Get the REDMAGIC Astra gaming tablet a day early with this Early Bird voucher

Sub-10' gaming tablets are a growing trend – more portable than a typical slate, while still offering flagship performance. The REDMAGIC Astra (known as the REDMAGIC Tablet 3 Pro in some regions) is just such a tablet and it has the same silicon as the REDMAGIC 10S Pro and a similar cooling system to boot. Here's how you can be the first in line to get one, while also scoring a discount and some freebies. It's pretty simple - you need an Early Bird voucher. But first, let's meet the Astra. REDMAGIC Astra Eclipse (black) REDMAGIC Astra (Silver) The tablet has a 9.06' OLED display – a 16:10 panel with 2,400 x 1,504px resolution. It runs at up to 165Hz and has 240Hz touch sampling rate. There is a thin, symmetrical 4.9mm bezel around the display. With the high refresh rate, this display is built for gaming, but it also offers an immersive experience for watching videos. It has studio-level color calibration (deltaE of around 0.7) and support for the DCI-P3 color space. Being an OLED, it also has great contrast. Plus, it has been certified for Blue Light Eye Protection by SGS. 9.06' OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate The Astra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite plus the RedCore R3 Pro, which is responsible for image and frame rate interpolation among other things. The tablet is equipped with fast LPDDR5T RAM (up to 24GB) and UFS 4.1 Pro storage (up to 1TB). The enhanced ICE-X cooling system features liquid metal – it's called that because it starts softening at 50°C and carries much more heat than thermal paste. The metal is over the Snapdragon and the battery charging chips. Keeping things cool during charging improves efficiency by 13%. REDMAGIC also employed the industry's first dual layer vapor chamber. And, as we've come to expect from the brand, there is a 17 x 17mm shark-fin cooling fan that can spin up to 20,000 RPM (and it has the requisite RGB lighting per gaming machine tradition). Snapdragon 8 Elite with dual-layer vapor chamber, liquid metal and fan Speaking of charging, the 8,200mAh battery needs 71 minutes for a full charge. Bypass charging is an option to further reduce heat and prolong the battery's life. This capacity is enough to last over 5 hours of playing Honkai: Star Rail or Arena of Valor. Or if you just want to veg out and binge your favorite shows, the tablet will last up to 33 hours of continuous video playback. 8,200mAh battery with bypass charging The REDMAGIC Astra is designed for gaming and multimedia. Besides the performant chip, it has a screen that can reach 1,600 nits full-screen brightness and stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra, plus dual x-axis linear motors for gaming feedback. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port supports video out, so you can use a large external monitor with options including 2K @ 240Hz, 4K @ 144Hz and even 8K at 60Hz. You can also hook up external storage and other accessories as the port offers up to 10Gbps bandwidth. Stereo speakers and USB-C port with DisplayPort So, yes, you can use the Astra for work too – but if gaming is more your speed, here's what this tablet can do. It already has support for high refresh rate gaming in some titles with more on the way later this month: Available Call of Duty: Mobile 120Hz Minecraft 165Hz Arena Breakout 144Hz Coming July 2025 PUBG 120Hz League of Legends: Wild Rift 144Hz Delta Force 144Hz More coming soon! The Game Center launcher offers a performance monitor as well as control over games. For example, the RedCore R3 Pro chip can upscale Genshin Impact from 60fps to 120fps by going into the Picture Quality settings and picking High Frame Rate. Some mobile games are locked to portrait mode – you can force them into landscape using Game Space plug-ins. Additionally, you can pick different aspect ratios, including full-screen, 4:3 and 16:9. The latter is great if you want to cast gameplay to an external display. There are more plug-ins – from custom crosshairs to sound equalization. There is even a multi-screen gameplay mode. Alright, here's the deal. The REDMAGIC Astra will be available globally starting on July 16 – but you can get it a day early if you buy an Early Bird voucher. The voucher costs just $1 and comes with a $30 discount when it comes time to buy the tablet on July 15 (a day before people without a voucher). Additionally, you get a free 80W charger and gaming finger sleeves with the voucher. Here's how to get the REDMAGIC 10S Pro a day early and with a discount to boot

