He emphasized that trusted football insiders have spoken highly of Sanders' ability to process the system and translate that understanding into on-field execution. 'We are talking about a guy learning a system, being able to process what he's learning and then being able to transfer that into success on the football field,' stated Pearl Earl made the case that Sanders' clear upside and ability to earn veteran respect, regardless of which team unit he's been running with make him a lock for the QB2 role heading into camp. Spencer German agreed, citing Sanders' consistency as the main reason he also sees him as QB2. The 37-year-old veteran, per ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, will be back on a two-year, $8 million deal with a maximum value of $10 million.
