Real estate trading volume exceeds QR 483 in one week

QNA DOHA The volume of real estate trading in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice during the period from June 15 to 19 amounted to QAR 423,674,670, while the total sales contracts for the real estate bulletin for residential units during the same period reached amounted to QAR 59,529,651. The weekly bulletin issued by the Department shows that the list of properties traded for sale included vacant lands, residential homes, apartment buildings, commercial buildings, shops and residential units. The sales operations were concentrated in the municipalities of Al Rayyan, Doha, Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Khor and Al Dhakira, Al Dhaayen, and Al Shamal in addition to the areas of the Pearl, Lusail 69, and Ghar Thuaileb.

QIIB announces winners of its Visa credit card campaign

Tribune News Network Doha QIIB has announced the names of the winners of its special promotional campaign launched in celebration of the 2025 Amir Cup football tournament. The campaign targeted holders of QIIB-issued Visa credit cards. Each winner received a cash prize of QAR 100,000, with total prizes amounting to QAR 500,000. The prize draw was held at QIIB's headquarters under the supervision of a representative from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and in the presence of relevant QIIB officials. The winners received their prizes during a ceremony held at the Bank's headquarters, attended by the winners and several senior QIIB executives. The five winners, as determined by the draw, are: Hamad Ali, Fahad Ali AlHanzab, Faisal Ebrahim Al Mohsin, Mohamed Khalil Al-Darwish, and Fahad Hassan Al-Hajri. The campaign was launched on May 6 and ran through May 24, 2025, covering all QIIB Visa credit cardholders. Customers were automatically entered into the draw upon meeting the specified spending criteria during the campaign period. Under the campaign terms, any customer who spent a total of at least QAR 10,000 using any QIIB Visa credit card was automatically entered into the draw. Customers earned one entry for every QAR 100 spent locally, and two entries for every QAR 100 spent internationally or through e-commerce. On the occasion of presenting the Amir Cup campaign prizes to the winners, Talal Al-Jaidah, Head of Banking Products at QIIB, stated: 'We extend our warmest congratulations to the winners. We are truly delighted to present these valuable cash prizes as part of this campaign, launched in celebration of the Amir Cup one of Qatar's most prominent sporting events. The campaign received an enthusiastic response from our customers, reflecting their strong trust in our services, campaigns, and exclusive offers'. He added: 'This campaign reflects our strategy to align banking services with major national sporting events. It strengthens customer loyalty and provides real added value whenever they use their QIIB banking cards'. The initiative aims to support men aspiring to work abroad, offering stable employment and attractive benefits, according to a press release issued by Guntur District Skill Development Officer Konda Sanjeeva Rao on Tuesday. Eligible candidates must hold ITI/ITC certification and have a minimum of four years experience. Applicants aged between 24 and 45 years are encouraged to apply. The monthly salary ranges from QAR 1,800 to 2,600, translating to approximately ₹42,478 to ₹61,365. The minimum contract period is two years. Selected candidates will receive free accommodation, food, medical facilities, local transportation and a return flight ticket once during the contract. The selection process includes both a test and a technical skill assessment. Working days will be six per week, with Fridays as a weekly off. Applicants will need to bear a total travel cost of ₹35,000, covering visa and flight expenses. This year's selected winners reflect a strong focus on ethical finance and accessibility. Pension Beyond, powered by Finspire, is a fully Shariah-compliant micro-retirement platform that enables users to access a portion of their pension funds in 10-year cycles. Tharwa Capital (Wealthtech) A user-friendly platform that facilitates fractional investments into Shariah-based social impact initiatives, making impact-driven investing accessible and affordable. Wathiq (Digital Lending) A peer-to-peer lending platform utilising blockchain smart contracts and a bespoke credit scoring system to provide secure, interest-free micro-loans.
