne, where she lost her original appeal against track and field's rules at the Court of Arbitration for Sport. WWE legend Brock Lesnar's daughter Mya goes public with romance with NFL star Drew Moss
Credit: Instagram/ Drew Moss Mya Lesnar, daughter of WWE legend Brock Lesnar, has made her relationship with San Francisco 49ers rookie Drew Moss official. The couple confirmed their romance via Instagram, when Moss posted a photo of himself and Lesnar dressed up for a wedding under the caption 'Forever wedding date,' and Lesnar replied calling him 'My handsome man'. For a while, Mya Lesnar chose not to reveal her partner's identity. In an interview in May 2025 for her college website, she spoke about Moss without revealing his identity. The daughter of Brock Lesnar stated that she had a boyfriend, and he and his family had been a huge support in her sporting journey and her record-breaking shot put victory. Senior Lesnar is yet to make any reactions to this news. 'Power couple status' Drew Moss began his collegiate football career at Lamar, where he started all 22 games over the 2021 and 2022 seasons. After transferring to Colorado State in 2023, Moss quickly became a cornerstone of the Rams' offensive line. He started every game that season at offensive guard, helping the team average nearly 400 yards per game while giving up only 14 sacks. In his senior year, Moss once again started every game—13 in total—and played a key role in reducing the team's sack count even further, down to just 10 for the season. The offensive line also helped produce Colorado State's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2017. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gold Is Surging in 2025 — Smart Traders Are Already In IC Markets Learn More Undo Moss was named to the All-Mountain West Second Team in his final year, following an honorable mention recognition as a junior. Brock Lesnar's Daughter Announces Relationship With NFL Player
Brock Lesnar's Daughter Announces Relationship With NFL Player originally appeared on The Spun. It's been an incredible year for Colorado State shot-put star Mya Lesnar. After winning a national championship earlier this year, she's now taking the next step in life by announcing she's in a relationship. This week, San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Drew Moss announced that he and Lesnar are officially in a relationship. The pair hard-launched the relationship on Instagram this week, with the two posing for some romantic photos at a wedding. "My handsome man," Lesnar wrote in response to Moss' Instagram post. It's no big mystery how the two of them met. Moss and Lesnar both attended Colorado State University. While Lesnar was winning titles in the shotput, Moss was emerging as one of the top offensive linemen in the Mountain West Conference. Lesnar has been a viral sports figure for years ever since fans realized that she is the spitting image of her father, legendary WWE wrestler and MMA fighter Brock Lesnar. As a result, many fans have been making all kinds of jokes about how sports leagues will try to recruit any children they may have: "League owners are about to barge into the hospital with contracts lined up as soon as they birth a child. This like Hulk and She-Hulk having a kid," one user joked on X. "Their future kid is on Mel Kiper's 2049 big board," another declared. "Buying Futures on their kids," a third wrote. "Baby is gonna come out the womb hitting 315 for reps." "Professional athlete regardless of gender." "Every college in America will offer their first offspring a scholarship pre-natal." "This is how we build American Yao Ming except instead of height we're going for sheer power and girth. That kid is gonna come out of the womb dragging a Mack truck behind him." Last month Mya Lesnar threw the shotput 19.01 meters to win the NCAA Outdoor Championship. Her win earned her an invitation to the Prefontaine Classic in July. Unfortunately, she was overmatched as two-time world champion Chase Jackson set a new meet record with a 20.94 throw. Lesnar's 18.23-meter throw was only good for 10th. Moss similarly might have been disappointed by not getting drafted. But he'll still get his shot to compete for a job in training camp with the Lesnar's Daughter Announces Relationship With NFL Player first appeared on The Spun on Jul 16, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Jul 16, 2025, where it first appeared.
