Prince George is spitting image of Prince William in 12th birthday photo
Prince George is teetering on tweenhood.
The eldest son of Prince William and Princess Kate is turning 12, and to celebrate, his parents are sharing a snap of him looking like a mirror image of his father.
In the photo, posted to Instagram July 22, George is all smiles, leaning over a wooden fence with lush greenery in the background, sporting a blue and white button-down shirt and chocolate brown zip-up vest. His honey blond hair and smile look similar to a young Prince William who, like his son, has been in the public eye since birth.
The image, captioned, "Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George! 🎂" was taken by celebrity photographer Josh Shinner.

George is the eldest of William and Kate's three children, followed by Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. They represent the next generation of royals, along with Prince Harry's and Duchess Meghan's own brood, which includes Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
While fascination remains fervent around the children of both Princes Harry and William, it remains to be seen how salient the royal institution will remain as they age toward the monarchy. Already, relations are strained after Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties and swapped life in the U.K. for the hills of California following a bitter family dispute.
Back across the pond, Queen Camilla, King Charles III and Princess Kate have all faced separate health battles that limited royal engagements, an increasingly important part of royal life as the centuries-old institution hopes to prove itself still valuable to a restless and evolving British public.
