5 former Seahawks named to ESPN's All Quarter Century team

5 former Seahawks named to ESPN's All Quarter Century team ESPN recently unveiled their All Quarter Century team: a list of who they consider to be the best NFL players from the year 2000 to present day. Their goal was to make a single team of the best to take the field during the first quarter of the 21st century. Naturally, more than a couple Seattle Seahawks made the list. Some qualifications ESPN made was players who began their careers in the 1990's were still eligible, but production from the year 2000 onward was the only criteria that would be counted. ESPN also allowed a "practice squad" player who missed the cut by their criteria. Those who did make the cut who played for the Seattle Seahawks are as follows: Steve Hutchinson (Seahawks 2001-2005) - second out of two left guards Bobby Wagner (Seahawks 2012-21, 2023) - second out of five linebackers Richard Sherman (Seahawks 2011-2017) - fourth out of five cornerbacks Earl Thomas III (Seahawks 2010-2018) - fourth out of four safeties Devin Hester (Seahawks 2016) - one out of one return specialists Naturally, seeing Bobby Wagner, Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas III make the list is unsurprising. They were the faces of the Legion of Boom, one of the greatest defenses of all time. A case could certainly be made Kam Chancellor should have been on it as well, considering he brought the boom to the LOB, but the rest of the safeties list was already crowded with Brian Dawkins, Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu, with Charles Woodson on the practice squad. However, I will outright say Walter Jones and Marshawn Lynch being left off are two inexcusable snubs. Walter Jones was a first ballot Hall of Famer and one of the best left tackles of all time. In 5,500 passing downs, Jones only surrendered 23 sacks and was penalized for holding nine times. His 4x All-Pro count matches Trent Williams, who did make the cut. Jones was mentioned as a practice squad player, but the roles should have been reversed. As for Marshawn Lynch, his 10,413 rushing yards and 94 all-purpose touchdowns are more than Priest Holmes, as well as having the same number of Super Bowl rings. Lynch is also a member of the Hall of Fame's All-Decade team of the 2010's, something neither Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry can say at the moment... nor do either men have championship rings. Finally... it is objectively amusing to see Devin Hester counted among the Seahawks after spending literally only two games with them during the 2016 postseason. But he is officially listed among Seattle's Hall of Famers so he does technically count!

ESPN's NFL All Quarter Century Team includes, omits some notable Arizona Cardinals players

ESPN's NFL All Quarter Century Team includes, omits some notable Arizona Cardinals players ESPN put together an All Quarter Century Team for the NFL. See what Cardinals players made it and who got snubbed. As we are in the dead of the offseason and there is almost nothing happening in the NFL until late July, now we get lists and rankings. ESPN put together an All Quarter Century Team for the NFL, constructing a 53-man roster with the best players of the last 25 years. The roster is sprinkled with a bunch of Arizona Cardinals players, some who played for Arizona at the end of their careers and others who were longtime Cardinals. Arizona Cardinals connections to NFL All Quarter Century Team G Alan Faneca: The Hall of Famer played his final NFL season with the Cardinals in 2010. He deserves a spot. We can claim him. DT Calais Campbell: This is a cool pick. Not only did he get drafted by the Cardinals and play nine seasons for them, he is back for his 18th season. While he only had probably two elite seasons, his consistent production over nearly two decades is something you can't ignore. DE J.J. Watt: Watt ended his career with the Cardinals and had 12.5 sacks in his final season. He only was one of the best defensive players in the NFL when he played. He's an obvious selection. CB Patrick Peterson: Some Cardinals fans remember his trade request, PED suspension and his badmouthing of former general manager Steve Keim more than the absolute dominance for his first eight NFL seasons. It is cool he makes the list. Cardinals snubs While it is hard to put everyone, there is one very noticeable absence. WR Larry Fitzgerald: You see Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, Justin Jefferson and Marvin Harrison Sr. and you get it, as all those players at their peak were probably better than Fitzgerald's peak. But if Calais Campbell can make it, Fitzgerald probably deserves a spot on this roster. 'Lizzie McGuire' and Disney Actor, 37, Looks Unrecognizable Now

If you were a fan of Lizzie McGuire in the '00s, it's likely you had a major childhood crush on Disney heartthrob Clayton Snyder. At just 13 years old, Snyder starred as Ethan Craft on the beloved Disney Channel series, which ran from 2001 through 2004 and starred as the titular character. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Shortly after Lizzie McGuire wrapped, Snyder retreated from the spotlight, leaving fans to wonder what he's up to now. The 37-year-old looks pretty uncrecognizable in the present day, trading in his enviable and luscious blonde hair (obviously, his hair secret was onto something back then) for slicked back brown tresses, adding a neatly trimmed beard into the mix and allowing some natural gray hairs to peek through for a salt and pepper effect. Despite taking a step back from acting, he's living a full life, as his Instagram bio notes that he's also a dad and husband to Upload actress Allegra Edwards. In 2002, he explained his decision to walk away from the industry to E!, noting he was 'thankful' when the show wrapped and he could start a 'new chapter' in high school. He then got offered the Lizzie McGuire Movie and quit the varsity water polo team, though he regretted it, noting, 'It was that decision, actually, that got me to stop acting completely. I was pretty down at that time.' Thankfully, he found his way back to his one true love, as his Instagram bio describes him as a a "waterpoloist" at LA Athletic Club Water Polo and host of a podcast titledWater Polo Wednesday. In 2014, he marked his return to acting, appearing in shorts and making guest appearances on some popular TV shows, with his IMDb page revealing that he's presently got several projects in the works, including Quarter, a film with Brooke Shields and Tati Gabrielle.

Showers & storms to end off the work week, quick recovery over the weekend

Today: Showers & storms, high 74 Tonight: Midnight showers, tapering rain, low 53 Saturday: Early drizzle, afternoon clearing, high 62 (53) Sunday: Sunny skies, high 67 (40) Monday: Mostly sunny, high 77 (46) Tuesday: Late thundershowers, high 83 (64) Good Friday morning! It's a fairly wet start to the day! Scattered showers have been pushing across the state as our next system gradually moves in. While there is a small break from the rain, showers & storms will return to end off Friday. A low pressure center and its accompanying fronts have gone stationary, so there's not a lot of movement going on for the first half of today. That is funneling in a few showers to start us off. There is a drier trend towards the mid to late morning and into the early afternoon. A second round of wet weather is on the way as this system finally starts to budge. Storms & showers push back into the area as we go into the afternoon and remain steady through the evening. There's no listed risk for severe weather, but an excessive rainfall risk has been issued for the entire state today. Hefty showers and thunderstorms could create the risk for isolated flash flooding today. Showers begin to taper off after midnight. Going into tomorrow morning, there is some isolated drizzle for the early morning hours of Saturday. For the Cap City Half & Quarter marathons, runners should expect cloudy and cool weather. Sunshine starts to push back in towards the end of the day, but the eventual cold front that develops will keep temperatures in the lower 60s. The rest of the weekend sees a very quick rebound. Sunshine pushes back in for Sunday. Temperatures are more typical for this time of year, getting back into the mid to upper 60s. We're jumping to the upper 70s for Monday and sunshine remaining steady. We're back in the lower 80s for Tuesday, but it comes with another chance for a few thunderstorms. Showers remain on and off going into Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures take a solid dip, but remain steady in the lower 70s for the middle of next week. -Joe Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
