Dunelm shaggy rug feels like 'sheer indulgence' and comes in eight colours

For those wanting to make their house feel more cosy and homely, a rug can be a great addition to any room. Whether its to add pop of colour in contrast to your carpet or to be used as a reprieve from the cold hard floor, a cosy rug is a staple piece of homeware that can elevate your space.
If shoppers aren't sure what size or colour they need, Dunelm has a vast selection of rugs that comes in a variety of colours and sizes to choose from. However, shoppers should note as the sizes of the rugs get bigger, so do the price tags.
One of the most popular rugs on Dunelm's website is the Slumber Shaggy Rug. With prices starting at £25 for the smallest rug, shoppers have described it as 'luxurious' and 'super softy'
Boasting a classic and durable design, this shaggy rug features a thick 5cm pile that will bounce back time after time, reports Birmingham Live. Crafted with synthetic fibres, Dunelm says this rug is easy to look after, long lasting and perfect for any modern home.
When the rug arrives, Dunelm recommends re-rolling it with the shaggy pile facing outwards for 24 hours in a warm room in order to help the rug settle flat. This rug is also the perfect addition for colder months as it can be used on heated flooring to keep you extra toasty.
In terms of size, the smallest dimensions are 60cm by 110cm (2ft by 3.5ft) with a price tag of £25, while the largest boast a whopping price tag of £449 and dimensions of 300cm by 400cm (10ft by 13ft). Shoppers can choose between eight colourways - olive, biscuit, ivory, natural, ochre, pacific, soft grey and steel.
Alternatively for those looking for even more colour options, Dunelm is also selling the Pure Washable Shaggy Rug. With prices ranging from £35 to £175 depending on the size you require, shoppers can choose between nine colourways for this machine washable rug.
Over on Argos, shoppers can also get the Habitat Noodle Plain Shaggy Rug from between £35 and £95. Available in cream, olive, grey and terracotta, this rug is made from 100 per cent polyester and features an anti-skid backing to keep it firmly in place.
Back to the Slumber Shaggy Rug, over 2,500 shoppers have awarded this rug an impressive 4.8 star rating. Many reviewers praised the rug for its soft feel, with the vast majority recommending that others also buy it.
One happy shopper said: "Very nice rug. The natural colour is nice and will go with anything. Good thick pile which is a mix of thick and thin threads. Good quality and excellent value for money."
With another five-star reviewer adding: "Super soft and dense rug. The gold is a really beautiful, rich colour without looking cheap and gawdy."
However, one shopper wasn't pleased with the quality: "We had one of these before and it was lovely quality, we had to replace it after it had an accident, the new one is not as good quality as our previous one, it looks and feels a bit cheaper."
While another person wrote: "Rug looks nice but have noticed some threds starting to come out."
On the flip side, a top reviewer raved: "Nice thick like shaggy rug. Feels very soft and looks quite luxurious for the price. Very pleased with my purchase looks nice and would recommend."
