BLACKPINK's Lisa sparks mixed reactions for throwing Labubu gift back at fan during DEADLINE concert: 'Was there a hidden camera?'
BLACKPINK's Lisa has been known for her love of Labubu dolls long before they became the popular collectible trend they are today. She's often credited by fans and collectors as one of the public figures who helped bring these unusual dolls into the spotlight. Whether it's through her personal posts or fan interactions, Lisa's attachment to Labubu has become something of a running joke among her fans, many of whom affectionately tease her for being 'obsessed' with the wide-eyed, scruffy-looking characters. Although the dolls themselves have received mixed reactions online, with some calling them 'ugly' or unsettling, Lisa hasn't shied away from showing her love for them. However, a recent incident at BLACKPINK's DEADLINE concert in Goyang Stadium, Seoul has sparked mixed reactions online. During the show, a fan threw a Labubu doll toward Lisa, who briefly picked it up and tossed it back into the crowd. The moment was captured on video and has now gone viral across social media. While many fans defended the ROCKSTAR hitmaker, saying it seemed like a spontaneous response, others called her reaction rude, flooding the comments with criticism. Scroll ahead to watch the video. Fans throw Labubu at Lisa; she tosses it back Over the weekend, BLACKPINK lit up Goyang Stadium with two back-to-back shows that felt more like a MAMA stage than a typical concert, as fans described it. The events drew a star-studded guest list, with high-profile celebrities ranging from K-pop idols to actors and entertainers spotted in the crowd. Despite being on hiatus for nearly three years, Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé reminded everyone why BLACKPINK remains one of the biggest girl groups in the world. Their recent shows delivered stunning visuals, high-energy performances, and the signature aesthetics fans have come to love. However, one moment during the concert sparked conversation online. A fan threw a Labubu doll toward Lisa, who ran to pick it up, took a look at it, and quickly tossed it back into the crowd. The video of the moment has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions. Fans divided While many fans defended Lisa and pointed out the safety risks of throwing objects on stage, others felt it was a sincere gesture from a fan who knew about her love for Labubu dolls. "Rude, she just lost a fan," one user wrote, while another mentioned, "Her face reaction after doing that. Poor fan." "Nothing lasts forever, including fame, but people will forever remember your rudeness," one mentioned. However, some fans noted that Lisa initially looked at the doll with affection, suggesting she may have noticed something unusual before deciding to toss it back. Others raised concerns about safety and privacy, pointing out that in the past, sasaengs have hidden cameras inside plush toys to secretly film idols—something that poses a serious invasion of their personal space. BLACKPINK to kick off U.S. leg of Deadline World Tour After wrapping up their two-night shows in Goyang for the DEADLINE World Tour, BLACKPINK is now set to head to the United States. The group is scheduled to hold two back-to-back concerts in Los Angeles over the coming weekend. Following LA, they're expected to perform in Chicago before moving on to Toronto and New York. BTS' J-Hope's Killin' It Girl copy Lisa's ROCKSTAR? Fans exclaim 'what a joke' to visual similarity claims
On June 13, BTS' J-Hope officially released his much-anticipated solo single Killin' It Girl, featuring American rapper GloRilla. Accompanied by a bold and visually striking music video, the song instantly caught the attention of fans across the globe. The MV has vibrant sets, creative choreography, and high-fashion aesthetics. However, as excitement surged online, a parallel controversy also began brewing. This time, it involves accusations of visual plagiarism. Visual overlap sparks debate Shortly after the music video premiered, a number of online users began drawing comparisons between J-Hope 's Killin' It Girl and BLACKPINK Lisa 's June 2024 solo release ROCKSTAR. The discussion started on social media platforms, where some critics highlighted certain stylistic elements that appeared in both videos. These included the use of star-shaped costumes, specific camera angles during choreography shots, and the use of brightly lit, urban-inspired set pieces. The debate quickly escalated, with detractors alleging that Killin' It Girl borrowed too heavily from ROCKSTAR. Some even coined the term 'Copystar' to criticize J-Hope's creative choices. They accuse him of mimicking Lisa's concept too closely without offering anything distinctly new. Fans hit back at claims As the allegations gained traction, J-Hope's dedicated fanbase, ARMY, swiftly came to his defense. Many fans argued that the elements being criticized were far too generic to be considered unique or proprietary. They emphasized that star motifs, edgy fashion, and urban-style backdrops are recurring themes across global pop music. Also, they cannot be claimed by a single artist or production team. Supporters also noted that J-Hope has consistently demonstrated a strong creative identity through his previous works. A busy solo chapter for J-Hope This controversy comes in the middle of what has been a prolific year for J-Hope's solo career. Since the start of 2025, the BTS rapper and dancer has maintained momentum with multiple releases, while also embarking on a major world tour. In March, he dropped MONA LISA. Shortly after, he collaborated with American singer Miguel on Sweet Dreams. Now, with the release of Killin' It Girl, J-Hope returns with a high-energy anthem layered with confident verses and bass-heavy production. GloRilla's feature adds a gritty contrast to J-Hope's smoother delivery. As of now, neither J-Hope nor his agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, has officially responded to the allegations.

Fans outraged as Grand Theft Auto VI delayed, but Rockstar announce release date
Grand Theft Auto fans have been left disappointed as Rockstar has finally announced a release date for Grand Theft Auto VI. GTA VI is, quite frankly, the most anticipated product ever — video game or otherwise — with the joke 'we got [X] before GTA VI' frankly overstaying its welcome. Yes, the meme has died before we even got GTA VI. And despite Rockstar releasing a teaser trailer confirming that we're returning to Vice City with the game's first-ever female protagonist, the 2025 release date had fans salivating for more information all this year, as a release was rumoured for Q3 of 2025. Pic: Rockstar Games However, most fans have realised that, alas, it was probably going to be delayed — with the game's developers confirming that the game will be released on May 26, 2026 — being delayed by a year. 'Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026,' Rockstar Games wrote on their Newswire. 'We are very sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game. 'With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve. The game's developers confirmed that the game will be released on May 26, 2026. Pic: Rockstar Games 'We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.' While a release date has been finally confirmed, fans of the game have been left heartbroken and outraged that we'll be waiting a year for the latest GTA — with YouTuber TGG simply tweeting 'AAAAAAAH' across several tweets (same, to be fair). Others shared videos of past GTA character Trevor Phillips banging his head against a tree in frustration, while another asked for any other information, even a screenshot, from the upcoming game. NOT EVEN SCREENSHOTS DAWG ROCKSTAR PLEASE SHOW US SOMETHING 😭 — Synth Potato🥔 (@SynthPotato) May 2, 2025 Others pointed out that the game's delay was a matter of when, not if, with one commenting 'The delay everyone kinda expected.' 'Twitter flipping out about GTA 6 being delayed like it wasn't the most obvious thing ever,' another wrote, while another wrote 'On one hand this is disappointing. On the other, I really hope this extra time means we get an incredible complete experience on launch just like RDR2 was. Good luck on development, we will be there.' Grand Theft Auto VI will release on May 26, 2026. And if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch the teaser trailer again and perhaps shed a tear.
