Is this Perth's youngest rap music fan?
He might only be eight years old, but Yokine's Noah Gianotti was as passionate as any rap music fan lining up to meet British performer Central Cee at Perth Airport on Tuesday evening ahead of the star's RAC Arena show tonight. One of forty or fifty dedicated locals attempting to greet the star, Noah was overcome with emotion after the drill rapper stopped to say hello, posed for a photo, and signed a cover of his 2025 album Can't Rush Greatness. 'I actually started crying after, because I'm a big fan of him,' Noah told PerthNow, with the youngster's parents on hand to capture the pair's encounter. While the touring artist's music is crafted for adult ears, the RAC Arena show is billed as an all-ages event. Sure to play Noah's favourite tracks Sprinter and BAND4BAND — cracking 900 million and 400 million listens on Spotify respectively, the youngster will not be attending the star's last Aussie show. For him, the tangible nature of a face-to-face meeting with his musical heroes means more than simply cheering them on from a distance. Noah's parents Nick Gianotti and Prue Earl have influenced his taste in music, and have been playing hip hop around the house for his entire life. As patient as he is passionate, Noah has waited hours to meet the likes of Drake, Post Malone, and Blink-182's Travis Barker upon their trips to Perth in recent times. His parents manage an Instagram account which shares all of his celebrity encounters.

Heavy traffic warning ahead of UK rapper's concert tonight
Main Roads has warned motorists about traffic congestion in Perth city ahead of Central Cee's concert at RAC Arena on Wednesday night. The 27-year-old British rapper, real name Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, is set to take the stage in front of thousands of fans at 9pm for the last show on his Can't Rush Greatness world tour. Doors to the arena open from 7pm, and Main Roads urged drivers on Wellington Street to drive with caution due to the increased number of vehicles and people in the area before and after the event. It comes after a 45-year-old man died after he was hit by a bus on Wellington Street while crossing the road about 6.15pm on June 20. Cee's tour comes off the back of the January release of his long-awaited debut studio album that features guest appearances from Young Miko, 21 Savage, Dave, Lil Durk, Skepta and Lil Baby. He has been playing sold-out shows across Europe, the UK, the US, Canada and New Zealand before heading Down Under to perform in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Tickets to the Perth concert, which is two days before his birthday, are still available through Ticketek for $114.95. Regarded as a leading figure in UK rap, he rose to prominence in 2020 with the release of his drill singles Day in the Life and Loading. Other successful songs include Doja, Band4Band and Sprinter — the most streamed UK rap song last year. Aside from his music, Cee is also known for his streetwear fashion sense, often styling tracksuits, puffer jackets and skull caps. He even started a brand called Syna World in 2023 and has done some modelling for Nike and Jaquemus over the years. After his Perth concert, he will head to Saudi Arabia for a show on August 1.

Tickets about to drop for blockbuster WWE event in Perth
Fans hoping to see wrestling star and Hollywood actor John Cena in the flesh can secure their spot at RAC Arena when pre-sale tickets go on sale on Monday. Cena will headline the return of WWE to Perth from October 10-13, with three shows scheduled — Friday Night Smackdown, Saturday's Crown Jewel and Monday night RAW. Pre-sale combo tickets for the shows go on sale 1pm June 30, while fans who pre-register will gain early access to tickets. General public combo tickets will be at 1pm Wednesday, July 2. 'This will be the last time fans can see the legendary John Cena live at a WWE event in Australia, with the weekend in Perth part of his global retirement tour,' Tourism Minister Reece Whitby said. 'For over two decades, John Cena has declared 'you can't see me', well Perth, now you can. 'This blockbuster weekend promises an action-packed line up that can't be seen anywhere else in Australia, New Zealand, or South East Asia this year, and tickets are sure to sell out fast.' The State Government won't say how much bringing the wrestling extravaganza to WA is costing taxpayers. But, according to the Government, last year's WWE Elimination Chamber at Optus Stadium attracted 18,000 fans from outside of WA and generated $36.2 million for the local economy. 'Major events are a key part of the Cook Government's tourism strategy, they fill our hotels, boost hospitality and tourism businesses, and encourage visitors to not only come to WA, but to stay longer, and explore further,' Mr Whitby said. This week, WWE superstars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford explored WA's tourism destinations, including Kings Park and Exmouth, exploring the wonders of WA's Coral Coast, promoting the state. With WWE's new global broadcast partnership with Netflix, Western Australia will be seen by hundreds of millions of viewers around the world, showcasing the State to a massive international audience. WWE hasn't yet released details of how much it will cost wrestling fans to attend the Perth events, but at last year's Perth WWE event ringside tickets started at $400. Fans can register for pre-sale tickets here.
