Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun, recently caught in a grooming scandal linked to the tragic death of actor Kim Sae-ron, has filed an additional lawsuit and criminal complaint against her family. He has also taken legal action against Kim Se-ui, operator of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute. As per Koreaboo, the 'Queen of Tears' star was already pursuing a defamation and false accusation case against Kim Sae-ron's June 23, Soo-hyun's legal representatives at LKB & Partners released an official statement confirming that both the actor and his agency, Gold Medalist, had filed further complaints. Calling it a 'serious case of false accusation,' the team emphasised their intent to hold both parties 'fully accountable.'Speculations emerged suggesting that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron while she was still a minor. The controversy deepened following Kim Sae-ron's tragic death by suicide on February 16, 2025. Reports indicate that her situation had deteriorated after a DUI incident in May 2022, which led to financial disputes with her agency, Gold Medalist. Previously, on April 24, Cuckoo Electronics requested the court for a seizure of Kim Soo Hyun 's assets totaling 100 million KRW (around 73,500 USD), specifically targeting his bank accounts and loans. The Seoul Eastern District Court subsequently approved that request on May 20. Simultaneously, Cuckoo Electronics, Cuckoo Homesys, and another subsidiary of Cuckoo Holdings collectively filed a separate lawsuit against Kim Soo Hyun and his agency, GOLDMEDALIST, claiming a total of 2.03 billion KRW in damages. This particular case is being processed by the 22nd Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court.
