Fantasy Football: Bengals RB Chase Brown could provide Round 1 value

At the beginning of last season, the Cincinnati Bengals had RB Zack Moss atop the depth chart. As a result, he was a trendy sleeper pick in fantasy football. But as the season progressed and Moss struggled with consistency and injuries, it didn't take long for Chase Brown to engrain himself as the RB1 for the Bengals. It was in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers that Brown broke out, rushing for 80 yards on 15 carries and two TDs while adding two receptions for 12 yards. Brown would run away with the starting role and become fantasy football gold, helping managers win championships. He would finish 2024 as the RB11 overall in fantasy, rushing for 990 yards and seven TDs with 54 receptions and an additional 360 yards and four receiving TDs. Yahoo fantasy football analysts Matt Harmon and Justin Boone discussed Brown's current position in drafts going into 2025, currently going on average around pick 28. With an ADP in the early third round, both Harmon and Boone agree that Brown's going way too low in drafts. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] Boone isn't concerned about the defensive side of things with Cincinnati trying to get guys signed. He believes the team can be better and that Brown can handle a big workload again, similar to what he did most of last season, consistently getting around 15-25 touches every week. Boone also notes the lack of competition for touches in the backfield from Moss and rookie RB Tahj Brooks. If everything works out for the Bengals and Brown remains healthy, he could provide Round 1 value to fantasy managers who are lucky enough to snag him in the late-second or early-third rounds in drafts.

The Athletic declares Jeremiyah Love the best running back in college football for 2025

Fighting Irish running back will be under the spotlight in 2025. The Athletic has named Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love as the best RB1 prospect for the 2025 season. Love, a draft-eligible underclassman who stands an estimated six-feet tall and weighs an estimated 210 pounds, is author Dane Brugler's clear number one prospect. Brugler says that Love has "instinctive athleticism", though he must get better at pass-catching. Brugler says Love is clearly the best running back in college football and has the talent to be the best playmaker in next year's draft. Here's an example of Brugler's analysis. "It doesn't take a trained eye to spot Love's exceptional talent. A springy athlete, he has the lateral agility to bounce between gaps and the immediate acceleration to burst through holes at full speed. He ties it all together with innate patience and reactionary movements — those traits plus his balance through contact make him a nightmare to tackle." Brugler suggests Notre Dame may have won the national title over Ohio State had Love not been hampered by a knee injury. I think it's safe to say we're all hoping to see Love at 100 percent this fall.