REDMAGIC is leveling up its gaming flagship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version. That is the name given to the overclocked version of the already quite powerful chip. The new model will be on open sale from June 18, but you can get it a day early with Early Bird voucher. In more detail, the REDMAGIC 10S Pro runs its CPU at 4.47GHz (up from 4.32GHz) and the Adreno 830 GPU is boosted to 1.2GHz (up from 1.1GHz). Even the NPU got dialed up and is 40% faster. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version An additional performance uptick comes from the RedCore R3 Pro chipset (the original 10 Pro phone uses the R3 non-Pro). This chip handles super-resolution upscaling for 120fps gaming and deals with things like reducing input latency and controlling cooling. There's more – the REDMAGIC 10S Pro features LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage. The previous version has LPDDR5X RAM instead – the 'T' stands for 'Turbo', by the way, as 5T promises to be 13% faster than 5X. LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 Pro storage • RedCore R3 Pro Here's the deal – open sales of the REDMAGIC 10S Pro will begin on June 18. However, you can jump to the front of the queue and get it a day early on June 17 with an Early Bird voucher. You can grab an Early Bird voucher starting today, June 12, for just $1. This not only gives access to the June 17 sale, but it also gives you a $30 discount coupon – this drops the price of the phone down to $619. And REDMAGIC will throw in a limited edition sticker too. The voucher will be available until the 17th. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro has some serious cooling for its flagship chipset – it has 30% more liquid metal (totaling 36mm²) than before, which has much higher thermal conductivity than typical thermal compound. The liquid metal directly covers the chip, which drops temperatures down by 5°C. A 23,000 RPM fan and liquid metal directly on the chip The 23,000 RPM active cooling fan makes the 10S Pro one of the few phones that can sustain its performance for more than a few minutes. The large 12,000mm² vapor chamber helps with that too. The fan has RGB lighting, of course. The phone is equipped with a perfectly rectangular 6.85' 1.5K AMOLED full screen customized for REDMAGIC by BOE. It runs at up to 144Hz and has a touch sampling rate of 2,500Hz for one finger, 960Hz for multiple. The display can hit a peak brightness of 2,000 nits for outdoor visibility. There are additional controls – two shoulder triggers (520Hz sampling rate) and the MagicKey (which launches Game Space by default). The phone is dated IP54 for dust and water resistance, despite the cooling fan. It has dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra sound and a 3.5mm headphone jack for the lowest latency connection possible. Inside is a massive 7,050mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The battery has 25% higher energy density than the previous model. The USB-C port is wired for USB 3.2 Gen 2, by the way. The phone has two 50MP cameras on the back – a 1/1.55' main (f/1.88, OIS, 23mm) and an ultra-wide (1/2.88', 13mm, f/2.0). There is also a 2MP helper camera that can enhance overall photo quality. On the front is... nothing that you can see, but underneath the screen is a 16MP selfie camera. REDMAGIC 10S Pro colors: Nightfall, Moonlight and Dusk Here is a pricing breakdown for the REDMAGIC 10S Pro – note that it doesn't include the $30 coupon you can get with the Early Bird voucher. With that voucher, you can grab a 10S Pro on June 17, without it, open sales start the day after. Samsung loses exclusivity over overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite, thanks to this phone

Supplied by REDMAGIC TL;DR REDMAGIC has announced the REDMAGIC 10S Pro gaming phone. This is the first non-Samsung phone to feature an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but it also has a cooling fan. The new phone starts at $699 and is broadly available via the company's website. The Samsung Galaxy S25 phones use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which is an overclocked version of the flagship processor. Now, the first non-Samsung phone has arrived with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and it might be the performance king of 2025. REDMAGIC has announced the REDMAGIC 10S Pro, and it indeed has the so-called Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version processor. This offers a peak CPU clock speed of 4.47GHz and a peak GPU frequency of 1.2GHz. By contrast, the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite chip tops out at 4.32GHz and 1.1GHz, respectively. Our own testing previously showed that several phones with the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite processor overheated during GPU stress tests. Fortunately, REDMAGIC's new phone offers a cooling fan (24,000RPM) to keep temperatures down. But even the presence of a fan wasn't enough to stop the earlier REDMAGIC 10 Pro from severely throttling and delivering sky-high temperatures. So I'm not feeling optimistic about the 10S Pro's sustained performance under heavy load. Nevertheless, you still have other cooling measures like a large vapor chamber and 'Liquid Metal 2.0' tech. REDMAGIC 10S Pro: What else does it have? Supplied by REDMAGIC The gaming-related features don't end here. You can also expect capacitive shoulder triggers, RGB lighting, and a so-called Magic Key that takes you to the GameSpace menu by default. Thankfully, this button can be customized for other tasks. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro also offers a 7,050mAh battery, which should deliver long endurance on paper for your gaming sessions. This is paired with 80W wired charging via a bundled charger. Just don't expect wireless charging here. Other notable features include a 6.85-inch 144Hz OLED screen (1.5K) with a 16MP under-display selfie camera, a 50MP+50MP+2MP triple rear camera system, an IR blaster, and REDMAGIC OS 10.5 atop Android 15. A closer look at the phone also reveals the welcome presence of a headphone jack. REDMAGIC 10S Pro pricing and availability The good news is that this gaming phone will be available in a variety of markets, including the US, via the REDMAGIC website. Other notable locales include Asia-Pacific markets, Europe, the Middle East, and the UK. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro starts at $699 / £579 / €649 for the base 12GB/256GB model. Meanwhile, the top-end 24GB/1TB model costs $999 / £879 / €999. REDMAGIC added that it's also offering early bird pricing of $649 from June 17. Got a tip? Talk to us! TL;DR The REDMAGIC 10S Pro will launch on Monday with a built-in PC emulator, according to a Weibo post from the company. It may support titles like Wuthering Waves and Blade & Soul 2. The phone packs a boosted Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 7,500mAh battery, and an advanced cooling system. The Nubia REDMAGIC 10 Pro is high on our list of the best phones for gaming, and its successor looks like it's about to open up another dimension to mobile play. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is set to launch on Monday, and according to the company, it will feature a PC emulator. The announcement came via a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, where the REDMAGIC account teased the feature with an image of the phone and a mock-up of a game on screen with external game controllers. A caption stated it would let users 'play PC games anytime, anywhere.' This upgrade for the series suggests users could enjoy full desktop titles without cloud streaming or third-party hardware. While REDMAGIC hasn't detailed how the emulator works, a page on NubiaMart offers some early insight into what it might support. It suggests compatibility with titles like Wuthering Waves, Blade & Soul 2, Arena Breakout, and Delta Force: Hawk Ops running at up to 144Hz. 'play PC games anytime, anywhere.' This kind of native PC gaming capability on Android echoes earlier experiments from other manufacturers. Xiaomi showed off a system in January that could run Steam games on an Android tablet using its WinPlay tech. That effort was still in early testing, but REDMAGIC seems ready to ship something real. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro also looks set to be a spec-heavy device. According to the NubiaMart page, it features an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, REDMAGIC's custom R3 Pro gaming co-processor, and a huge 7,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
